Chapter 121 An Unusual Invitation to a Party
Fiona clenched her teeth and gave William a spiteful glare, begrudgingly going to pour water for him.
Seeing this, Sophia couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Indeed, like attracts like. This little devil has finally encountered someone who can discipline her."
Sophia was actually quite happy to see this. Fiona was born into a wealthy and noble family. She was the youngest daughter of the family, spoiled to the point of being lawless. If someone could guide her, it wouldn't be a bad thing to prevent her from causing a major disaster in the future.
"After I leave in a few days, you can stay in this villa," Sophia said to Fiona after thinking for a moment.
"Okay, but tell me, does he really have the ability to sign artists?" Fiona couldn't quite believe it. This poor man actually had the authority to sign artists.
"Of course! Trust me, follow his lead!" Sophia persuaded Fiona kindly.
"Alright!" Fiona reluctantly agreed, but deep down, she was still hesitant about accepting William. She only compromised because of her dream of becoming a big star.
Two days later, at the New York airport, William personally bid farewell to Sophia and Kylie, as they were heading to prepare for their upcoming concert.
Before parting, Sophia pulled William aside and earnestly entrusted him, "William, Fiona is in your hands now. I believe you will be able to discipline this little monster."
After two days of brief observation, Sophia realized that only William could handle this unruly little monster! Moreover, William didn't seem interested in Fiona, which made Sophia feel reassured about leaving Fiona under his care.
"Don't worry! I will teach her to behave!" William sighed. He had been quite frustrated with this little monster for the past two days, but he still nodded.
"Then I'm off! Remember to come and see my concert in three months. If you've trained Fiona well, I can invite you to sing with me on stage!" Sophia said with a coquettish smile.
"I'm also looking forward to singing on stage with you." William smiled. Although he wasn't very familiar with Sophia's songs, the idea of performing with her on stage was still appealing.
"Also, if you need me to participate in the second season, second episode of 'Wilderness Life,' you can contact me in advance and I will arrange my schedule accordingly." Sophia remembered this, after all, she had signed a contract for a total of eight episodes in the second season.
"Well, I will inform you before the shooting starts." William nodded. The response to Sophia's participation in "Wilderness Life" on Instagram was quite enthusiastic, so he had to strike while the iron was hot to challenge the prime-time viewership ratings.
"If possible, could you arrange for Fiona to participate in the second episode of 'Wilderness Life' with me?" Sophia made a rare plea.
"Of course. If you have any conditions, you can discuss them with me, including financial matters." William smiled. It seemed that Sophia had a good relationship with him, and he was considering letting Fiona join the show.
Sophia's intentions were good, otherwise she wouldn't have pleaded with him, but he still responded politely.
"Let's see how she performs!" Sophia nodded, a hint of gratitude flashing in her eyes, then waved goodbye to William.
Soon, boarding for the flight began, and William watched as Sophia disappeared from his sight, feeling a mixture of emotions.
After a month together, he still hadn't revealed his true identity to her.
"William, Cousin Sophia is gone. Why are you still looking at her?" Fiona noticed that William's gaze was still fixed on Sophia's figure, teasing him playfully.
"When we get back, clean my room first. From now on, you'll be responsible for all the household chores except cooking." William turned to her with a smile.
"Why should I do all the chores while you only cook?" Fiona was angry. In the past, she wasn't allowed to do any household chores at home. But now, she was expected to do them outside. She was not accustomed to such manual labor.
"If you don't want to do it, then leave now. And don't dream of becoming a big star." William walked ahead without even looking at her.
"You, you, William… You're bullying me!" Fiona stomped her foot in frustration. Why did she have to encounter such an uninterested man? He was so difficult to handle. Yet, he was the producer of "Wilderness Life," and she had to beg him to participate in the show.
Fiona felt like she had met her lifetime rival!
Back at Ring Villa, William comfortably sat on the sofa and started giving her orders. "Get me an apple!"
"There are no apples at home." Fiona held her mouth shut, expressing her displeasure.
"If there are none at home, can't you go buy one outside? Hurry up!" William said with a smile.
"You want me to buy it? Why should I? If you want to eat it, go buy it yourself." Fiona was very unwilling.
"The second season of 'Wilderness Life' will start filming in a month..." William's voice trailed off, and Fiona immediately responded.
"I'll go buy it. Just wait." Saying that, Fiona ran out like a gust of wind.
Watching Fiona run out to buy the apple, a slight smile formed on William's lips.
Just as he was thinking about that, William's phone suddenly rang. It was Michelle, whom he hadn't seen in a long time, so he quickly answered the call.
"William, the mayor is hosting a cocktail party tomorrow. I happen to have two invitations. Would you like to come? I heard there will be some competitions to select this year's top ten outstanding youth," Michelle said on the other end of the line, with a hint of anticipation.
Firstly, she hadn't seen William in a month and missed him, so she wanted to find an opportunity to meet him. Secondly, all the guests at this cocktail party hosted by the mayor were important people.
The young talents in the city could help William expand his network and lay the foundation for his future development.
"Sure, I'll stay a while longer with you," William immediately agreed without hesitation. He wasn't particularly interested in this kind of social event, but it had been a month since he last spent time with Michelle.
Honestly, he felt guilty and thought it would be a good opportunity to spend more time with her.
"Then I'll wait for you at home tomorrow!" Michelle couldn't help but feel delighted when William agreed.
After hanging up the phone, William thought for a moment and contacted Wendy. Since he was going to attend this social event, it was only natural to have a good understanding of it.
