Chapter 225 It's You I'm After
"Tomorrow, I'm coming to New York to discuss your engagement with Sophia!" Cynthia's voice came through the phone, carrying a hint of seriousness and sincerity.
"Engagement? You're coming to New York tomorrow?" William was completely unprepared. This was too sudden.
Why would she suddenly come to talk about their engagement? Could it be that they were going to announce the engagement? At this thought, William felt a sudden panic. If he and Sophia were to fulfill the engagement now, what about Michelle?
"Yeah, I'll call you when I get there." Cynthia's voice came through the phone again.
William and Cynthia chatted for a few more moments before ending the call.
Afterwards, William felt a bit restless and uneasy. He faintly sensed a connection between the Sophia kidnapping and Cynthia's sudden phone call about the engagement, but he didn't have any more clues, and for the time being, he couldn't figure it out.
In the evening, William took Kayla and Fiona to Floral bar.
This time, William mainly came to accompany Kayla and Fiona, acting as their bodyguard. After all, Floral bar attracts all kinds of people, and it's inevitable that some may have ill intentions towards Kayla and Fiona's beauty.
"This place is really luxurious. It seems like there's a rapper performing here tonight," Fiona said, noticing the poster in front of the bar promoting a rapper named Yohan who would be performing there tonight.
"Are you happy now? Come, let's go drink," Kayla pulled Fiona inside.
William shook his head speechlessly and quickly followed them.
Inside the bar, it was noisy and crowded.
Kayla and Fiona quickly caught the attention of many men, but luckily, with William following closely behind them, no one approached them.
Once they reached the bar counter, William directly ordered a row of drinks, about fifty bottles, including beer and wine, placed conspicuously on the counter.
"Drink up, tonight I'll allow you to go wild," William told Fiona, hoping that she would forget about Raining after having some fun.
"I'll just play for a bit and then go back," Fiona seemed conflicted, but Kayla immediately pulled her away. "Don't fret, since we're here for fun, let's have a good time."
Since William was driving, he abstained from alcohol and instead ordered a glass of water, leisurely observing the men and women on the dance floor.
This is nightlife!
Back when he didn't have money, he couldn't even imagine being in a scene like this. Now that he had money, it didn't feel that extraordinary.
Lost in these thoughts, William was suddenly approached by a provocatively dressed woman, exuding a coquettish charm, who said in a flirtatious tone, "You ordered so much alcohol but you're drinking water, were you intentionally waiting for me?"
William didn't expect that someone so casually dressed like him would still get hit on by a girl. It was quite unexpected.
"If you want a drink, get it yourself," William replied with a faint smile, quickly realizing that this woman had probably approached him because of the drinks he ordered.
"Well, then I won't be polite," the woman said, taking a bottle of wine, pouring herself a glass, and deliberately leaning towards William. She even intentionally lowered her neckline, attempting to catch William's gaze.
However, before she could capture William's attention, she attracted Kayla's furious glare instead.
"Sorry, but he's already taken," Kayla said, clinging to William's arm like she was protecting her territory. The message couldn't have been clearer.
"I was just here to have a drink, you're overthinking it," the woman giggled flirtatiously, threw a seductive glance at William, and then walked away, taking the bottle of wine with her.
"You can tell she's not a good person at a glance," Kayla said, slightly jealous.
William was speechless. Since when did he belong to Kayla?
"Aren't you going to join Fiona in having a wild time?" he asked.
"I don't have as much energy as she does," Kayla said, actually wanting to be alone with William. As for Fiona, let her have fun on her own!
As they chatted, Yohan walked out from the backstage, causing cheers to erupt in the bar. The girls in the crowd seemed particularly fond of Yohan, screaming and flocking towards him.
"Wow, it's Yohan! Yohan is here."
"He's so handsome, Yohan is incredibly handsome."
"He looks even better in person than on TV. Look over here, Yohan."
Yohan used to participate in talent shows, and with his good looks, he gained some fame and was quite popular among the girls.
However, due to the large number of onlookers, the dance floor became crowded, and William saw Fiona struggling helplessly in the crowd.
"Kayla, wait here. I'll go find Fiona." William was afraid that Fiona would get knocked down and trampled amidst the crowd, so he rushed into the crowd to reach her.
However, William was a step too late.

This incident sparked a huge commotion, but William paid no attention. He went straight to Fiona's side, helped her up, and asked with great concern.
"Fiona, are you okay?"
