Chapter 275 I Will Make Him Apologize in Person
Lillian had been waiting for William at the community's running track early in the morning, with many questions in her mind.
Seeing William run toward her with weights, she quickly approached him and asked, "William, thank you for helping me capture Larry last night, but I don't understand why you saved him. I want to kill him and avenge my father and brother!"
Lillian's eyes were filled with intense hatred.
"Do you want true revenge? Do you want to reclaim your father's assets?" William didn't answer her question directly.
Larry still had his uses; he couldn't be killed for the time being.
"Yes, I dream about it every day. I've been training hard just for this day," Lillian gritted her teeth and replied, her face burning with fury.
"If you want revenge, I can help you. But I want 70% of your family's assets," William said calmly. He could assist Lillian, but he wouldn't do it for free. He had no personal relationship with Lillian, so he wouldn't waste his efforts to help her.
"Alright, I agree. If you help me kill them, I'm willing to give you 80% of our family's assets and obey all your commands," Lillian didn't hesitate and agreed quickly. She knew she couldn't confront Mr. Davis on her own, and she couldn't even scheme against someone like Pablo.
William was somewhat surprised by Lillian's agreement. She was even willing to give him 80% of her assets!
It took tremendous determination to make such a decision, showing that she was willing to sacrifice everything for this revenge.
"Great! I'll help you get your revenge. But you have to listen to me. Don't act on your own. I'm keeping Larry because he's still useful. I will use him to lure Mr. Davis out, so just follow my plan," William said with a serious expression.
"Okay, I'll listen to you," Lillian affirmed firmly.
Recently, Julia's family had gotten into some trouble. Oscar's company had offended Raymond in business, so Raymond had demanded $50 million as compensation. He also threatened to kidnap Oscar's family if he failed to compensate him.
So these days, Oscar was worried and troubled, constantly consumed by anxiety. Raymond's words had caused him great distress.
However, Raymond, the leader of the Gray Zone in the East district, often engaged in shady activities but always managed to escape unscathed.
Oscar tried to find someone to resolve the issue, but nobody in the East district dared to provoke Raymond, as he had the support of Mr. Davis.
"Dad, why don't we go somewhere else and hide for a few days?" Julia asked anxiously.
"We have no other choice. Based on the current situation, there's no way we can come up with 50 million dollars. I can only let you all hide somewhere else. I'm sorry for dragging you into this," Oscar said helplessly, sitting on the couch.
As the head of the family, it felt really miserable to ask his wife and daughter to live in hiding.
"Then let's pack our bags and go to New York. We will seek refuge with my friend, Katharine. We can stay there for a while, and it's also a good opportunity for Michelle to visit her parents," Linda, Julia's mother, suggested, feeling frightened.
Michelle was worried about Julia and her family. But William was still on Long Island, and she didn't want to be separated from him.
She said, "How about we ask William for help? He should be able to resolve this."
In Michelle's eyes, William was capable of anything. Every time they encountered difficulties, William was able to find a solution. This made her believe that William could handle anything. However, her blind admiration was seen as naive and childish by others.
"Michelle, can your boyfriend really help us? Do you not understand Raymond's influence? Even the prominent families on Long Island do not dare to offend him. What can William do?" Linda was the first to speak, with an air of disdain.
"Yeah, Michelle, whether we think highly of William or not has nothing to do with this situation. He managed to attract Boss Jones's attention, which means he has some talent. But we can't afford to offend Raymond again. He's capable of anything," Oscar explained earnestly.
"And this time, Julia and her mom can stay at your place temporarily until things settle down. Once it's over, I'll go get them back. It would be a great help if you could take care of them in the meantime."
"Alright!" Michelle agreed, but in her heart, she still couldn't let go of William.
"Michelle, I'm sorry for dragging you into this," Julia apologized, with a guilty expression.
"It's okay. Let's start packing our luggage. I'll go upstairs for a moment." Michelle had something on her mind. She went straight to her room and called William.
Meanwhile, William was in the villa's community, engaged in weight training with Lillian. Both of them were covered in sweat, indicating how tough their workout was.
Suddenly, William's phone rang. Seeing that it was Michelle calling, he answered quickly.
"William, it seems like Julia's dad offended someone, someone powerful. He wants us to go to New York immediately. Can you help him?" Michelle's voice sounded desperate over the phone.
"Powerful? Who is that?" William frowned, feeling displeased.
"It's Raymond from the East district. I heard Mr. Davis is helping him, and they said they'll have someone kidnap us," Michelle replied, feeling frightened.
"Mr. Davis?" William thought for a while and said, "Alright, I understood the situation! You all stay home. There's no need to leave or hide."
"Really?" Michelle exclaimed, both shocked and relieved.
"Yes, I'll make him come and apologize to them." William smirked slightly, already having an idea in mind.
After hanging up the phone, William turned to Lillian and asked, "Lillian, do you know Raymond?"
"He used to be my dad's subordinate, just like Larry. He also seized many of our industries," Lillian said, gritting her teeth.
"That's great. We have an opportunity now!" William smiled slightly. The leverage they just obtained with Larry could be used immediately, and they could even lure another person into the trap.
