Chapter 162 Can't Lose, Must Win
After leaving the mall, William packed all the Chanel cosmetics into his car. The rear seat and trunk were almost full, but there were still many left.
Helpless, William had to ask the mall staff to transport the remaining cosmetics back to Ring Villa using a van.
When William and Kayla returned to the villa, Fiona had already finished work and was sitting on the sofa, bored, playing with her phone.
"Fiona, we're back!" Kayla walked in, holding that set of Chanel's twelve-color velvet lip gloss.
"You finally came back! I've been so bored waiting for you," Fiona turned her head and saw Kayla, quickly putting down her phone.
"I brought you a gift," Kayla said, handing the set of Chanel's twelve-color velvet lip gloss to Fiona. "Do you like it?"
"Oh my god, this is the hottest lip gloss lately. I love it, of course I love it! You're so kind to me!" Fiona happily hugged Kayla, her face full of excitement.
Then she saw William walking in and deliberately raised her voice to mock him, "Unlike someone, Kayla treats me well. They only see me as a maid, bossing me around, making me do household chores, even asking me to wash his dirty socks. It's so infuriating!"
"Don't get angry. This time, I bought you a gift too," William knew Fiona was saying this to him on purpose and couldn't help but grin.
"Just you buying me a gift? If you let me do less housework, then I'd be lucky," Fiona didn't believe William would buy her a gift. She already hated him, the one who only exploited her.
"Fiona..."
"This time William didn't lie to you. He really bought you a gift, and there are many of them. If you don't believe me, go outside and take a look," Kayla couldn't help but speak up for William.
"Really? Is he so generous?" Fiona stood up from the couch, accompanying William outside. They saw the car filled to the brim with Chanel cosmetics, including eyeshadow, lipstick, concealer, face masks, and everything else, a complete collection of Chanel cosmetics.
"There are too many! Did William buy all of these?" Fiona couldn't believe it. Has William gone mad? He bought so many Chanel cosmetics all at once. It's like he moved the entire store here!
William smiled and didn't explain to her. Instead, he turned to Kayla and said, "Kayla, you should pick some too. All the cosmetics in the car are for both of you."
"All for us? Then I won't be polite!" Kayla said and walked over to choose. Girls have no resistance to these high-end cosmetics.
While Kayla and Fiona were picking, another van drove in. It was also loaded with Chanel cosmetics. William had actually moved all the cosmetics from that Chanel boutique.
Seeing that the van was also filled with Chanel cosmetics, Fiona was speechless with surprise! William seemed truly crazy today! But she liked it. From now on, she would have an endless supply of cosmetics.
"Mr. Brown, where should we put these cosmetics?" the driver of the van asked when he got down and came to William.
"Put them in the house!" William thought of sending some to Michelle and also to Wendy and Sharon. Especially Sharon, he would take her to the North District tomorrow to participate in the gambling match.
Whether they can win tomorrow's match depends entirely on Sharon.
In the evening, after William finished dinner and planned to go out, it caught Kayla's attention.
"William, are you going out so late?"
"With so many cosmetics, I'll give some to Michelle," William casually replied without much thought.
"Are you coming back tonight?"
"No, you don't have to wait for me. Rest early! I'll come over in the morning to take you to the North District." William thought that he would just sleep in Oak Bay tonight. Tomorrow, he could directly bring Sharon back, saving himself a trip.
However, Kayla felt a bit jealous hearing this.
"Oh, you are giving her so many cosmetics. She will surely be over the moon. I bet she will want to repay you," Kayla said, a hint of jealousy in her voice.
Speaking of it, Kayla couldn't help but feel unhappy and even a little annoyed at the thought of William possibly sleeping with Michelle tonight. In fact, Kayla herself wasn't quite sure why she felt angry when she heard that William was going to see Michelle and spend the night with her.

William had also been missing Michelle for several days, so he was longing to see her too. After a while of affectionate gestures, they finally spoke.
"I brought you some cosmetics, so you won't have to buy these things yourself in the future."
Leading Michelle to the car, William opened the car door, revealing a trunk full of Chanel cosmetics. Michelle's mouth dropped open in surprise when she saw it.
"Is all of this for me?" she asked.
"Yes, there's more in the trunk," William said, opening the trunk to reveal it also filled with various Chanel cosmetics, once again shocking Michelle.
"William, why did you buy so many cosmetics? And they're all Chanel. This must have cost a lot of money!" Michelle exclaimed, surprised but deeply touched and delighted. She didn't expect that William had been keeping her in his heart all this time!
"It's not that expensive. I received a bonus, and you won't be able to use them all, so you can give some to your aunt or your best friends. " William said, while moving all the cosmetics out of the car, leaving only a few sets prepared for Wendy and Sharon.
Michelle also didn't just stand by, quickly moving to help and bringing all the cosmetics into the house.
"William, have some water!" Michelle handed William a bottle of water and brought a towel to personally wipe the sweat off his forehead. Her movements were gentle, and her eyes were filled with the image of William.
"Where are your parents?" William asked instinctively, noticing the quietness in the villa.
"They went to my grandfather's place to discuss the investment plan for the new company. They are busy with their own affairs during the day and gather at my grandfather's place in the evening to discuss the planning and investment of the new company in the Bay Area. They always come back after arguing."
Michelle sighed, not knowing what they were arguing about.
"Really? They must be exhausted." William didn't expect Michelle's grandfather to attach so much importance to the investment and planning in the Bay Area. It seemed that his vision was extraordinary. By making thorough plans and preparations now, it would certainly benefit future generations. He was securing a better future for his descendants.
