Chapter 196 Two More Skilled Individuals
Escorted by security, William successfully returned to Steve's office. He changed back into his regular clothes, removing the wristwatch and white mask from his face, returning to his ordinary self.
"It's more comfortable to wear this," William changed back into his t-shirt and peeked outside the office, seeing that there was no one in the corridor. He quickly ran out.
When he returned to the reception hall, he was pleasantly surprised to see the business owners were already queuing up to sign the agreement to join the chamber of commerce. There were at least five to six hundred companies here, and if they all joined, the number of companies would greatly surpass the CC Alliance established by the Watson family.
William believed that it wouldn't take long for the CC Alliance to collapse. If the Watson family didn't want to go bankrupt, they would have to come and beg him.
As for those beautiful waitresses, most of them had already dispersed. However, they couldn't help but envy Elisa. After all, she had just received attention from Mr. Brown.
Her fall had attracted Mr. Brown's attention and he even gave Elisa his suit jacket. If they had known that; they too would have fallen, it would have caught Mr. Brown's attention!
What they didn't know was that if it had been someone else who fell, William might not have gone to help.
At this moment, Elisa had already returned to Michelle's side, her eyes filled with affection, and she was still wearing Mr. Brown's black suit jacket.
"Elisa, is this jacket really given to you by Mr. Brown?" Michelle couldn't help but ask curiously. She wanted to know what had happened between them, as there were too many people just now, and Michelle wasn't able to properly see what had happened between them through the crowd.
"Well, my foot got tripped up by my skirt, and there were so many people pushing around. Then I fell to the ground, and it was very difficult for me to get up. I even got stepped on several times. Just when I was desperate, Mr. Brown appeared. His voice was so pleasant, and while helping me up, he also kindly put a coat on me. He's really thoughtful!"
As Elisa spoke, her face couldn't help but turn red again!
"You're not falling for him, are you?" This was the first time Michelle saw Elisa looking shy and timid!
"Maybe this is fate! Michelle, Mr. Brown is the prince charming I've been waiting for!" Elisa didn't argue but directly admitted that she had fallen for Mr. Brown when he helped her up and put the coat on her.
From childhood until now, Elisa had never experienced this kind of heartbeat, and it was truly wonderful! It turns out that truly falling in love with someone happens in an instant.
"No way, you haven't even seen his face. What if he's ugly?" Michelle opened her mouth, surprised.
"Regardless of whether he's ugly or not, Mr. Brown is the prince charming I've been looking for." Elisa, it seemed was becoming somewhat infatuated.
"Well, you have quite a competition ahead of you!" Michelle sighed and glanced at the beautiful waitresses in the reception hall, secretly relieved that she didn't fall for such a top-tier wealthy second generation. Otherwise, she would have to compete with so many beautiful women for one man, and just thinking about it felt overwhelming.
"I believe I will meet Mr. Brown again." Elisa touched the black suit draped on her and imagined the scene of Mr. Brown helping her up, causing her face to blush again.
While they were chatting, William passed through the crowd and finally found them.
"Michelle, is the reception over?" William asked knowingly.
"Not yet. My dad is still waiting to sign the chamber of commerce agreement." Michelle said disappointedly.
William nodded, then noticed Elisa's expression and peace. ‘Things have changed a bit' he thought.
‘She tripped and got stepped on just now, yet she looks so quiet' so he couldn't help but ask concernedly, 'Elisa, what happened? Are you feeling unwell?'"
Elisa didn't react immediately, but Michelle next to her giggled and said, "She's not feeling unwell at all, she's fallen for Mr. Brown."
"What, what? She likes Mr. Brown? The one from just now?" William looked bewildered. How could Elisa suddenly develop feelings for him?
"Well, you don't know. Elisa tripped earlier, no one helped her, and she even got stepped on a few times. Then Mr. Brown saw it and went over to help her up. He even considerately gave her his black jacket. Any girl would probably fall for him," Michelle gossiped.
"Just because he helped her up, Elisa likes him now?" William was somewhat speechless. How desperate for a man is Elisa, that she can like someone just because he helped her? Or could it be that she likes Mr. Brown's background?
"Well, maybe it's fate!" Michelle said, intimately linking her arm with William's. In her eyes, William was the one destined for her.
William sighed. Looking at Elisa's state, she might indeed have developed feelings for Mr. Brown. But she's also Michelle's good friend. If she finds out that he is Mr. Brown, the situation won't end well. William silently made up his mind to let time fade Elisa's memories.
After the party, William received some good news. Sharon, who went back to Brazil to visit her master, had returned and was already at Crown Villa, bringing two people with her.
This made William very delighted. The people Sharon brought must be experts, how could William not be excited? After saying goodbye to Michelle and the others, he drove straight to Crown Villa.
