Chapter 349 Retreat
In the past few days, William had been training continuously as he noticed a change in his lower abdomen. After the influx of super energy, it began to swirl and form a nebulous shape, rotating on its own.
What made William uneasy was that every time he trained and created new super energy, it automatically entered his lower abdomen. However, it became difficult for him to use the super energy from his lower abdomen. The nebula formed by the super energy only allowed the energy to enter, not escape.
This greatly reduced William's strength in the short term, and the situation was getting worse.
"Why does it form a nebulous shape? I need to find a solution quickly." William frowned, unable to figure out the reason. He had almost worn out the book he was studying, but still couldn't find the answer.
"It seems I need to go to Ocean Guild and ask someone." William realized that he couldn't find the answer by himself. He could only seek help from the experts in Ocean Guild who had gone through systematic training. They might know something about this situation.
With this thought in mind, William chose a night when Michelle and Julia were sleeping and quietly snuck out of the Coral Tower.
Following the mountain path, he climbed up until he reached a large iron gate. William took out a key from his pocket, given to him by Arianna before she left. As the master of Ocean Guild, he naturally had the freedom to come and go as he pleased.
Guided by his memory, William continued his way up and soon arrived at Ocean Guild.
As he approached the entrance of Ocean Guild, a figure appeared.
A figure leaped out from the darkness and appeared in front of him. Bowing, it greeted, "Greetings, master." It was Hadley, a guard of the Ocean Guild. Just like Arianna, he was loyal to the guild.
"Hadley, among the people who stayed behind, who has the strongest power?" William asked calmly.
"That would be Fitch. Although his strength is not as great as Ryan's, he has received valuable guidance from the Master," Hadley informed him.
"Good. Fetch Fitch and have him come to the hall to see me. I have some questions for him," William said, leaving those words behind as he pushed open the door and made his way directly to the hall, waiting for Fitch to arrive.
After about ten minutes, Fitch, who was in his forties, silently stepped into the Ocean Guild Hall. As soon as he saw William, he immediately bowed and respectfully said, "Master, may I ask what urgent matter has led to this late-night summons?"
"It's actually not a big issue, I just wanted to ask you some questions regarding training," William humbly inquired.
"Please go ahead," Fitch replied, once again performing a bow. However, he couldn't help but feel some confusion. William's strength far exceeded his own, so why would he seek advice from him?
"Recently, when I train, the super energy that returns to my lower abdomen forms a nebula-like shape. Furthermore, this super energy only goes in and doesn't come out, affecting my strength. Do you happen to know what the situation is?" William honestly revealed.
Upon hearing this, Fitch was both shocked and excited. "Master, you're about to break through to the Silver Level."
"Silver Level?" William wore a puzzled expression, causing Fitch to feel speechless. He possessed such tremendous strength, yet he seemed to have no understanding of the fundamental knowledge of training. Fitch wondered how he had achieved such power.
"Yes, the nebula formed in your lower abdomen will gradually condense into a sphere. Once it is complete, you will officially step into the Silver Level. Only one out of every ten million individuals become a Silver Level expert, and the founder of the Ocean Guild was a Silver Level expert. Once you break through to the Silver Level, Ryan will no longer be your opponent," Fitch explained with excitement.
Fitch was thrilled by William's extraordinary talent. "Is that so? What do I need to do next?" William asked, realizing that there was a realm beyond the Grandmaster level, the Silver Level.
"Before your strength breaks through to the Silver Level, all the energy in your body will gather in your lower abdomen and you will be unable to use it. So, this period of time is when you are most vulnerable, even an average Grandmaster-level expert could easily kill you," Fitch solemnly cautioned.
"I see, just as you say..."
"I feel like I can't use my superpower at the moment," William nodded and responded.
"So now you need to focus on seclusion and let us protect you. When you break through to the Silver Level, it will be a great accomplishment," Fitch couldn't conceal his excitement.
"Seclusion?" William furrowed his brows. Given his current situation, seclusion was the best choice. Otherwise, once all the superpower in his body was absorbed by his lower abdomen, he would become an ordinary person without any superpower. If he were to encounter a master-level expert, it would undoubtedly be a fatal situation.
"How long will I need to seclude myself?" William asked with concern.
"It could be as short as ten days or as long as ten years. It depends on personal comprehension and opportunities," Fitch paused, then continued, "The Founding Ancestor of the Ocean Guild secluded himself for a full two years when he broke through to the Silver Level."
"That long?" William felt speechless for a moment. He felt a bit torn, but soon he made a decision. He would seclude himself, but before that, he needed to arrange everything he was worried about. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to seclude himself in peace.
"Fitch, after I seclude myself, send Waverly to protect the two girls in the villa on the mountain slope, Julia and Michelle. No matter what happens, they must be protected at all costs," William was most worried about Michelle!
"Yes, master. Is there anything else you need to instruct?" Fitch asked earnestly.
"Secure the Ocean Guild, and if Ryan comes to attack again, hold the line until I come out of seclusion," William was still concerned that Ryan might bring people to attack while he was in seclusion. If that were the case, it would be very dangerous for all of them.
"We will defend it with our lives until you come out," Fitch suddenly kneeled on one knee and solemnly swore.
"Well, I trust you. Also, put the bear's paw and various supplements for superpower, such as wild fruits and spiritual water, in the hall. I will come back tomorrow morning," William wanted to use the spiritual fruits here to quickly break through to the Silver Level.
"Don't worry, master, we will ensure the task is completed," Fitch nodded.
William nodded. Before secluding himself, he wanted to take one last look at Michelle.
After arranging everything properly, William returned to the villa halfway up the mountain from the Ocean Guild.
At around 5 o'clock in the morning, William knocked on Michelle's door. At this time, she had a sleepy and confused look on her face.
"William, why are you up so early? It's only five o'clock."
"I want to take you to see the sunrise. I heard that watching the sunrise from this halfway point of the mountain has a unique scenery," William affectionately touched Michelle's head.
"Really? Then let me change clothes. Wait for me downstairs."
Upon hearing that William wanted to take her to see the sunrise, Michelle's drowsiness vanished.
Michelle quickly changed into warmer clothes, and William carried her on his back as they climbed up to the rooftop of the villa. They sat together, watching as the eastern sky gradually brightened with a unique charm.
"It's truly beautiful," Michelle instinctively leaned her head on William's shoulder, radiating happiness. Watching the sunrise with the person she loved was the most wonderful thing in the world, in her opinion.
Instinctively, William embraced her and softly spoke, "I'll be going on a trip in a few days. During this time, don't go back to work, stay in this villa. Additionally, I'll send someone named Waverly to protect you. Listen to her when it comes to your safety."
"Where are you going again?" Michelle suddenly lifted her head, wearing a reluctant expression.
"It's both near and far. Just listen to me and don't go down the mountain. Remember that," William's biggest worry was Michelle being captured by Ryan and his group. He was in seclusion and couldn't rescue them in the meantime.
"Okay, but this time, it won't be another month, right?" Michelle complained slightly.
"I'll come back as soon as I finish. I promise!" William said, lowering his head to give Michelle a kiss. After a slight tremble, they embraced each other and shared a passionate kiss.
When the warm rays of dawn spread across the mountains, William had already disappeared from the villa. Michelle gazed at the misty mountaintop, eagerly anticipating William's return.
