Chapter 366 Setting Up
After returning to the Ocean Guild, William had all the information organized and called for Fitch. After a few days of treatment, his injuries had almost healed.
"Fitch, tell me about the current situation in Canada." William planned to go to Canada in a few days, but before that, he needed to understand the powers in Canada so that he could act more confidently.
Fitch handed over a thick stack of documents to William and reminded him cautiously, "Master, the situation in Canada is chaotic right now. Many families are scrambling to get in."
"It's okay, just go ahead and tell me," William said as he casually flipped through the documents.
"Currently, all the top ten families in the domestic family ranking have gathered in Canada. Additionally, there are hidden large families lurking among them, and many schools of boxing from various places have sent people there. There are even secret alliances between families. The situation is quite complicated," Fitch explained briefly.
"Do you know why they have all gone to Canada?" William glanced at Fitch and continued to ask. Although William had already gathered a little bit of information from his father, Ocean Guild must have something more to offer.
"This matter has to do with the mineral veins in Canada," Fitch said.
"It wasn't until recently that we confirmed that the vein contains not only gold and silver mines but also various jade stones and more. There are rumors that whoever controls this vein will become the wealthiest person in the world," Fitch explained.
"It seems like this vein is really valuable. By the way, how much do you know about this person, Bruce?" William turned his head and asked.
"Bruce is a student of the Soothsayer Guild. He was the one who discovered this vein, and he is the only one who knows the entrance. Additionally, he periodically transports various minerals from the vein, which has caused a sensation in all of Canada and the surrounding cities," Fitch continued.
William furrowed his brow, realizing that the fortune teller must also be affiliated with the Soothsayer Guild.
"Can you find Bruce's whereabouts?"
"Bruce's whereabouts are elusive, and he himself is a master-level expert. It's almost impossible to find him. However, if we mobilize all our people in Canada, I am fifty percent confident that we can locate him," Fitch reported truthfully.
"Fifty percent? That will do. I'll leave this matter to you then. Get ready and take two master-level experts with you. Start your journey tomorrow. I will join you in Canada in a few days," William said after thinking for a moment.
Heading to Canada will be complicated, as there are three tasks to complete. Therefore, he needs to plan in advance; otherwise, he will be at a disadvantage.
"Understood, master. I will make arrangements immediately and depart for Canada tomorrow," Fitch said obediently.
"Very well. Be careful in your actions," William warned him.
Meanwhile, he carefully studied the information in his hands, which included details about various families and schools of martial arts in Canada. Before heading to Canada, William must commit all of it to memory to ensure his actions there are more effortless.
After making these arrangements, William remembered another important matter. He immediately made a phone call to Ralph and instructed him to send Michelle to King's University for further studies under the pretext of company training.
"Sir, my abilities are not sufficient to recommend Michelle for enrollment," Ralph responded hesitantly.
"It's alright. I have already made the necessary arrangements for her. You just need to inform her on behalf of the company. I will take care of the rest," William replied nonchalantly.
"Very well, sir. I will make the arrangements immediately," Ralph acknowledged before hanging up the phone to handle the matter.
It was late in the night when William finally returned to his cabin. He immediately noticed Michelle sitting at the dining table with a frown on her face. She looked sad.
"What's wrong, Michelle? Did something unpleasant happen?" William asked knowingly.
"The company wants to send me to King's University in Canada for a two-year training program. They promised me the position of vice president upon my return." Michelle sighed and furrowed her brows, feeling a bit gloomy.
"Isn't that good? After two years of training, you'll come back as a vice president, and I can then rely on you wholeheartedly," William said with a smile.
"You can still crack jokes at a time like this. I'm so worried. If I go to Canada, we'll be in a long-distance relationship." Michelle supported her chin with her hand, looking uncertain about what to do. She didn't want to be separated from William.
"Well, then I'll go with you. That way, we won't have to be apart." William expressed his true intention, secretly hoping that Michelle would go to Canada.
"But what about Ocean Guild then? Euler Hill's tourism project seems promising, and as the master, you should be able to earn a good amount of money. If you go to Canada with me, won't you have to start all over again?" Michelle thought that Ocean Guild managed the Euler Hill tourism project, with William being in a position similar to a company CEO.
William found this understanding amusing, but he held back his laughter and said, "What can we do about it? For you, I can give up everything."
William said all the right words. It touched Michelle deeply.
"Well, maybe I won't go to King's University for now. Let's stay here and live a simple life together!" Michelle thought that since William was willing to give up everything to accompany her to Canada for studies, she could also give up everything to accompany William and live a simple life.
"How can you give up such a great opportunity?" William secretly wiped his sweat. He must convince Michelle!
"But..." Michelle wanted to say something, but she was interrupted by William. "But what? Not only do you have to go, but you also have to study hard and graduate with excellent grades."
"Okay!" Seeing William's determination, Michelle could only agree. But she felt guilty toward him. She promised herself that she would make it up to him once they arrived in Canada.
William breathed a sigh of relief. He had successfully convinced Michelle to go to King's University, and the rest would be easy.
