Chapter 402 The Real Show Has Just Begun
Since William had treated Kevin as a puppet of the Campbell family, he had been idle all day. Now, all the people around him had been replaced by members of the Ocean Guild, and Grandmaster-level expert Kaiser was inseparable from him.
On this day, Kevin was sunbathing alone in the pool of his own villa when one of his servants came running to report.
"Master wants you to go see him. He said there's something important to discuss with you."
"Why would he suddenly think of finding me, a useless person, to discuss things?" Kevin replied with self-mockery.
Their father always favored Colin and considered him the heir to the group. Any important matters were always only discussed with his older brother. Why did he suddenly think of him today?
"I don't know. He seems quite urgent," the servant replied with a solemn expression.
"Oh? Is that so?" Kevin suddenly sat up, a hint of suspicion appearing on his chubby face. "Could it be that William has started making his move?"
With that thought in mind, Kevin quickly changed his clothes and drove to Master's mansion.
Meanwhile, a confused Ismael sat on the couch with his brow furrowed, reflecting on the incredulous events that were unfolding around him.
"Dad, what does this Flood Boxing Guild mean? We brought so many gifts, and they actually refused to see us, insisting on my useless brother to go instead," Colin said angrily. He had always been superior to Kevin, but it seemed that in this matter, this useless brother was going to surpass him.
"Let's talk once Kevin arrives," Ismael said, considering countless possibilities but still unable to anticipate that his own son would be involved with Neil.
As they were discussing, Kevin hastily arrived in front of Ismael.
"Dad, you called for me? What's the matter?" Kevin asked, gasping for breath.
Before coming, he had just received William's instructions, stating that the Flood Boxing Guild would fully support him in the internal struggle of the Campbell family. So, when faced with Master's summons, Kevin was already mentally prepared.
"You have a connection with the Flood Boxing Guild now," Ismael said, his voice trailing off.
What is Neil's relationship with Flood Boxing Guild? Master's question was indeed related to the Flood Boxing Guild. Kevin gave Master the prepared explanation. "He's a friend I met while drinking," "You mean you met Neil at the club?" Ismael asked sharply, as if trying to see through him.
"Yes, that's right," Kevin, although nervous, managed to stay calm. "Kevin, I didn't expect you to have such ability, actually befriending Neil," Colin's gaze was cold, but internally he was beginning to panic. Kevin's sudden connection with Neil would quickly elevate his status within the family, adding another variable to his inheritance of the family business.
"It's just because we share common interests! Why are you suddenly asking about this?" Kevin feigned ignorance. "Nothing to be concerned about. Later you'll come with me to the Flood Boxing Guild's base in Canada and discuss the alliance and cooperation with them," Ismael advised. "Okay, no problem!" Kevin agreed still feigning ignorance, successfully hiding his excitement from them.
"I think it's time to temporarily appoint you as the Vice General Manager of the company! It's good to have a position when discussing business," Ismael decided to promote his son. Kevin was overjoyed. He didn't expect to become the Vice General Manager all of a sudden, and he began to hold an even greater respect for William.
On the other hand, Colin, although he couldn't argue with his father's decision, his eyes revealed a hint of coldness. A rift had already formed between the two brothers, which was exactly what William wanted.
Meanwhile, William had already returned to his mansion in Peace Garden. Delilah pestered him every day, becoming annoying, so he found an excuse to escape. "Home is still comfortable." William just lay down on the couch when he received a message from Kevin, saying that he had been temporarily appointed as the Vice General Manager of the company and formed an alliance with the Flood Boxing Guild.
"Not bad, not bad. The real exciting show is about to begin," William's lips curled up slightly, and he immediately called his assistant, Vivian. "William, is it true that the Flood Boxing Guild has absorbed Das Guild?" Vivian sat down on the couch opposite William.
"Hmm, it's true. Das Guild no longer exists, replaced by the Flood Boxing Guild. In addition, I have made it so that the Flood Boxing Guild officially supports Kevin. He is now an active member of the Campbell family."
"Vice General Manager," William said lightly, as if it were just a small matter.
Even though it was both surprising and truly horrifying to learn that within a few days, the century-old Das Guild disappeared. Vivian secretly admired William's cunning.
Originally, her plan was to win over Das Guild through the BN Group, but William eradicated Das Guild and then teamed up with and even strengthened the Flood Boxing Guild. This strategy was beyond her expectations.
But judging from the results, William's approach was indeed better.
"Sir, what is your next plan?" Vivian asked. The first step of trapping the Campbell family was complete, and now it was time for the second step.
"You tell me your plan, let's see if we are thinking along the same lines," William said with a slightly raised corner of his mouth, looking at her with interest.
"I do have a rough idea," Vivian thought for a moment and continued, "I think the next step is to have Mr. Baker from the BN Group take action. Let him unite with other forces to launch an attack on the Campbell family's industries, causing trouble and inconvenience for them."
"Go on!" William encouraged her, nodding in approval of her suggestion.
"With internal troubles and external threats, Colin, the general manager, will definitely have a hard time, and the shareholders will certainly have opinions. If at this time, Kevin stands up and claims that he can perfectly resolve the siege from the BN Group, Kevin's prestige will completely overshadow Colin."
Vivian paused and continued excitedly, "At that time, Kevin and I can put on a show together. Once Kevin's prestige is high enough, we can kick Colin off the stage."
"Not bad, not bad, your plan aligns with mine. However, for this second step, it's not enough to rely solely on the BN Group's plot against the Campbell family. We need to unite more families to besiege the Campbell family's industries, only then can we push the Campbell family's board of directors into a corner."
William raised an eyebrow slightly.
"The real show is just beginning!"
