Chapter 216 The Completion of the Martial Arts Gym
William quickly arranged the invitation for Noad. As Noad rushed to find Munro with the invitation, his siblings looked hesitant.
With a confident look on his face, it had only been one day, and Noad had already secured the invitation. This speed was too fast.
"Noad, have you recently gotten acquainted with someone important from a prestigious group?" Munro looked at the invitation personally stamped by Mr. Parker, and like Noad, curiosity and suspicion arose within him. In the past few days, his son had been performing exceptionally well.
Every problem seemed to fall into his hands and he has been resolving them effortlessly, which was surprising and shocking to them.
"It's just luck, nothing more. How could I possibly know anyone important from a prestigious group?" Noad vowed never to mention William. He was his secret benefactor now, and Noad relied on him. If someone were to take him away, it would be disastrous.
"Luck? Seriously?," Kevin said, slightly jealous.
"Yeah, Noad, if you know such important people, let us all get to know them," Benjamin couldn't help but speak up. Deep down, he also wanted to meet such important individuals.
"Noad, how about we host a party and gather everyone we know? It would be a good opportunity for us to get acquainted and expand our network," Megan also tried various ways to get close to the important person behind Noad.
The idea was great, but no matter how much everyone tried to persuade him, Noad never uttered a word about William's contribution, fearing that his future son-in-law would be stolen by someone else.
Munro had no solution to this, but he couldn't help but sigh secretly. With only one daughter under Noad's name, the Wilson family's inheritance could not be passed down. He had been calculating this in his heart for a long time.
Even if Noad performed exceptionally, he couldn't pass the position of Chairman of this new company to her.
"Alright then, let's proceed as discussed. Noad will be the CEO of this new company. The auction is starting in a few days. Everyone should gather information about the important individuals who will be participating!" Master thought for a moment before continuing.
"Try not to provoke those important individuals from other cities. They might become our future business partners."
Noad and the others nodded in agreement. They recognized the importance of connections in the business world.
The day of the Bay Area auction was approaching, and William spent his days practicing martial arts and strength training, with slow progress.
Additionally, the jujitsu gym was finally completed two days before the auction. William rushed over to celebrate, but unexpectedly, Antony was there too.
With his presence, the jujitsu gym couldn't help but become lively. To please him, various important figures also came to show their support.
The jujitsu gym was originally a taekwondo gym in the North district, which had been renovated. It had a total of three floors, each approximately over a thousand square meters. The first floor was for training, equipped with various exercise equipment, offering a wide variety of options.
On the second floor, there are administrative offices for finance, Human resource, and general office use. The third floor, on the other hand, serves as accommodation for the apprentices and hunters from the martial arts school.
William walked alone in the martial arts school, surrounded by various onlookers.
As he gazed at the training equipment, William couldn't help but yearn for them. Training with these would definitely yield better results than his empty-handed training.
"I should come here to train from now on. There's even a sand pool for weight training. Not bad at all. I can just stay here if it gets too late," William secretly planned for his future training schedule.
Many of the first batch of apprentices in the martial arts school were former fighters from underground boxing gyms. They wanted to further improve their skills, and there's no better place for them than this martial arts school with expert guidance.
However, this training came at a cost. Each person had to pay a monthly fee of a thousand dollars to the martial arts school. And that was already an internal rate. To learn authentic jujitsu from an outsider, it would cost eighteen hundred dollars per month - a steep price indeed.
Despite this, the first day still saw many apprentices who came to register due to the school's reputation. There were even quite a few female students, mostly from prestigious families in New York.
Some came to show support for Antony, while others genuinely wanted their children to learn some jujitsu, especially the girls. With the knowledge of authentic jujitsu, they would be able to handle any bad situations and avoid being bullied.
In the crowd, Aurora suddenly spotted William and couldn't help but approach him.
"Cousin, you're here," Aurora called William her cousin since there were so many people around.
"Aurora, you must be very busy today," William said with a smile. He noticed the beads of sweat on Aurora's fair forehead, a sign of how busy she was.
"The number of registrations exceeded our expectations. Luckily, Boss Jones called for extra help in advance; otherwise, the three of us would have been overwhelmed. Oh, by the way, Mentor will be coming today too. He'll be ecstatic seeing how lively the martial arts school is," Aurora said excitedly. She never expected the martial arts school to receive so many registrations right after opening.
"Really? That's great. I wonder if he'll take in any apprentices," William replied.
William had always wanted Dilma's personal guidance. It would help him improve his boxing skills further and maybe learn faster training methods. His progress had been too slow just exploring and training on his own.
"He hasn't taken in apprentices for many years. It's hard to say if he'll take any," Aurora said, furrowing her brows.
William didn't mind much. As long as Dilma showed up, he would find a way for him to give him pointers.
The crowd at the martial arts school continued to grow, attracting influential figures from other cities as well.
William even encountered a few familiar faces, Kyle and Camden. They were accompanied by a middle-aged man in a blue coat. He had sharp eyes, a prominent nose, and a slender figure. His gaze was piercing, clearly showing his keenness.
Just as a few people coincidentally ran into each other, Kyle and Camden's eyes lit up with anger when they saw William.
"William, we didn’t expect you to be here, we've been searching for you everywhere."
"But were your feet healed so quickly?" William didn't pay much attention to their anger. Instead, he was curious. These two had their feet broken, yet they were able to walk normally in just about a week.
Especially Camden, who had both legs broken, William was curious about which doctor had such incredible medical skills.
"We naturally have ways to quickly recover from these minor injuries, but today it's your turn to have your hands and feet broken." Kyle sneered, his tone carrying a hint of murderous intent.
"Last time we didn't have Octavio with us, which allowed you to get away with it. But this time, we brought Octavio along, so you won't be so lucky." Camden, by his side, also arrogantly taunted. They were oozing confidence this time.
Clearly, Octavio was considered a formidable person in their eyes.
"Octavio?" William furrowed his brows and instinctively shifted his gaze to the middle-aged man with hawk-like eyes and a prominent nose standing behind them.
"Today, you won't be able to run away." Kyle's face twitched, then he turned to Octavio and said, "Octavio, this is the person who broke our legs last time. Today, I seek revenge. Disable him for me."
"It's a small matter. I can disable him within a minute," Octavio confidently replied. Then, his hawk-like eyes turned cold, his hand reached out, and he made a swift grab towards William. The speed was so fast that it didn't allow any time for reaction.
