Chapter 113 Let's Make You Lose Again
With Antony helping to handle Pierre, William had nothing to worry about. It seemed unlikely that Jovan's uncle would arrive here today.
William immediately messaged Wendy again, asking her to find out what assets Jovan owned and to evaluate the most valuable one. He also wanted her to draft an acquisition agreement and have Sharon deliver it to Mandro Street.
After completing all of this, William finally sat back down in his chair, feeling at ease.
Meanwhile, Jovan coughed a few times after getting up from the ground. It seemed that he was injured from William's beating, especially the pain in his chest. It was evident that William's kick had been very strong.
"You bastard, wait until my uncle comes. I'll make sure you're dead!" Jovan hoped that his uncle would come to avenge him because he couldn't defeat William on his own.
"You bastard, don't you dare run. Wait until my uncle comes!" Jovan was afraid that William would escape. Jason, Roy, and Jovan had been blocking the door to prevent William from running away.
"Don't worry, I won't run. But don't think about taking assets from me. You're dreaming!" William said with a slight smile.
"I suggest we leave, William! It will be even more trouble once his uncle arrives," Sophia worriedly suggested.
"Yes, yes! It's better to leave now and not engage with this kind of person." Kylie also wanted to leave. If Jovan's uncle arrived, it wouldn't be easy to leave.
"It's alright. His uncle can't come anymore," William said with a slight smile.
"His uncle can't come anymore?" Sophia and Kylie asked almost simultaneously.
"I just guessed," William chuckled awkwardly, quickly brushing it off. "You two just enjoy your food here!"
As William spoke, he didn't forget to take a piece of pastry and put it into his mouth, looking carefree.
Meanwhile, Jovan and his companions stood at the door, eyeing the scene with venomous expressions. "Bastard, how dare you still have the appetite to eat? Later, I'll make you throw up everything you've eaten," Jovan said with a malicious gaze.
As time passed, Jovan's uncle still hadn't appeared, but Sharon arrived at the store with several acquisition agreements in hand.
Upon seeing Sharon, Jason and Roy took a step back in fright.
"You scared the hell out of me!" Jovan complained.
"It's that guy's cousin," Jason and Roy said wide-eyed, having suffered plenty under Sharon's hands.
"His cousin?" Jovan followed their gaze and indeed saw a stunning beauty walking in with an icy expression.
"What's there to be afraid of?" Jovan had never witnessed Sharon's power, so in his opinion, what could a woman do?
After Sharon came in, she scanned the store and immediately locked her gaze on William. Walking over, she handed the acquisition agreements to him.
"Cousin, I've brought the acquisition agreements for you. Wendy says the most valuable asset under Jovan's name is a resort in New York worth 2 billion dollars. Additionally, Wendy has prepared two other high-quality asset contracts under his name, which are also of considerable value. You can choose the one you like."
"A resort worth 2 billion dollars?" William's eyes lit up. He hadn't expected Jovan to hold such valuable assets. He then took the acquisition agreement and flipped through it, seeing the name “Cloud Resort” written on it.
"So Cloud Resort is his? That's going to bring a huge profit!" William smiled, then glanced at the other two acquisition agreements—a five-star hotel and a commercial department store.
Though their market value was slightly lower than the resort, their locations and prospects were very promising.
"I never expected this guy to have so many high-quality assets under his name. The Ashford family truly lives up to its reputation as a prestigious family. A descendant of the family actually possesses so many assets. But I like it," William thought, considering if he could find another opportunity to get something from Jovan. Otherwise, these two extra acquisition agreements would go to waste.
With that in mind, William approached Jovan, holding the acquisition agreements, with Sharon following closely behind.
"Jovan, I want your Cloud Resort. Sign it!" William handed the acquisition agreement to Jovan as they had agreed before. If Jovan lost, he would have to transfer one of his assets to William unconditionally.
Jovan was slightly taken aback. He didn't expect William to ask for his most valuable asset. There was no way he could agree to that.
"It's impossible!" Jovan immediately rejected. This vacation resort was the birthday gift from his father, the most valuable and profitable asset under his name. How could he transfer it to someone else?
"Have you thought it through?" William smirked.
"No matter how much I think about it, it's still impossible..." Jovan's words were interrupted by a sudden slap from Sharon. The speed of her movement was astonishing, leaving Jason and Roy speechless, subconsciously maintaining some distance from Jovan.
"Bastard! How dare you hit me! My uncle will be here soon, and he will kill you!" Jovan spoke, still unwilling, and raised his hand to hit Sharon. However, in the next second, Sharon directly struck him down with a left hook, completely disorienting him.
This woman's speed was even faster than William's, several times faster. In front of her, he felt like a child.
"Will you sign or not?" William squatted down, smiling.
"Of course, I will sign, but I'll wait for my uncle to come first." Jovan gritted his teeth, planning to use delaying tactics. Once his uncle arrived, he would have nothing to fear from William and his cousin.
Hearing this, William's eyes brightened, and he said, his gaze shifting, "Your uncle won't come. Give up on that idea!"
"Nonsense! My uncle is not someone you can talk about!" Jovan insisted.
"We can make a bet. If your uncle arrives here before this evening, I'll admit defeat, and the previous bet will be canceled. But if your uncle doesn't appear here today, it means you lose, and this time, I want you to transfer two of your assets to me.
“With the two bets combined, a total of three assets under your name will be unconditionally transferred to me. How about that?" William revealed his true intention and didn't expect Wendy to come in handy with two transfer agreements at this moment.
"Fine. Just watch how I'll defeat you later!" Jovan expressed confidence because his uncle had explicitly informed him that he was on his way. He was certain of winning this bet.
Seeing Jovan's agreement, William's lips curled into a slight smile. This fool still thought he could rely on his uncle.
Immediately, William sent a text message to Antony, inquiring about the situation with Pierre. He quickly received a reply confirming that Pierre was already taken care of, which made William even more confident.
