Chapter 324 The Inevitable Situation
Malcolm and Grandpa Taylor were secretly discussing something.
"Grandpa Taylor, how confident are you that we can kill this William bastard using the Backstabbing plan?" Malcolm asked anxiously.
"I'm fifty percent certain! This person's strength is beyond my expectations. If we engage in a prolonged direct confrontation, I may lose to him," Grandpa Taylor honestly admitted. After all, he was getting older, and it is certain that he would eventually lose to the young and strong William if the fight dragged on for too long.
"Is this person really that powerful? Even Grandpa Taylor isn't confident he can win against him?" Malcolm asked, shocked.
"Yes, based on the probing two days ago, this person has been at the Grandmaster level for at least ten years. But luckily, we have a backup plan, Plan B. If we can't defeat him with force, we still have a way to kill him or ruin Sophia. Therefore, this is an infallible situation," Grandpa Taylor said confidently.
"Alright, then everything depends on you, Grandpa Taylor," Malcolm said, determined.
Malcolm trusts Grandpa Taylor completely, and their plan is almost perfect and foolproof.
Following Grandpa Taylor's suggestion, Malcolm quickly invited William and Sophia, however, only the two of them came. Fiona and Kylie did not join them this time.
William was concerned that there would be too many people to take care of if everyone came and he wouldn't be able to handle it. So, he decided not to let them come.
At the same time, William was prepared to take action. If the situation didn't go well, he would immediately take down Malcolm. As for Grandpa Taylor, if he dared to interfere, William would take him out directly.
As soon as William entered the private room, he smelled a strange scent, like pine pollen, but very faint.
"Why is there a smell in this room too?" William frowned, feeling cautious.
Sophia, on the other hand, seemed oblivious to the strange smell and sat calmly in her seat.
"It's been two days, and you look much better!" Malcolm greeted them.
"But you look a bit worse. Did Long Island women leave a lasting impression on you?" William guessed that Malcolm had definitely been spending his time with women these past two days, judging by his flushed face.
Malcolm awkwardly chuckled, quickly concealing it.
"Tell us, why did you call us here? Just get to the point!" William seemed to have caught on to Malcolm and Grandpa Taylor's intentions.
"Her parents miss Sophia and want me to bring her back to Canada. Are you trying to stop us?" Malcolm got straight to the point.
They came here prepared to be tough, and the plan was already in place, so there was no need to hide anymore.
"What if I say no? Even if Sophia wants to go to Canada, I will escort her there myself," William responded coldly.
Sophia stood up and said, "You don't need to bother. If I want to go back to Canada, it won't be with your escort."
"Alright, since that's the case, there's nothing more to discuss! Grandpa Taylor, I'll leave it to you!" Seeing their determined attitudes, Malcolm knew that persuasion was futile and they would have to resort to force.
"Sir, please stand back to avoid getting hurt later," Grandpa Taylor turned and said to Malcolm, who obediently moved back.
William would never back down at this point. He directly shielded Sophia behind him and said to her, "Sophia, you stay back and watch how I deal with them." William already confirmed that Malcolm was involved in the plot to assassinate Sophia, so this came as no surprise to either of them.
"He's not planning on holding back anymore," Grandpa Taylor observed, his hand in a claw-like grip as he fiercely lunged towards William. The speed was astonishing, leaving only a blur on the ground as the old man disappeared and reappeared in front of William.
"Well done," William smirked, tightening his fist with ninety percent of his strength, ready to deliver a fatal blow to the old man.
William's fist reached its target before Grandpa Taylor's sharp claw. The punch carried a powerful whooshing sound as it collided with the old man's hand.
Grandpa Taylor's eagle-like claw was formidable, but William's punch was equally forceful.
As their strengths clashed, William suddenly shouted, "Die!" In an instant, his wrist erupted with a surge of energy, doubling the power of the energy in his fist. Caught off guard, Grandpa Taylor was sent flying, crashing into a table which shattered upon impact.
"Grandpa Taylor?" Malcolm exclaimed in shock. The invincible Grandpa Taylor was overpowered by a single punch from William. This was terrifying.
"How about it? Still want to die?" William calmly approached and looked down at the defeated Grandpa Taylor.
The latter struggled to stand up, a trace of blood oozing from the corner of his mouth, his eyes filled with disbelief.
"I never expected... I never expected your strength to be so surprising. To be so formidable at such a young age... Who is your teacher?" Grandpa Taylor coughed, asking.
"You are not worthy of knowing who my teacher is. Today is your time to die," William responded, clenching his fist, preparing to move forward. However, Grandpa Taylor chuckled and said,
"You bastard. I have to admit, you are indeed very powerful. But you are still too naive. You and Sophia have both been poisoned."
"Poisoned?" William was horrified, connecting the dots with the strange smell he sensed earlier.
"Didn't see that coming, did you? The talisman of protection I gave Sophia was poisoned two days ago. Once exposed to the Pine Blossom Secret Powder, a deadly toxin will be released. Without an antidote within six hours, death is inevitable," Grandpa Taylor triumphantly declared.
"Give me the antidote, or you will all die today." William suddenly felt his body growing warm, and when he looked at Sophia, she seemed to be experiencing the same reaction, her face flushed like a red apple.
Seeing William demanding the antidote, Malcolm burst into laughter.
"Antidote? The antidote is right in front of you, it's me."
"Originally, it was intended for pleasure. So, either you die of poisoning six hours later, or you rape Sophia. But in that case, her reputation will be irreparably damaged, and you can expect retaliation from the Brown family. The Smith family will also have their engagement with the Brown family broken off because of your actions. It's a no-win situation."
"Hahaha, I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of revenge the Smith family and you will face," Malcolm suddenly burst into mad laughter, realizing that this plan had no solution.
Either William and Sophia die from poisoning, thus achieving their goal, or they find an antidote, but the consequences of such actions would be even more severe.
"You're seeking death." William's eyes turned crimson. This scheme was indeed poisonous and almost unsolvable. With that, he threw a punch towards Malcolm.
