Chapter 388 Heart Tower
William remained stunned for a while before reacting.
"I already have a girlfriend. You met her at the last ball." William felt it was necessary to clarify.
"I was just joking with you!" Delilah's lips curled up as she revealed that her previous words were simply a test for William. However, when she saw the unwavering gaze in his eyes, she felt slightly disappointed.
"Enough with the jokes, let's talk business then!" He said as relief rushed over him.
"I can't make such a big decision. This is a conversation you need to have with my dad. He's the master of the Flood Boxing Guild," Delilah said.
"Is your dad in Canada?" William was eager to meet him.
"Yeah! He just arrived in Canada last night and brought a lot of people with him," Delilah pursed her lips, and a gleam flickered in her lively eyes, as if she had some mischievous thoughts.
"That's perfect. I want to meet your father," William said without thinking.
"My father is not someone you can meet just because you want to," Delilah's eyes darted for a moment, and her tone changed. "But if you agree to a small request of mine, I might consider taking you to see my father."
"No problem, tell me!" William nodded in agreement.
"I want you to accompany me for a day and go shopping," Delilah raised her eyebrows, and there was a hint of anticipation in her lively eyes.
In fact, even if William didn't agree to go shopping with her, Delilah would still take him to meet her father. After all, a Silver Level expert was someone various forces sought to befriend. But if she could get William to agree to spend a day shopping with her, that would be perfect.
"No problem, but only for shopping," William agreed apprehensively. He was beginning to feel a little afraid of this girl.
"Okay, let's go now!" Delilah's face was filled with joy.
"Aren't you going back to school?" William asked in surprise.
"I can't understand anything in class, so I'd rather go out and have some fun. Come on!" Delilah said, pulling William's sleeve and heading towards the stairs of the rooftop.
William was speechless for a moment, but still followed her downstairs.
After leaving school, the two of them got into his Ferrari, but they hadn't decided where to go yet.
"Where do you want to go? I'll accompany you all day," William said as he leaned over to buckle Delilah's seatbelt in the passenger seat.
The latter blushed when faced with his warm breath so close to her.
"I want to go to the Heart Tower. I heard it's the favorite place for martial artists in Canada. When martial artists from outside come to Canada, they must visit the Heart Tower. It's also the most famous island in the middle of a lake in Canada. I've been wanting to go there for a long time," Delilah tried to calm herself down.
"Heart Tower? Is it a place specifically for martial artists to trade?" William suddenly became interested in this place.
"Yeah, that's what I heard. They all choose to do business there, selling weapons, experiences, and even the school of boxing recruits students from there," Delilah said with a longing expression.
"Alright, let's go there!" William's interest was piqued by Delilah's suggestion. He stepped on the gas pedal, and the Ferrari zoomed ahead.
William had never been to Heart Tower before, but the navigation system could guide him.
Half an hour later, William's Ferrari arrived at a large lake. Many tourists were playing around the lake, and in the center of the lake was a small island, which was the Heart Tower.
"Do we take a boat to get there?" There were no roads or land connecting to the small island in the center. William looked around; it was completely isolated.
"Yes, there's a ferry over there." Delilah pointed to a ferry spot on the shore.
A short while later; the two of them boarded a small boat and slowly made their way towards the center of the lake with the boatman rowing.
"I never expected to encounter such a picturesque place in Canada." Sitting at the bow of the boat, William gazed at the crystal-clear lake water and couldn't help but sigh in awe.
"There are still many things you wouldn't expect. When you have a chance to come to Savannah, I'll take you to even more beautiful places. The scenery there is a hundred times better than here." Delilah sat beside William; her face full of joy.
Once the boat docked, William and Delilah were the first to get ashore. It was then that William realized the island was quite large, nearly the size of a stadium, capable of accommodating over ten thousand people.
There weren't many buildings on the island, just rows of commercial tents. Each tent housed a small shop, selling various items, while the air was filled with the sounds of vendors trying to catch the attention of the people visiting the island.
With people bustling about, it seemed prosperous, and the diverse clothing worn by these people made William feel like he had entered a new world, broadening his horizons.
"This place is really nice!" Walking along one of the roads, William's gaze scanned around, captivated by all the intriguing novelties.
"William, take a look at this Beautifying Pill for me, see if it's genuine." Delilah waved to William; excitement written all over her face.
Upon hearing her, William walked over, feeling curious about this Beautifying Pill. However, he didn't understand, making it impossible for him to determine its authenticity.
"I don't know, but there seems to be a faint energy inside this pill." William took one Beautifying Pill and held it in his hand, sniffing it.
"You're quite remarkable, sir." The stall owner was a lean man in his fifties. He was slightly surprised to hear that William could sense the energy within the pill.
"How much for one?" William casually asked.
"Ten thousand dollars per pill!" The stall owner responded earnestly.
Those words truly shocked both William and Delilah.
"Ten thousand dollars per pill! Are you robbing people?"
"Ah!" Delilah exclaimed. It was her first time here, and she and William were unaware of the prices in this place.
"I can tell you two are newcomers to Heart Tower! The prices here are considered low at 100,000 dollars," the stall owner responded, not annoyed but rather smiling as he explained to William and Delilah. It seemed like he had encountered situations like this before.
"Moreover, the Beautifying Pill is made with rare medicinal herbs. It takes forty-nine days to refine and is incredibly effective against freckles, acne, wrinkles, and more," the stall owner added.
"Really?" Delilah said skeptically.
"It's true. If it doesn't work, you can come to me for a refund," the stall owner said confidently.
"Alright, I'll take this Beautifying Pill," Delilah was about to pay when suddenly, someone appeared beside her and handed a card to the owner.
"Sir, I'll pay for this lady's Beautifying Pill," the newcomer declared.
The sudden remark attracted the attention of both William and Delilah. They saw a young man with fair complexion, holding a fan, looking at Delilah attentively.
