Chapter 245 Dreaming Love
This was something William had prepared specifically for Michelle, fearing the current situation.
Inside the delicate box, there was a shiny red ruby ring, at least 3 carats in size. It was dazzling and eye-catching. It was clearly not an ordinary item.
As soon as the ruby ring appeared, it immediately attracted the attention of all the classmates present. Apart from being amazed, their eyes showed envy and jealousy.
"Is this a ruby ring?" Gabrielle asked with envy and jealousy. She dreamed of owning such a beautiful and magnificent ruby ring.
"A ruby this big must be quite expensive!" Annabelle swallowed her saliva. It was her first time seeing such a large ruby, and her eyes sparkled.
"It's the ring Princess Diana wore, called Dreaming Love, worth around a billion dollars," William said casually. This was a ring Ralph had given him before, and it was convenient to use it now.
"Princess Diana's ring? Can someone like you afford Dreaming Love? It's not some red glass, is it?" Cooper questioned and mocked again. He had heard of Dreaming Love, the world's top ruby ring, but he didn't believe someone like William, a poor man, could possess a real one.
"Whether it's real or fake, let Bella authenticate it," William responded indifferently. He couldn't be bothered to explain them.
Everyone had trust in Bella's expertise, but she was about to have her wedding and must be busy. She wouldn't have time to come and authenticate it for them.
"Let's wait for Bella. When she comes, she can help authenticate it." Gabrielle quickly came up with an effective solution, still feeling jealous in her heart.
"Yeah, when she comes to propose a toast later, we can ask her to have a look. If it's fake..." Annabelle didn't finish her words. When the bride comes over, there will definitely be cameras recording and many people watching. If it is identified as fake, it will be very embarrassing!
"That's a good suggestion," Cooper quickly agreed with the idea as well.
Being identified as fake in front of everyone and on camera would be so awkward, but that's what they wanted to see.
Michelle, on the other hand, frowned. Her classmates were difficult!
"Whether it's a ruby or red glass, as long as it's from William, I like it," Michelle said with a charming smile, turning her head. "William, put it on for me!"
"Okay." William nodded and put the Dreaming Love ring on Michelle's hand. The dazzling red gemstone matched her delicate hand perfectly. In William's mind, only Michelle was worthy of this Dreaming Love ring.
"It looks beautiful!" Michelle loved this ring. If William had proposed to her on one knee with this ring, she would have been happier! Even if it was just a red glass ring, she would still be happy.
Saying that, Michelle even kissed William's face in front of so many people, just to show them that she was doing well and it had nothing to do with material possessions.
Cooper was getting angrier as he watched. He decided that when Bella came over, he would make William embarrassed in front of everyone. Then Michelle would realize William was just a smooth-talking poor man who wasn't worthy of being her boyfriend.
The other classmates quickly changed the topic temporarily, waiting for Bella to come and identify this ruby ring. They believed a ruby ring worth a billion dollars couldn't be real.
The wedding soon began, and the girls looked enviously at Bella, getting married to the groom. Michelle was also envious. The girls were all unmarried, so they longed for weddings.
Meanwhile, Sharon and Hunter were conducting a carpet search of the Graham family mansion and the Graham Group, following William's orders.
Sharon held a small knife in each hand and wore a black skintight suit. To avoid being recognized, she covered her face with a black cloth, only revealing her eyes. Even if she was captured on surveillance, they wouldn't be able to identify her.
The Graham family mansion was built in the suburbs of the East district. It was very large, with an area of nearly 1,000 square meters, and also had a basement and a secret room. The scale of construction was immense.
Due to the wedding, there were hardly any people in the mansion. They were all at the hotel having dinner. However, there were still quite a few security guards.
Sharon successfully crawled into the mansion through a dog hole, following the hand-drawn map provided by Riley.
No one seemed to be alarmed.
"There are quite a few cameras here." Sharon glanced at the surrounding cameras around the mansion and furrowed her brows slightly.
She took out her phone and carefully examined the hand-drawn map, which indicated the camera locations. This gave her the opportunity to avoid them.
"Got the blind spots! The hiding places could possibly be the basement and a few secret rooms. Other areas shouldn't have any." Sharon quickly determined the locations she wanted to explore.
She put away her phone and started to move swiftly.
She moved quickly along the wall, and when she encountered patrolling security guards, she silently approached and knocked them out with a punch. Then she dragged them into an unattended corner, tied them up, and gagged them.
Sharon was extremely agile. After knocking out several security guards, she managed to sneak into the mansion's basement without anyone noticing her. However, a large black iron door barred her way.
"Oh no, it's a password lock. We need the password to enter."
Sharon didn't dare to randomly try the lock, fearing it might trigger an alarm. She reluctantly took a photo of the lock and sent it to William, informing him that she couldn't enter the basement.
At the wedding banquet, William received the photo of the password lock that Sharon had sent and furrowed his brow. "It looks like we need a professional locksmith to help Sharon, otherwise she won't be able to enter the basement."
William glanced at the stage. The wedding ceremony was still going on, and the Graham family members were still at the hotel. There should be enough time. He immediately forwarded the photo of the password lock to Ralph, instructing him to find someone who could unlock this type of lock within an hour and bring them to the Graham family mansion.
Ralph had extensive connections on Long Island, so asking him for this kind of person was definitely the right choice.
After arranging everything, William still felt a bit uneasy and asked Riley to go back and bring the locksmith inside.
He also sent Baca and twenty skilled individuals to assist Sharon. In case of any danger, they could help Sharon escape as quickly as possible.
"After going through all this trouble, I hope there will be something to gain in the end." William could only rely on fate now.
He hoped it would bring him a pleasant surprise.
There were many ceremonies at the wedding, and this fulfilled William's wish. The longer it dragged on, the better.
The people at William's table were already full from the food and couldn't eat anymore. They were now waiting for Bella to arrive.
"Why hasn't Bella come to our table yet?" Gabrielle was getting impatient. It wasn't just about toasting. She was more concerned about having Bella appraise the ruby ring.
The others at the table were also anxious, as if waiting for the ending of a TV show. They soon saw Bella coming there with the groom.
"There she is!" Annabelle exclaimed loudly when she saw Bella approaching, capturing the attention of everyone present. Cooper's face displayed a hint of excitement. He was relieved that she had finally arrived.
After some pleasantries and teasing, Gabrielle said to Bella, "Bella, Michelle's boyfriend just gave her a ruby ring the size of a pigeon egg. Could you take a look and tell us its value? We'd love to envy her."
Gabrielle's phrasing was quite clever, not mentioning the authenticity but hinting at it.
"That's right, Bella. Take a look. We've never seen such a ruby ring before," Annabelle chimed in on the side.
The other classmates shared similar sentiments, all waiting for the final verdict.
"Really? A ruby ring? Well, then I must see it for myself," Bella replied eagerly. Rubies were already rare, let alone a pigeon egg-sized ruby ring - it had to be extraordinary!
"Michelle, let your friends envy you a little," Bella said as she turned to Michelle.
Michelle felt a bit worried. She was afraid the ruby ring would be proven fake in the end, causing William embarrassment. But William calmly said, "Let her take a look."
Seeing William's agreement, Michelle reluctantly took off her Dreaming Love and handed it to Bella.
Bella carefully examined the ring. Suddenly, her expression changed, and the people present couldn't help but feel a sense of tension.