While William and Michelle were chatting, Katharine and Noad returned. However, their faces looked gloomy, and they started arguing before even entering the house.
"Why should we all contribute one billion dollars and yet Big Brother gets 20% of the shares, while Third Brother also gets 20%? Master clearly favors them and bullies us just because we don't have sons!"
Katharine almost shouted as she entered the house.
"You should stop complaining. Doesn't my sister also have 10% of the shares? Besides, there's still 40% of the shares left. We still have a chance in the future." Noad, though feeling unhappy, couldn't argue with the fact that Master was the decision-maker.
"Master clearly favors males over females. As for the remaining 40% of the shares, it depends on who contributes more or invests more in the future. Don't assume it will be kept for you. Don't be foolish." Katharine concluded and soon noticed there was an extra person in the room.
"William, why have you come so late?" Katharine was surprised to see William appearing in their mansion at such a late hour, while Noad wore an eager expression as he had not seen William at their house for a long time.
"William, you finally came to see Michelle. She has been missing you so much. Oh, by the way, do you want to have a late night snack? I can order takeout for you."
Saying that, Noad took out his phone to order food. They had been coming back late these days, and when they got hungry, they would order takeout, so it had become a habit.
"I came to bring you some cosmetics." William pointed to the Chanel cosmetics all over the floor. Katharine then noticed that half of the room was filled with Chanel cosmetics. After a brief surprise, she burst into laughter.
"William is thoughtful. Lately, I have been staying up late, and my face has aged a lot. It's time to replenish moisture with a face mask." Saying that, she hurriedly went to choose moisturizing cosmetics and face masks.
Meanwhile, Noad, after ordering a lot of takeout on his phone, quietly called William aside.
"William, I don't have much money lately. The company's funds have been used to build hotels in the East District.
"In the new company that Grandfather built, the investment that is shared with me amounts to one billion US dollars. I currently don't have that investment available; can I borrow it from you for now?"
"No problem, I'll give you two billion US dollars. Can I have a larger stake in the new company?"
William just heard them talking earlier that Master reserved 40% of the shares, intending to provide additional investment and contributions to those involved. So, he thought of helping Noad secure a larger stake in the new company.
"Two billion US dollars." Noad took a sharp breath. It seemed that William was indeed wealthy. With such a rich son-in-law, he wouldn't have to worry about not being successful. He felt instantly excited and grateful, "With these two billion US dollars, I can secure at least 15% of the shares in the new company. I'm forever grateful to you, William as my son-in-law."
"15% is too little. How much more investment can be secured at most?" William was not satisfied with this share percentage, as it was too small. Plus, he had great faith in Michelle's grandfather's newly established company and wanted to have a stake in it as well.
"Within the remaining 40% of the shares, it should be possible to secure 20% through additional investments. However, this would require at least four billion US dollars of additional investment, in addition to the one billion I originally needed to contribute. So, altogether, at least five billion US dollars would be needed." Noad carefully calculated and said with a serious expression.
"Alright, I will contribute five billion US dollars. This way, you can secure 30% of the shares in the new company, and you won't need to repay me this five billion. The extra 20% of the shares will be considered my investment, but you will temporarily hold them. Once the new company stabilizes, they will be transferred to my name. Uncle, what do you think of this arrangement?"
Upon hearing this, Noad contemplated for a moment but quickly became excited. Although the additional 20% of shares would be held by William, it would be in his name after all. This would give him greater influence in the new company!
Even if they were transferred later on, Noad didn't think Master would object. After all, William was Michelle's boyfriend and not an outsider.
Big Brother and Third Brother had already taken 10% of the shares unjustly, solely because they had sons. This had long irritated Noad!
Now that he had the opportunity to one-up them, Noad naturally wouldn't refuse, especially since he wouldn't have to repay the one billion he contributed. Essentially, he didn't spend a penny but secured 30% of the shares in the new company.
"Alright, I think this arrangement is excellent. I'll follow your suggestion," Noad said, feeling excited. William was truly remarkable. He could casually produce five billion US dollars. He needed to remind his daughter to hold onto him tightly and not let other women snatch him away.
Shortly after, Noad's late-night takeaway arrived, and William happened to be hungry. He had a little to eat with Noad.
It was almost midnight when William left Michelle's house and returned to Oak Bay.
It had been a while since he last came, and William was starting to miss this home.
But he would only spend one night here. He was used to the sandy beaches and the luxury of Oak Bay.
After sending the message, William slept comfortably in his own big bed, and it was the soundest sleep he had in the past few days. The next day morning, William finally woke up. Wendy had already prepared breakfast, while Sharon was practicing boxing.
"Sir, you're awake, breakfast is ready for you!" Wendy, still obedient and well-behaved, was happy to see William back.
"Home is still the best! Having Wendy cook breakfast for me," William said with emotion. Although he didn't have to do household chores while staying at Ring Villa, he still had to cook his own meals every day, which was not an easy task.
While having breakfast, William called Sharon over.
"Sharon, you're coming with me to the North district later. I want you to help me win a few boxing matches, and if you succeed, I'll reward you generously," William said with a serious expression.
"Okay, Sir!" Sharon nodded earnestly and replied.
William was very satisfied with Sharon. The underground boxing arena they were about to go to would surely attract many influential figures from the three major families in the North district. Vincent's bet was just the beginning, and what was important was that William intended to use this as an entry point to officially get involved in the North district's business circle.
