Chapter 211 Pretend to be my boyfriend
Fiona had been troubled for the past few days. Previously, William was busy dealing with the Watson family affairs and didn't pay much attention to her. Unexpectedly, when they hadn't seen each other for a few days, a major incident occurred to her.
Luckily, William learned about her troubles in time through the internet. Otherwise, he wouldn't know how to explain it to his fiancée, Sophia. After all, before she left, she entrusted Fiona to his care.
"In the morning, William prepared a delicious plate of layered noodles, which he hadn't cooked for Kayla and Fiona in a long time!
"Smells amazing. With William around, life is bliss," Kayla said, wearing a red fitted skirt and delicate makeup as she descended the stairs with her dazzling long legs.
"What about Fiona?" William asked instinctively.
"She's still asleep, I suppose! She must have stayed up late again with her late-night broadcasts, working harder than me," Kayla said, quickly sitting down and serving herself a bowl of layered noodles. She blew on the steaming hot soup and took small bites.
"Delicious. It's such a joy to be able to eat the food you cook, William!" Kayla praised and enjoyed her meal.
William smiled and served himself a bowl, hungrily eating.
Halfway through their meal, Fiona hurriedly came downstairs. Today, she had dressed up exceptionally, wearing a white chiffon dress, lipstick, and even high heels. She had straightened her long black hair, giving her a more graceful appearance.
William and Kayla were left speechless, amazed at Fiona's sudden transformation into such a sophisticated lady!
"Oh my, Fiona, are you going on a blind date?" Kayla couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
"I'm meeting someone I met online. Do I look more ladylike than usual with this look?" Fiona twirled around in place, seeking William and Kayla's approval.
"Meeting someone you met online? Are you in an online relationship?" Kayla suddenly brightened up and curiously asked.
"No, I'm meeting the wealthy fan from my live stream room. The one who donated several million US dollars to me," Fiona replied instinctively.
"The one who donated millions of dollars to you? That must be true love then. Good luck!" Kayla encouraged her.
Fiona smiled lightly, looking forward to meeting the person who had generously donated millions of dollars to her. Most importantly, this gentleman claimed he could bring investments to her father's company, which had inspired Fiona to make up her mind to meet him.
William couldn't believe Fiona went through all this effort to meet someone. He couldn't resist teasing her, saying, "You're deceiving him by dressing like a sophisticated lady!"
"It's not like I'm meeting you. Mind your own business," Fiona retorted, glancing at William with her sparkling eyes, her tone cold.
William sighed, knowing she was a crazy girl who insisted on dressing like a lady. He wondered what was going on in her mind.
But if Fiona knew that William was the person she was going to meet, he had no idea how she would feel.
Soon, Kayla and Fiona left the house one after the other.
Before meeting up, William first went to the Crown Villa to change his clothes and car. The Rolls-Royce Phantom he bought earlier had been sitting unused at his villa, and now it finally came in handy. Fiona recognized his Ferrari, so this time William had to drive the Rolls-Royce she didn't know.
In addition, William asked Wendy to prepare a set of precious and stylish black windbreaker for him. Finally, he found a black mask to wear, making him look cool in all black!
After changing, William drove the Rolls-Royce to the agreed location.
The Rolls-Royce was a luxury car worth over twenty million dollars, and it attracted a lot of attention along the way, especially from girls.
When they were close to the destination, William spotted Fiona in a white chiffon dress. She was waiting alone by the roadside, occasionally looking around anxiously.
"It's like meeting someone from the internet," William couldn't help feeling emotional. He drove the car directly to her and stopped in front of her.
Then, looking handsome, he stepped out of the car, holding a rose in his hand. It was prepared by Wendy and was the token they agreed upon to avoid mistaking each other.
There were many people around, especially young people. Seeing William in the cool Rolls-Royce, he immediately caught the eyes of many girls. The black windbreaker and mask added to his coolness.
Even Fiona was stunned. She never expected her number one fan to show up in such a cool way, wearing a black mask that piqued her curiosity.
