Chapter 326 I'll Be Here, Nothing Will Happen

William stood upright by the floor-to-ceiling window, lost in his thoughts as he gazed at the bustling scenery outside. Reflecting on the crazy night they had experienced, he couldn't help but feel remorse. In the end, he betrayed Michelle; he had initially planned to break off their engagement...

The plan had become somewhat unrealistic after last night. However, a flash of anger crossed William's eyes when he thought about how Malcolm dared to conspire against Sophia with such a vicious trick. Fortunately, William himself was there to protect Sophia. If Malcolm instigated any further, the Brown family might truly break off the engagement with the Smith family and hold a grudge against them and Sophia.

"Malcolm, I won't let you get away with this," William suddenly clenched his fist. Everything was thanks to Malcolm, so William had to take him down to calm the anger in his heart.

Lost in his thoughts, William suddenly heard a voice from behind. He instinctively turned his head and saw a woman lying on a luxurious bed. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly before she woke up.

After scanning the surroundings, her gaze finally landed on William, who was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window. At that moment, their eyes met, and Sophia's face quickly blushed.

Remembering the crazy night they had, a shy Sophia pulled the covers up and buried her head in them. She couldn't bring herself to look at William now; it was just too embarrassing.

"Sophia, you're awake. Are you feeling better?" Unable to resist a slight smirk upon seeing Sophia's shy and avoiding gaze, William poured a cup of hot water and sat down at the edge of the bed.

"I'm fine now!" Sophia replied from under the covers.

"I poured you a cup of water. Drink it first. Breakfast will be delivered soon. It's either lobster rice or whatever you prefer," William said, patting the bedding.

Hearing the mention of delicious food, Sophia finally raised her head, but her face still flushed.

"Is it really lobster rice?"

"Yes, now hurry and get up! Put on your clothes." William placed the cup of hot water on the bedside table and then turned his body away, giving her some privacy to get dressed.

Sophia bit her lip. After hesitating for a while, she finally decided to get up. However, when she uncovered the bed, the sight of a red bloodstain on the sheet made her face heat up. She hadn't given her virginity to her fiancé; instead, it was William. This was something she never expected.

Sophia quickly dressed herself in the gown, but she couldn't help but think back to the wild night they had last night, getting lost in her own thoughts.

"Are you dressed?" William's words interrupted Sophia's daydreaming. Suddenly, she felt like a child caught cheating, stumbling nervously over her words.

"I'm dressed!"

Only then did William turn around. Although Sophia had just gotten out of bed and hadn't freshened up yet, he felt a deep sense of attraction towards her.

Dressed up, but still captivatingly beautiful.

As soon as William thought about how this famous star, beloved by millions of fans, had become his woman last night, he could only smile wryly and shake his head. Truly, life is unpredictable.

"Sophia, I apologize for last night," William said, realizing that he had taken advantage of Sophia.

"You don't need to apologize. Given the circumstances, if we hadn't done that, we would have been doomed. It's all because of my wicked cousin, Malcolm," Sophia said, holding no blame towards William. Instead, she harbored great hatred towards Malcolm. She never expected that someone from her own family would plot against her in such a despicable manner; it was beyond her imagination.

"Regardless, I will take responsibility for you," William said, earnestly looking at Sophia.

Sophia first felt relieved but soon her eyes grew dim.

"You don't have to worry. What happened last night was just an accident. I know you have feelings for Michelle, and I am engaged as well. We can never be together," Sophia explained, feeling discouraged. Although the fortune-teller said she would marry the person she loves in the future, she couldn't find the confidence in it.

William remained silent because Sophia spoke the truth. He didn't know how to perfectly solve the issues between them.

"By the way, has Malcolm been caught?" Sophia suddenly changed the subject.

"There is no news yet," William replied, also worried. If Malcolm was not caught, then their situation might be exposed.

Sophia looked worried, her brows furrowing. Once her relationship with William was exposed, the consequences would be unimaginable. Not only would they face the Brown family's retaliation, but it could also implicate the Smith family, which is the last thing she wanted to happen.

"William, what if the Brown family finds out about us? How will they retaliate?" Sophia asked, filled with concern.

William smiled lightly and casually replied, "They might just pretend that nothing happened."

"How is that possible? They won't simply let us go," Sophia said, becoming afraid. What she feared the most was the involvement of her parents and the Smith family. If that happened, she would feel guilty.

"Rest assured, they won't do anything to the Smith family," William thought to himself, wanting to chuckle.

"Why are you so calm? I'm nearly going crazy with worry," Sophia said anxiously.

"Don't worry, as long as I'm here, the Smith family won't be implicated," William reassured her nonchalantly. And that was the truth. Sophia had just spent one night with her fiancé, William. It wasn't a big deal.

Knowing my parents, they would probably be happy if they found out.

"Well, I guess we can only take it one step at a time now!" Sophia sighed, feeling somewhat powerless in the face of the world's top families.

After a while, the waiter brought them breakfast. Seeing the delicious food, Sophia momentarily forgot her worries.

"Smells so good, and I'm just so hungry!" Sophia sniffed her delicate nose and began eating. However, the lobster rice was too hot, and she ate too quickly, burning her mouth and causing her to stick out her tongue in pain.

"Slow down, Fiona and Kylie are not here, no one is competing with you," William said, shaking his head at her greedy appearance.

Just as he said that, William's phone received a message from Antony. After opening it, he learned that Malcolm had been captured by Antony's men. A slight smile appeared on his lips.

"Malcolm, where are you going to run this time?"

William muttered to himself; his eyes filled with a murderous intent.
