Chapter 150 The Truth
William finally got the answer he had been seeking from Bund. The mastermind behind the destruction of Katharine's project was indeed Edward.
That evening, after returning to the villa, William called Katharine. When she heard that it was Edward behind it all, she was furious because Edward was Hannah's husband. Undoubtedly, Hannah was the one pulling all the strings.
William's earlier suspicion was confirmed. Hannah was the one who orchestrated the sabotage of the West district construction project.
The next morning, William was invited to Katharine's house for a meal. She wanted to discuss how to expose Hannah.
"William, where is Bund?" Katharine asked in a slightly anxious tone when she saw that William came alone. They had caught her older sister with evidence, and they couldn't easily let her go.
"He's being held by me. When we need him, I will send someone to bring him over," William calmly replied. Many people were looking for Bund, and they couldn't just let him out casually. It would be troublesome if something happened.
"William, I really have to thank you this time! If it weren't for you, I would still be kept in the dark. It seems like Hannah has a grudge against me," Katharine sincerely thanked William.
Hannah had repeatedly sabotaged her projects, and Katharine couldn't tolerate it anymore.
"It's alright, aunt. Didn't I say it before? I'll take care of this matter. Later, I will have someone bring Bund here. As for how you want to expose Hannah, it's up to you. But after that, I want Bund back. He's worth a lot of money," William said with a smile as he handed Katharine Levi's phone number. She could use it when she needed evidence.
"Don't worry, William. After everything is done, I will definitely express my gratitude to you." Katharine was truly thankful to William this time.
"Mom, I told you William is amazing! You used to dislike him." Michelle walked over and affectionately held William's arm, looking proud.
"Yes, your judgment is good!" Katharine said.
"Michelle, spend some time with William and convince him to stay for dinner. I need to make a quick visit to the company," Katharine said, already planning to expose Hannah's misconduct.
After uttering those words, Katharine headed to the company while William called Levi, instructing him to personally escort Bund to James's company as a witness.
Upon arriving at the company, Katharine immediately sought out her father, James, to convene a board meeting and invite her two sisters as well, with the intention of exposing Hannah's ugly secret.
Tension filled the VIP conference room. Everyone hesitated to speak due to the severity of Katharine's accusations. Even the chairman, James, remained silent with a furrowed brow. In contrast, Hannah pointed her finger at Katharine and shouted in anger.
"Katharine, do you have any evidence to support your claim that I conspired to sabotage your project?"
Hannah displayed a triumphant attitude. Bund was a member of the Bell family. He was known for his meticulousness. No one dared to touch him, which meant there was no way to implicate Hannah. Therefore, when faced with Katharine's interrogation, Hannah was unafraid.
"Yes, Katharine, this matter is of great significance. Accusing someone of colluding with an outsider to ruin your project should not be done without solid evidence," Chairman James finally spoke, unable to believe that his eldest daughter would stoop so low.
"The truth will soon come to light. I have brought a key witness." Katharine coldly glanced at her eldest sister, determined to expose the dirty deeds she had done to everyone's knowledge.
"If you have the ability, show us the evidence," Hannah retorted, refusing to believe that Katharine could capture Bund. In her eyes, Katherine was not capable of such a feat.
"Just you wait!" Katharine smirked and immediately called Levi. Soon, Levi entered the room carrying a sack on his shoulder.
Several people in the room recognized Levi, and upon seeing him, they all gasped in unison.
"Isn't that Levi? What is he carrying on his shoulder?"
A few shareholders recognized him, and even James knew who Levi was.
"And who might this be?" James, despite his age and position, stood up to welcome him. He did not dare to show any neglect. After all, Levi had quite a reputation.
"Sorry for the intrusion. I bring news," Levi said calmly, and the room fell silent, awaiting his revelation.
Levi placed the sack down and quickly untied it to reveal Bund, who had his hands and feet bound, but still wore a mask.
"This is Bund. He was hired by someone to cause trouble and sabotage the construction site in the West District," Levi said. As soon as he finished speaking, Hannah's face changed drastically. She never expected Levi to actually catch Bund and bring him here. It was quite shocking to her.
However, she was also curious as to why Levi would listen to Katharine.
"What? Who hired you?" James suddenly became angry. He might not trust Katharine, but he believed Levi's words. He was a trustworthy person.
Bund had already been trained by Levi. Right now, he was too scared to care about client confidentiality. He quickly replied, "It was someone named Edward who hired me to sabotage the construction site in the West District. He gave me five million dollars to steal and sell construction materials and cause trouble."
As soon as this was said, most of the shareholders present turned their gaze to Hannah. They all knew that Edward was Hannah's husband.
Katharine was excited and relieved at this moment. The truth had finally come out. She pointed at Hannah and said loudly, "Now you have nothing to say!"
"Hannah, explain this situation to me!" James roared, slamming the table. He never expected his eldest daughter to do something so damaging to their reputation.
"Dad, this person is wearing a mask. Who knows who he really is? What if Katharine and this person conspired to frame me?" Hannah tried to defend herself, but she was terrified deep down.
"Nonsense!"
"Alright, I have shown you this person. I'm taking him away now," Levi said without caring about the internal affairs of their company. Mr. Brown had ordered him to bring Bund back after the identification was done. After all, they still needed him for the transaction in the North District tomorrow.
Saying this, Levi, under the gaze of the crowd, tied the sack again and left!
After Levi left, everyone's eyes fell on Hannah.
"Dad, please don't believe that person's words. I am innocent. It's Katharine who wants to frame me!" Hannah suddenly started pleading with tears in her eyes.
"Are you still trying to argue? From today onwards, Hannah is relieved from the position of Vice President. Go home and rest!" James had never imagined that his two daughters would fight and frame each other. He was mentally exhausted.
As soon as the words fell, Hannah's face turned pale and weak. She collapsed to the ground. This time, she was completely defeated by Katharine.
Katharine finally breathed a sigh of relief and fired Hannah, allowing her to smoothly take over the company.
"William is really something. Not only can he catch the Bell family's people, but he can also instruct Levi." Katharine was becoming more and more puzzled by William. She felt that there were too many mysteries surrounding him. Even the accomplishments she had now were all given by William.