"You...you're 'Raining', right?" Fiona asked weakly.
"Yes, this rose is for you," William deliberately muffled his voice in his throat as he spoke, making it sound different from usual.
"Can I see your face?" Fiona was still curious about the face behind the mask. She was quite fond of this cool style.
"When the time is right, I'll let you see. It's not the right time yet!" William smiled lightly. He didn't want Fiona to know that he was the one helping her.
"Okay!" Fiona nodded helplessly and then introduced herself again, "I'm Fiona, what's your name?"
"Just call me Raining!" William thought that after meeting Fiona this time, they might never see each other again, so the name didn't matter. It was just a temporary identity.
"Alright," Fiona couldn't help but smile.
"Let's sit down and talk! There are too many people here." Fiona thought of sitting down and discussing the matter of investing in her father's company, which was one of the important reasons she had invited him out today.
William nodded. It was indeed too crowded outside.
After adding more, there were many people surrounding him now, and it seemed that his outfit was indeed a bit too eye-catching today.
After finding a nearby restaurant, William knew that Fiona liked to drink cappuccino, so he ordered her a cup of cappuccino and many snacks that she liked, such as mashed potatoes and cheese bread.
"All my favorite foods! How did you know that I love to eat these?" Fiona said happily and curiously.
"Because I also love to eat these!" William casually came up with an excuse.
The two chatted for a while, and Fiona realized that this person's words always touched her heart, which made her have more and more affection for Raining.
William knew Fiona's habits and temper, so naturally, his words were pleasing to Fiona's ears.
"By the way, can you really invest in my father's company? That's five billion US dollars?" After chatting for a while, Fiona finally brought up the topic she cared about most, which was investment.
"No problem." William said, taking out a black card from his pocket. This was William's exclusive business card from WE ARE Chamber. It didn't have a name or position on it, just a well-made card.
But inside, it had a blue anti-counterfeiting design, customized by Antony for William. Looking at this black card was like seeing William himself.
William handed the black card to Fiona and said, "You let your father take this black card to the Power Group and find Antony. He will handle the specific investment matters."
Curiously, Fiona took the black card and looked at it carefully. It was just an ordinary-looking black card with only "WE ARE Chamber" written on it, without any other information.
"Can this black card really bring in five billion US dollars?" Fiona couldn't believe it.
"Of course. If you don't believe it, you can let your father give it a try. With this investment, you won't have to sacrifice yourself and marry into the Turner family. You can do what you want to do." William said casually.
"Okay, then I'll let my father give it a try!" Fiona carefully put the black card into her bag. She was about to ask William why he was helping her like this when her phone rang.
Fiona glanced at the caller ID, and her face suddenly turned sour. She then looked at William and made a request.
"Raining, can you pretend to be my boyfriend later? I want you to help me get rid of someone."
"Pretend to be your boyfriend??" William was suddenly confused. This plot seemed to be going off track.
"Yeah, just help me hold him off, the Turner family's son, Jasper..."
Fiona looked a bit unhappy. "He's a distant relative of my family in Long Island, but he's been pestering me since I was young. Recently, he even tries to force me into marriage under the guise of investment," she said.
William nodded with understanding and replied, "Alright then! But let's make it clear, just this one time." William had no intention of playing along for real.
With William's agreement, Fiona finally answered the phone and provided him with an address.
Upon receiving the address, Jasper hurried over. He had followed his parents to New York this time to invest, but his real intention was to seize the opportunity to meet Fiona. He had heard about Fiona's arrival in New York beforehand.
Jasper had liked Fiona since childhood, but she had never paid much attention to him. Now that Fiona's family company was facing a significant financial problem, Jasper begged his father to marry Fiona under the pretext of investment.
Even though Fiona's father knew she disliked Jasper, he had to sacrifice his daughter to save the company from going bankrupt.
Initially, Fiona had resigned herself to the situation and planned to return to Long Island after fulfilling her dream of becoming a star this month and marry the person she didn't like. However, the appearance of her number one fan seemed to change everything.
