Chapter 14 Class Reunion

Most of William's college classmates had arrived at the Sunshine Hotel by now. There were nearly thirty people in total, with an equal number of males and females, all dressed up and looking glamorous.

Richard had organized this event, but his main goal was to see Michelle, who had returned from overseas. In fact, most of the male students wanted to see her.

The reunion was held at a buffet, and Richard had personally covered the cost of reserving the event hall in Zone C of the Sunshine Hotel. The food expenses were divided among the attendees, amounting to at least five hundred dollars per person.

This party was very well organized, and had everything from red wine to seafood, cakes, fruits, and BBQ. It was a very nice buffet gathering.

Madison was enthusiastically introducing her new boyfriend, Daniel, to her former female classmates, which caused waves of admiration from them. Madison couldn't be happier.

"Wow, he’s the heir of the Good Group, he's definitely a rich second-generation man. You're really lucky, Madison." Her female classmates were jealous. Although the Good Group was considered a second-tier company in New York, its market value was over ten billion dollars, and Daniel himself drove luxurious cars and lived in a villa. Many girls would want to date someone like him.

"Hello, you can come to the Good Villa when you're free. I'll show you around," Daniel greeted Madison's female classmates one by one. When he encountered the more beautiful ones, he couldn't help but spare them a few more glances.

"Wow, that's awesome! Your boyfriend is so rich, Madison." The female classmates couldn't help but cheer. The Good Villa was a well-known vacation destination in New York, and just the entrance fee alone cost a lot of money. There were also many luxurious entertainment facilities inside.

Madison couldn't help but feel proud at all this praise.

"What about William? He was such a talented guy in college. Weren't you two dating before?" one of the female classmates couldn't help but ask.

"What do you mean, a talented guy? He was just average in college. After he graduated, he became useless, lost his job, and couldn't even afford rent. I broke up with him a long time ago," Madison described William as completely useless, wanting to erase him from her own history.

"He lost his job and couldn’t even afford rent? I never thought that talented guy from college would end up like that. I wonder if he'll be here today." The female classmates, who had been looking forward to seeing William, now seemed less interested.

"It seems like William doesn't have much to look forward to. It's nice that you had a good eye and found Daniel, Madison. You'll live a prosperous life in the future," another female classmate said enviously.

"You'll find someone like that in the future too. You don’t need to envy me." Madison said that humbly, but she couldn't help but feel happy that she was being admired by her former classmates. It reaffirmed her decision to kick William, a poor man, out of her life. Otherwise, she would have been mocked by everyone at the reunion today.

Daniel, who was listening, also enjoyed the conversation. After all, being praised made him happy. A faint smile appeared on his lips as he felt proud inside.

‘Let's see if you’ll be able to act arrogantly in front of me this time, William. If you dare to come the reunion, I'll expose your true penniless self.’

While they were chatting, a skinny man suddenly burst into the room from outside, shouting.

"Everyone! Guess who I saw at the entrance?"

"Was it Michelle?" All the boys turned toward the entrance. Most of them had come just to catch a glimpse of the goddess from their college days.

"No, the goddess hasn't arrived. It's William, the talented one from our university days," the slim man paused to catch his breath, having run too fast.

"William? What's so exciting about him?" The boys were not impressed, and the girls who had some expectations for William had also lost interest after hearing Madison's words.

After all, they had no interest in a poor man who had no job and couldn't afford rent.

Daniel, on the other hand, grew even more excited. If William dared show his face, he would make sure to bully that man in front of their former classmates and see just how arrogant he could be.

But after taking a breath, the slim man suddenly exclaimed.

"He came in a Ferrari F12 sports car! It's so cool! Lots of people are gathering at the entrance now."

"What? A Ferrari?" Everyone gasped, shocked by the news.

A Ferrari F12 sports car cost at least five million dollars. How could William be doing so well just three years after graduation?

"William is driving a Ferrari. How impressive." The male classmates couldn't believe it and planned to ask him about his money-making methods later. The female classmates were even more incredulous.

"Does William really have a Ferrari? Madison, didn't you say he lost his job and couldn't pay rent?"

The female classmates no longer believed Madison. Their eyes were filled with renewed expectations for William.

Madison remained silent, shocked beyond words.

"He has a Ferrari? How is that possible? How could that poor man afford such a luxurious car?"

Daniel furrowed his brow even more, thinking that William must be playing a trick.

Amidst the various emotions of the crowd, William walked in with Liam, wearing a faint smile, instantly capturing the attention of everyone present.