"William, thank goodness you came. I thought I was going to be trampled to death just now." Fiona still had lingering fear and had several footprints on her body. It seems that after being pushed down, she was stepped on a few times.
"Let's get out of here first. There are too many people here." William wanted to quickly take Fiona out. The crowd was too overwhelming. However, just as he turned around, Yohan, accompanied by his two bodyguards, blocked their way.

"So what if I pushed you? I was being polite enough not to demand an apology from your bodyguards." William furrowed his brow and retorted directly. Not even if a singer, let alone a superstar, arrived, William wasn't afraid.
"You pushed me and you want me to apologize to that girl?" Yohan laughed bitterly, feeling a burning anger inside.
"What do you want?" William sneered. Yohan's reasoning was like that of a bandit; he knocked someone down and refused to apologize, but he couldn't stand being pushed. He thought that just because he became popular by singing a few songs, he could do whatever he wanted.
"Get on your knees and apologize to me. Otherwise, you won't be able to leave Floral Bar today." Yohan said arrogantly, seemingly relying on something.
"You want me to kneel and apologize to you?" William scoffed, Yohan really thought highly of himself!
William delivered a direct slap to Yohan's face as he said those words, immediately followed by a kick that sent him flying.
This scene instantly stunned everyone present, their mouths agape with disbelief. This person was truly incredible! He dared to strike Yohan, after all.
Yohan being hit was not something his two bodyguards could simply stand by and watch. They immediately charged towards William, but he effortlessly kicked them both, sending them flying as well.
The onlookers gasped in astonishment once again. This person's skills were just too impressive!
While the two bodyguards were being thrown off, Yohan staggered and rose from the ground.
"You dare to strike me? I am hired by the owner of Floral Bar. Hitting me is like hitting the bar owner's face. Let's see how you're going to leave here today."
Just as he finished speaking, the owner of Floral Bar, Eduardo, hurriedly emerged from backstage. His hired singer being attacked, how could he not come out?
Eduardo had a shaved head and wore a gold chain. He looked like a typical thug.
"What's going on?" Eduardo bellowed loudly as he approached, followed by over a dozen henchmen, a menacing aura surrounding them.
"This person struck me, completely disregarding your authority," Yohan ran to Eduardo's side and tearfully complained.
"Daring to cause trouble in Floral Bar, who do you think you are?" Eduardo said, waving his hand. The dozen or so security guards behind him promptly moved forward, surrounding William and Fiona.
William was not afraid, but Fiona's face turned pale with fear. The situation was about to escalate when a gentle voice resonated from the crowd.
"These two are my friends. It was all a misunderstanding."
It was Kayla. She pushed through the crowd and arrived by William and Fiona's side.
"Oh, Miss Garcia," Eduardo recognized Kayla and her elevated status in New York. People no longer called her Kayla; they referred to her as Miss Garcia. It was evident that her identity had changed significantly.
"If it was a misunderstanding, then both parties should apologize to each other, and this matter will be put to rest."
Eduardo, seeing that William and Fiona were Kayla's acquaintances, wanted to resolve the issue. However, Yohan seemed unwilling to let it go.
"Eduardo, I am deeply disappointed by your actions. Asking me to apologize to him?"
"No need to apologize to me; apologize to Fiona," William frowned and walked towards Yohan.
The latter quickly hid behind Eduardo in fear.
Eduardo did not expect William to be so assertive, making the situation more difficult to handle. He pondered Kayla's request.
Not to be overlooked, behind the Garcia Group is the Power Group nowadays. Antony is a force to be afraid of with in New York, and if he offends Kayla, he will face consequences.
Suddenly, Eduardo thought of something and reminded William, "Yohan is a singer under Graham Entertainment. If you push him too far, his company and agent won't let it go. The Graham family is not someone we can afford to offend."
"Are you talking about Kitchener's Graham family, which owns Graham Entertainment?" William didn't expect this singer to be from Graham Entertainment, and it instantly gave him an idea.
"Yes, they are ranked sixth on the domestic family power list. We really can't afford to offend them." Eduardo intentionally exaggerated the consequences to scare William into giving up.
"I am actually looking for the Graham family!" William smiled and then pushed Eduardo aside, grabbing Yohan.
"Come with me tonight!"
"Save me. Quickly call my agent." Yohan never expected William to be so bold and want to take him away. This made him extremely anxious.
Eduardo couldn't afford the consequences, so he could only watch as William took Yohan away. But he wasn't stupid and quickly called Yohan's agent.