In Crown Villa, there were indeed two unfamiliar people. One was petite and adorable, exuding a youthful and lively aura. She seemed young, around eighteen or nineteen. The other person appeared to be around thirty, with slightly dark skin and a strong gaze.
The two of them were wearing white training outfits, clearly having just come down from the mountains.
At this moment, the two of them were curiously examining the valuable antiques and paintings in the mansion, touching this and looking at that, repeatedly exclaiming in astonishment.
"Your young master's residence is so extravagant! This house must be worth a lot!" Aurora exclaimed, while holding a blue and white porcelain vase in her hands.
"I heard it's worth more than 20 million dollars," Sharon replied after thinking for a moment.
"
"What? Over 20 million dollars?" Aurora was startled, and her grip on the porcelain vase slipped, causing it to fall from her hands.
As it was about to hit the ground, the man next to her effortlessly caught the falling vase, his reflexes incredibly quick.
"Thank goodness for my quick eyes and hands. Otherwise, if this blue and white porcelain vase had broken, I wouldn't be able to compensate you even if I sold you," the man admonished Aurora, placing the vase back in its original position.
Meanwhile, William entered through the door, catching Sharon and the others' attention. They hurriedly went over to greet him.
"This is the young master I am responsible for protecting," Sharon briefly introduced her two companions, then gestured towards Aurora to introduce her to William.
"Sir, this is Aurora, my master's ninth disciple," Sharon said while pointing at Aurora.
"And this is Hunter, among us, he's the strongest. Furthermore, my master has instructed that he has agreed to invest in and open a martial arts dojo with you. However, he can't come here temporarily, so Hunter will temporarily assume the position of headmaster," Sharon continued.
"Very good, very good," William nodded in satisfaction. Sharon's trip to Brazil was indeed fruitful, not only bringing back two experts but also successfully negotiating the project to open a martial arts dojo, which surprised him.
"Tomorrow, I will take you to buy some suitable clothes, and then we'll choose a location to open the dojo," William said with a slight smirk. With the dojo, he could openly train his experts.
Although the underground fighting arena could also train experts, it was ultimately a gray industry and easily subject to crackdowns from higher authorities. A martial arts dojo, on the other hand, was different. It was recognized by the authorities, just like the Watson family's security company, allowing him to openly train his own people.
Moreover, with systematic martial arts training, their skills would improve faster, which would also help expedite the growth of his influence.
"Thank you, Sir," Hunter said, feeling somewhat uncomfortable.
In the evening, William had Wendy prepare a sumptuous dinner to welcome Hunter and Aurora.
Meanwhile, in the VIP meeting room of the Watson family, a tense evening meeting was taking place. In attendance were Rodrigo Manuel, Jack, Norman, and Dorian.
A total of five people, unlike the cheerful dining and drinking of their previous gatherings, this time their faces were noticeably grim, and the atmosphere felt heavy.
"According to the reports from my embedded spies, Antony has officially formed the WE ARE Chamber. Steve from the YJ Club and Mr. Parker are both siding with him,"
"Mr. Brown also stood on his side," Rodrigo said, his face darkened with a frown, full of worry. This was definitely not good news.
"Gathering everyone here so late, I wanted to discuss with you all how we should respond to the WE ARE Chamber," Rodrigo continued. They weren't going to give up so easily; they still had cards to play, and who would win or lose was still uncertain at this stage.
"I've seen the measures WE ARE has taken against us, and almost all of them specifically target us. It's impossible to win by directly confronting them," Jack said, his brow furrowed.
"Indeed, Antony is truly cunning. If this trend continues, within a few days, CC Alliance members will shift to Antony's side in large numbers. The key is Mr. Parker announcing the cancellation of our business agreement, which no longer binds the members below," Norman sighed. In just a few days, the situation had completely reversed.
The group fell into deep thought, and it was Manuel who finally broke the silence.
"At the moment, we only have one way to turn the tables," Manuel said.
"What way?" everyone focused their gaze on Manuel.
"The Watson family still has a security team of five hundred people. We can design a plan to assassinate Antony, the chairman," Manuel's eyes gleamed with cold light as he spoke. His bold approach startled the others.
"That doesn't seem right! It's not going to be easy to take him down, and if we make a mistake, it will be troublesome," Jack voiced his fear.
"We're now facing a life or death situation. If we don't take action, our families will face bankruptcy!" Manuel's words were not meant to frighten them. Except for Dorian, all the other families' industries were in New York. Once the WE ARE Chamber excluded them, their groups would lose their partners. Within a month, they would go bankrupt and close down.
Rodrigo hesitated, but Dorian was the first to respond.
"I fully agree. You go after Antony, and I'll find a way to trap William! It's about time we settle our accounts," Dorian said. Originally, Dorian wanted to rely on the power of these three families to suppress the Power Group and force them to return the industries they had taken from the Walsh family. But now, it seemed that these three families were useless, and he could only rely on himself.
Coincidentally, his father had found an expert for him. He would target William!
