Chapter 234 Perhaps It's Worth Considering

The bald man grew increasingly frustrated when he saw William standing guard outside the secret room, refusing to leave.

"Since you're asking for it, don't blame me for not being polite," the bald man said, signaling to his four subordinates. They immediately wielded their long knives and approached William, ready to strike.

These were real knives, sharp and dangerous. If one were struck, the injuries would be severe.

Michelle had long been overwhelmed by fear. William protected her and made her hide behind him. Then he took a step forward.

William wanted to test his current strength and see how far he had progressed.

Facing the attack of four long knives, William calmly dodged the attack of the person in front. Then, with a swift kick, he struck the person's chest, sending him flying several meters away.

Seeing this, the bald man furrowed his brows.

"This man is quite powerful. No wonder he remained so composed."

After kicking one person away, only three remained, all wielding their knives and continuing to attack William. However, these three were mere street thugs without much strength, so their attacks were mechanical. William, whose potential had been awakened, moved quickly. In his eyes, their speed was slow, allowing him to easily dodge their strikes. Finding an opening, he threw a punch and knocked out one of the thugs.

In the end, only two were left. Within a few breaths, William quickly disposed of the two opponents.

In a four-against-one battle, William swiftly resolved the fight in less than five minutes. Not only did it astonish the bald man, but even his subordinates standing behind him were also visibly shocked.

"This guy is not ordinary. It seems I have to take action now," said the bald man as he tightly gripped his long knife and advanced toward William to strike.

Indeed, this bald man's speed was much faster than the four ruffians before, but in William's eyes, it was still slow.

"I will kill you!" As they approached each other, the bald man raised his long knife and swung it toward William. However, the latter calmly shifted his steps, easily evading the attack.

Immediately, William threw a punch, landing it squarely on the bald man's chest. He was sent back a few steps by the tremendous force but managed to remain standing.

This left William slightly surprised.

"You have good body defense," William remarked nonchalantly.

The bald man, Salvador, was also astonished. He was known for being tough, and even the strongest blows wouldn't faze him. Yet this person in front of him had sent him retreating with just one punch, causing a lingering pain in his chest. Clearly, this power was substantial.

"I didn't expect you to possess such strength. Not bad. Join us, and I promise you won't be treated unfairly," Salvador suggested, wanting to recruit William for his boss, Pablo. The situation in the East district was chaotic, and if they could enlist this skilled martial artist for Pablo's gang, it would undoubtedly enhance their strength.

However, William had no interest in this proposition whatsoever.

"If you let me be your boss, maybe I'll consider it," William responded calmly. Being the heir of a top-tier family, it would be a joke for him to work as a subordinate for someone else.

"You bastard, you speak too arrogantly!" Salvador tightened his grip on the long knife and once again lunged toward William. This time, his speed and strength had improved compared to before, indicating that the previous attack was merely a probe.

However, even with his increased speed, William still perceived him as slow.

Continuously evading his attacks, William suddenly lowered his body and swiftly swept his leg in a ground-hugging sweep, directly toppling the bald man.

Taking advantage of his fallen state, William took a big step forward and placed his foot on Salvador's wrist, causing him to scream in pain.

Seizing the opportunity, William grabbed the knife from his hand and pressed it against his neck. "Do you still want to continue? You are no match for me."

William's immense momentum made Salvador's underlings take a step back in fear. Moreover, their leader was currently under William's foot, with a knife threatening him.

"You bastard! Don't get too arrogant. MA club is entirely ours today. If you want to walk away unscathed, give up now," Salvador, being pinned down, threatened amidst his agony.

"Is that so?" William stepped harder, causing the bald man underneath to cry out in pain again.

The black-clad woman hiding in the private room heard the cries and conversation, secretly impressed, and said to Julia, "I didn't expect your friend to be so skilled. He's actually stepping on Salvador like that! Unfortunately, MA Club is filled with Pablo's people today. Even if we deal with Salvador, we can't escape from more than a hundred of Pablo's men."

