Chapter 142 Can He be Spared?

Within just three days, William had completely dealt with Bence, making it impossible for him to cause trouble at Wilson's Hotel and cutting off any thoughts of revenge.

During those three days, Noad's head wound in the hospital had been closely monitored, and all the necessary examinations were done. There was nothing major, which relieved Michelle and the others.

After being discharged from the hospital and returning home, they called for William to join them for dinner, and the four of them sat together in a harmonious atmosphere.

"William, thanks to you this time! You got Bence kicked out of the company, and now my job has become much easier!"

Noad was very happy today. He never expected that when William replaced him for a few days of work, he would actually get rid of the troublesome Bence. It truly made him happy.

It was clear that besides his influential background, William also had strong abilities of his own.

"Dad, William can't drink and drive, so have some fruit juice instead!" Michelle said, personally pouring a cup of fruit juice for William.

William smiled. He didn't expect Michelle to be so thoughtful.

"By the way, William, were you comfortable staying at our place these past three days?" Noad asked eagerly, with an underlying implication in his tone.

"It's been fine, much better than the place I rented outside." William had previously told Michelle that he rented a place to live, so he had to continue with this lie for now.

"Why rent a place outside? We have a guest room here. You can move in if you're not uncomfortable living with us two old folks. Also, I bought a property at Flower Villa for Michelle, so you can live there with her too," Noad hinted.

These words made Michelle blush with shyness, her face turning slightly red. However, in her heart, she had some small anticipation. She really wanted to live with William at Flower Villa, so she could see him every day.

But Katharine was strongly against it. "Honey, are you out of your mind? How can you let our daughter live outside with a poor man? What are you thinking?"

"You wouldn't understand even if I told you." Noad's mind was sharp. After observing for over a month, he was certain that William's background was not simple. The Lanner family had its industry stopped overnight by 70%, a method that only top-tier aristocratic families could achieve.

In addition, William's certified status from the Morongo Foundation proved the saying - he had money and power. Noad wanted Michelle and William to get married, aligning himself with this mysterious powerhouse and accelerating his dream of becoming a significant figure.

"I don't understand anything, do I?" Katharine felt infuriated. She was already unwilling to let their daughter live with William for three days, and now he wanted them to live together outside. That was impossible!

Though Katharine's words sounded harsh, it secretly relieved William. He didn't want to live with Michelle just yet. He still had the little devil Fiona waiting for him at Ring Villa. Since Sophia entrusted Fiona to him, he had to fulfill his responsibility.

"By the way, auntie, do you know the Bell family in the North district? The instigator behind the construction site incident is a member of the Bell family."

This topic immediately caught Katharine's attention.

"The Bell family?" Katharine and Noah exchanged glances, both showing wary expressions.

"They are not to be messed with," Noah said with a serious face.

"We never had any dealings with the Bell family, so why are they targeting my project? It's really strange."

Katharine was also puzzled, but she didn't dare to question the Bell family. This family originally had a background in the underworld and held significant power.

In recent years, as the country cracked down on such activities, they started to operate legitimate businesses. However, their involvement in the industry accounted for one-third of the North district, indicating their strong influence.

William suspected that Michelle's aunt, Hannah, had a connection with the Bell family, but without catching the key figure, Bund, there was no way to confirm it. He could only wait for an opportunity in the future.

After having his fill, William returned to Ring Villa. It had been three days since he disciplined the little troublemaker, and it would be best if the child didn't cause any more trouble.

When William returned to Ring Villa, it was already nearly midnight.

William searched the house but couldn't find Fiona anywhere. Worried, he went upstairs and opened the doors of every room, but he still didn't see Fiona. This made William anxious.

"It's late at night, and she hasn't come home yet. I wonder where she went?" Fortunately, William had Fiona's phone number.

He took out his mobile phone, intending to call her, but was shocked to see that Fiona had actually called him. It was as if they had a telepathic connection, truly magical.

William quickly answered the call. The other end of the line was filled with loud heavy metal music, indicating she was in a bar or nightclub.

"William, I'm in VIP room 203 at Shack Bar. Come pick me up!" Fiona sounded anxious on the phone.

"Wait for me and don't wander around!" William quickly instructed, and after hanging up, he headed straight out, got in his car, and drove toward Shack Bar.

A girl going out to play in the middle of the night could cause trouble, and William would have a hard time explaining it to Sophia.

Half an hour later, William's car stopped in front of Shack Bar. As soon as he got out, he headed inside to find Fiona.

Shack Bar was a high-end establishment, and there were many wealthy men and women partying inside. Of course, there were also some ruffians and gangsters in a place like this.

"It's very dangerous for a girl to be alone here," William thought as he hurriedly made his way through the crowd on the first floor, heading toward the VIP room on the second floor.

"Room 203, this should be it," William murmured to himself, guided by the room number Fiona had given him over the phone. He quickly found the corresponding private room.

Upon pushing the door open, apart from the heavy metal music playing inside, he heard people screaming wildly. To his surprise, the VIP room was unexpectedly spacious, nearly one hundred square meters.

Furrowing his brows, William glanced around and entered the room. Soon, he spotted two men engaged in a fierce fight at the center of the crowd, each with a group of supporters behind them, looking eager for a win.

And there was Fiona, sitting by the side, cheering loudly.

"Whoever wins, I promise to be his girlfriend," Fiona said, seemingly amused by the fighting spectacle.

William approached her from behind, tapped her shoulder and whispered, "Fiona, what are you doing?"

Fiona turned around. She was relieved to see William. "William, you finally came! Get me out of here! These people want to get me, but I devised a plan to keep them busy fighting."

William was speechless. This girl really knew how to cause trouble. It would've been fine if she had come to the bar alone, but she managed to instigate a fight between two groups for her own amusement. Nonetheless, this little troublemaker was quite clever.

"Let's go then!" William took hold of Fiona's hand and quietly led her away.

Fortunately, at this moment, the attention of the two groups was focused on the ongoing fight in the center, and they had not noticed Fiona being taken away.

However, just as William was about to open the door and leave, they were finally discovered.

"Stop fighting, that girl ran away!" someone shouted. All the fighters immediately ceased their brawl and started chasing after Fiona.

"Run!" William's expression changed, and he quickly pulled Fiona toward the exit.

Descending from the second floor and running toward the entrance, they soon reached the crowded street. They thought they would be safe once they were out on the street, but little did they know that there were people already waiting for them outside.

There were about a dozen people blocking William and Fiona at the entrance, effectively trapping them.

"You've really done it this time." William gasped for breath. He was surprised that those men had already arranged people at the entrance to intercept them.

"I'm sorry, William!" Fiona finally started feeling a little scared.

"So, you dare to run?" Two groups of people came out from the Shack Bar. One of the men among them arrogantly shouted at Fiona and William who were cornered.

"They will play you to death!" another man yelled angrily.

The two groups had been fighting each other for the sake of Fiona, but now they ended up following a poor person. It was difficult for them to accept it. They felt like they had been fooled.

The two groups combined had around fifty to sixty people. How could William defeat them alone?

"It seems like we need to call for reinforcements." William furrowed his brow and immediately took out his phone, planning to call Antony for help. He would just have to buy time. However, as soon as he took out his phone, a clear and melodious voice came from outside the crowd.

"They are my friends, can you let them go?" A sexy and glamorous woman walked out from the crowd.
