Chapter 334 Farewell, Mysterious Old Man

In Long Island's West district, there is a grand and magnificent mountain called Euler Hill. The mountain is covered with dense forests and teems with birds and beasts, making it a rare and beautiful place untouched by environmental pollution.

However, in recent years, Euler Hill has been developed into a tourist attraction by a mysterious figure in Long Island. But with an altitude of over a thousand meters, it has restricted areas, not only prohibiting tourists from entering but also declining the entry of many important figures in the city.

In the fog on the mountaintop, a manor can be seen faintly. People who come here for tourism consider it as the place where "immortals" reside.

Led by Arianna, William arrived at the foot of Euler Hill. From a distance, there were many tourists climbing and having fun there, as well as numerous large-scale amusement projects, including roller coasters and Ferris wheels.

"This is my first time coming to Euler Hill. I didn't expect it to be so lively," William said unintentionally.

Arianna replied somewhat arrogantly, "Come, I'll take you to meet my mentor!"

William nodded and followed Arianna into the hill.

Euler Hill truly lived up to its reputation as the number one tourist attraction in Long Island. Although the tickets were expensive, many people still came for the visit, including organized groups from other cities.

As far as the eye could see, it was crowded with people. After entering, they found every amusement project had long queues, filled with both adults and children.

"Arianna, why didn't you need a ticket to enter?" William asked in surprise.

"It's because this is a project invested and developed by our Ocean Guild," Arianna replied. Coming here was like coming back home to her.

"In that case, money shouldn't be a problem. If I had known, I should have ordered more during breakfast earlier," William joked.

"You're just a glutton, only thinking about eating," Arianna said with annoyance. That two hundred and eighty thousand dollars was spent from her own pocket. If he continued eating so much every meal, all her money would be eaten up.

"You're stingy!" William teased.

"Who's stingy? You ate two hundred and eighty thousand dollars' worth of food in one meal and you're calling me stingy?" Arianna replied in exasperation.

"Stingy." Arianna thought William wasn't all that great, and if it weren't for the mentor valuing him, she wouldn't have bothered speaking to him at all.

William smiled, finding it more entertaining to train her than he did with Fiona in the past.

Navigating through the crowded crowd, the two climbed up along the mountainside, encountering various plants along the way, apart from people.

However, as they climbed higher, there were fewer people. By the time they were close to reaching an altitude of one thousand meters, there were no more tourists. Going any further up was impossible as a giant iron gate blocked the way, surrounded by cliffs. It was practically impossible to go up without passing through that gate.

"Further up is the headquarters of the Ocean Guild, and my mentor is waiting there for you," Arianna said, looking up at the faintly visible mansion, a hint of joy sparkling in her clear eyes.

"So, this is where you live, as if you were immortals," William casually remarked.

"Why do you talk so much?" Arianna retorted, dissatisfied.

Then, she took out a key and opened the massive iron gate, gesturing for William to come inside.

"Come in, the world above will definitely surprise you."

"Alright," William nodded and followed, curious about the world behind this iron gate.

Stepping through the massive iron gate, they encountered a secluded mountain path leading to the mountaintop. Surrounding them were scattered clouds and various rare plants, as well as animals like deer and goats roaming freely.

Arianna led William straight ahead.

"The air here is really refreshing!" William subconsciously took a deep breath, feeling a slight increase in the flow of his psychic energy. This discovery leaving him yet again, pleasantly surprised.

"The air here is extraordinary."

"I didn't expect you to notice it so quickly. No wonder the mentor specifically wanted to meet you," Arianna said, surprised that William noticed the uniqueness of this place so soon.

"Practicing here for a year is equivalent to practicing outside for three years. It truly is a sacred place," William suddenly thought of the mythical paradise often mentioned in novels, and it seemed like this place was just that.

"This is indeed a rare blessing, but there are even more benefits that you can't imagine," Arianna said, plucking a wild fruit from the roadside and passing it to William.

"Eat it and feel the surge of psychic energy within you."

Upon hearing this, William's eyes lit up. Could this be some kind of immortal fruit?

After taking the fruit from Arianna's hand, he quickly ate it. It had a slightly sour and sweet taste, and he licked his lips after finishing.

As soon as the fruit entered his stomach, William felt his psychic energy accelerate, as if he had taken an enhancer. It flowed faster than before.

Normally, the speed was increased several times compared to when he took the pill. At this time, if he meditated and cultivated, his super energy would undoubtedly increase significantly.

"These fruits are truly amazing. They can actually increase my super energy." William was once again surprised. He then glanced at the wild fruits on the roadside, thinking that he should bring back more when he returned. This way, his cultivation speed would be even faster.

"The effect of eating these wild fruits is best for the first one. The effect diminishes with subsequent ones." Arianna seemed to see through William's thoughts and advised him right away.

"I see!" William nodded knowingly, but in his heart, he made up his mind to pick all the ripe fruits here later. Even if he didn't eat them, he could share them with Beauvoir and Sharon.

Especially Sharon and Lillian, whose super energy was weak, using these fruits to enhance their strength would be most appropriate.

Arianna thought that William had given up the idea of picking the wild fruits, but little did she know that he was actually thinking about how to gather everything here.

"I can't come back empty-handed this time." William secretly determined in his heart.

After the two of them passed through the secluded mountain path, they continued walking forward for a while and saw a vast mountainous area. Standing there was an estate that stretched for kilometers, covering a large area.

"This is the headquarters of the Ocean Guild. Let's go in. I bet the mentor is anxious." Arianna said, her face brimming with joy, as she walked towards the entrance of the estate.

"Mentor, I'm back!" After Arianna pushed the door and went in, she happily called out loudly, like a little girl returning home from school.

Upon seeing this, William followed suit and entered. As soon as he entered, the first thing he saw was a tall fruit tree in the estate with many fruits hanging from it. They looked like dragon fruits, but William knew that dragon fruits don't grow on trees.

"What kind of fruit is this? It looks much more delicious than the wild fruits outside." William couldn't help but salivate.

While William was guessing to himself, a hearty and deep voice came from the depths of the estate.

"This tree is called Bear's Paw. It blooms only once every ten years and bears fruit every ten years. Eating it will greatly enhance your cultivation."

Hearing this, William instinctively turned his head and saw that the person who came was indeed the old man with white hair that he saw when he auctioned the land in New York.