Hearing that there were over a hundred people in the MA Club, Julia's face turned even paler with fright.

"You're saying there are over a hundred people in the MA Club?!!"

"Yes, if it weren't for being betrayed by someone I trusted, I wouldn't have ended up in this situation. Instead of seeking revenge, I might die here," the black-clad woman said, gritting her teeth.

As she said, there were indeed over a hundred people in the MA Club, all of them Pablo's subordinates. Previously, they split up and chased after the black-clad woman's other helpers, while Salvador chased the black-clad woman until here.

Shortly after Salvador was stepped on by William, Pablo arrived with a large group of followers.

The VIP room was instantly filled with people. From the crowd emerged a composed middle-aged man, with a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth. He was dressed in a black leather jacket and had a trench coat draped over it, looking quite stylish.

"How useless can you be, being stepped on by a nobody?" Pablo couldn't resist complaining after taking a puff of his cigarette.

"This person is too powerful! I really can't do anything to him. Help me! That woman is hiding in the secret room of this private room!" Salvador called for help when he saw Pablo.

"You're still somewhat useful." Pablo blew out a smoke ring and took a step forward. He looked quite arrogant as he addressed William.

"Bastard, since you have some skills, why don't you join me? Six-figure salary, luxury cars, beautiful women, and houses, I can give you all of them. What do you think?" Pablo saw that William was able to step on Salvador, indicating that he had good abilities, so he had the idea of recruiting him.

"Sorry, I'm not interested in being your subordinate." William raised the corner of his mouth and took out his phone. He secretly sent a message to Ralph, saying that he encountered trouble at the Sullivan Family's MA Club, and asked him to find someone to resolve it quickly.

In the current situation, they could only rely on Ralph to resolve the crisis. As for his phone number, William had already saved it from his business card into his phone earlier, and it was convenient to use it now.

"You think you can be my boss? Isn't that too arrogant?" Pablo extinguished the cigarette in his mouth and threw it hard onto the ground. "I wanted to recruit you because I thought highly of you. Since you don't know how to appreciate it, don't blame me for killing you."

With that, Pablo waved his hand and dozens of subordinates rushed toward William.

"Don't come any closer. If you take one more step, I'll kill him." William brought the knife closer to Salvador's neck, his tone carrying a hint of threat.

"Dare to threaten me? Salvador, then you're dead. I will take care of your family and provide them with substantial compensation," Pablo said loudly to Salvador, fearlessly responding to William's threat.

"Thank you." Salvador, having already prepared to meet his death, looked at William with eyes burning red. "Bastard! Come on, slash my neck!"

William was slightly surprised. These guys were really ruthless!

Seeing dozens of hooligans surrounding him, William furrowed his brows. This situation wasn't favorable; he could only wait for Ralph to come save him.

"Idiot, you're naive if you think you can challenge Pablo," Pablo sneered coldly.

Meanwhile, the black-clad woman hiding in the secret room felt her hope fade away as well. She knew Pablo had brought a large group of subordinates with him. No matter how skilled the person outside was, he wouldn't be able to overpower them. The best outcome would be for him to submit to Pablo in order to save his life, leaving her with no way out.

However, she underestimated William. He was no ordinary bastard.

Just as William was about to be surrounded by the subordinates, the general manager of the MA club rushed into the VIP room with a phone in hand.

"Don't act, don't act!" His voice came before he arrived.

Upon hearing the voice, Pablo ordered his subordinates to make way, allowing the manager to hurriedly run to him.

"What's the matter? Didn't I tell you not to disturb me when I handle things?" Pablo asked impatiently.

"It's not me. It's our chairman, Ralph, calling for you."

"Oh? Ralph?" Hearing Ralph's name, Pablo's expression became more serious. Why would he call him at this time?

Both the underworld and legitimate circles had many people who depended on the Sullivan family, so Ralph was not someone Pablo could afford to offend.

After taking the phone, he listened for a while and his face immediately changed color.
