Chapter 294 A Great Transformation Begins
Mr. Davis suddenly felt a prick on his neck, and it hurt a bit.
As he reached up to touch it, he was astonished to find a toothpick stuck in his neck. His head started to spin.
Peter and Lawrence, who were sitting next to him, immediately stood up to assist Mr. Davis, their expressions tense.
"Mr. Davis, what happened?"
"The old man tried to harm me." Mr. Davis pulled out the toothpick and suddenly found it difficult to breathe, his face turning pale rapidly.
"You bastard, how dare you assassinate Mr. Davis! You're dead!" Peter drew a long knife and lunged at Beauvoir.
Meanwhile, Lawrence protected Mr. Davis and retreated to the back, while William, seeing that Mr. Davis hadn't died, understood that the dosage was not enough. He swiftly flicked the toothpick, which had been contaminated with the nerve-paralyzing substance, toward them. The toothpick whizzed through the air, hitting Mr. Davis squarely in the face.
"Mr. Davis, Mr. Davis! Are you alright?" Lawrence panicked as he saw Mr. Davis's face turn paler by the moment. He quickly retreated and called for assistance, "Kill them!"
Immediately, four to five security guards in the private room brandished their stun batons and rushed toward William and his companions, a fierce killing intent surrounding them.
"Haha, call more people over!" Beauvoir jumped on the table, and with a gust of wind, he punched Peter, causing him to fly and hit the wall, leaving a dent on the surface with tremendous force.
Peter slid down the wall and passed out on the ground.
William swiftly took down the approaching security guards, while Howard cleanly disposed of the others.
"Lawrence took Mr. Davis out!" Howard knew Lawrence. After dealing with a few people in the private room, he quickly led the pursuit. However, Beauvoir was one step ahead and caught up with him first.
William approached the unconscious Peter, took the knife from his hand, and swiftly ended him with a single strike.
As they chased outside, they saw several security guards with stun batons coming for them.
"Kill them for me!" Lawrence supported Mr. Davis and quickly headed toward the elevator. He glanced at Mr. Davis leaning against him; his breathing was already rapid, and his lips started turning purple, indicating signs of suffocation.
"Mr. Davis, hold on, I'll take you to the hospital immediately!" Lawrence shouted desperately.
Mr. Davis moved his lips, as if trying to say something, but ultimately failed to speak. His hands then fell weakly, and his body stiffened. He died without even closing his eyes, a testament to his unwillingness.
A dominant figure fell, and there would be no Mr. Davis in the East district anymore.
"Sir!" Lawrence was instantly overcome with grief, but his anger burned within him. He took out his phone and dialed the security desk, shouting with a fierce expression on his face. "All security guards, come to the 18th floor!"
After hanging up, he activated the alarm on the wall. It was Mr. Davis's security alarm, designed to quickly alert everyone in case of trouble.
Hearing the alarm, William furrowed his brow slightly.
"We can't push forward anymore. We just need to guard the stairwell and elevator. Reinforcements will arrive soon. We just have to hold on for an hour."
While speaking, William sent a message to Lillian, Jeffrey, and Baca. They had long been waiting outside the hotel.
Including the skilled martial artists led by Nolan from the Green Box Guild and the students from the Bevery Club, a total of 300 to 400 people, their imposing presence shook the heavens.
At this moment, there were many security guards in the corridor, but they were no match for William and the others. Within a few breaths, they were all brought down.
"Beauvoir, don't let Lawrence escape!"
William saw Lawrence running toward the elevator and grew anxious. With Lawrence around, the security guards would listen to his commands.
"Don't worry, he won't get away!" Beauvoir took a few strides and quickly caught up to Lawrence, who was taken aback by his speed.
"You bastard!" Beauvoir threw a punch, and Lawrence clenched his fists in an attempt to defend himself. However, he was no match for the power of the Inch Punch and was immediately sent flying, crashing into the wall and leaving a deep dent.
Lawrence coughed and spat out a mouthful of blood. Despite his trembling and unsteady state, he managed to stand up and run toward the staircase.
"Trying to escape?" Beauvoir grabbed an electric baton from one of the security guards and skillfully threw it at Lawrence using dart techniques.
Lawrence didn't even have time to react before the baton hit the back of his head, causing him to collapse to the ground, convulsing a few times before dying.
At this moment, many security guards rushed up from the staircase but were single-handedly held off by Beauvoir.
William and Howard caught up shortly after and witnessed Mr. Davis lying on the ground.
"Mr. Davis is dead." William kicked him and felt relieved, as his body had stiffened. This risky endeavor to kill Mr. Davis was not in vain.
Howard, however, felt a mix of emotions and shock. Mr. Davis, who had reigned over the East district for over a decade, a name that sent shivers down people's spines, was actually killed by this seemingly inconspicuous young man standing beside him. It was beyond his imagination.
"The East district will undergo major changes from now on," Howard remarked, taking an electric baton from one of the security guards and clearing the surrounding guards.
Yet, more security guards kept pouring out of the staircase, both from upstairs and downstairs, nearly crowding the entrance. Meanwhile, the elevator was rendered useless as a dead body was blocking the doors.
William, Howard, and Beauvoir had no trouble guarding the staircase. Each time a guard emerged, they swiftly took them down with a single move.
As time went on, the other guards hesitated and dared not approach. These three individuals, covered in blood, were truly terrifying.
Seeing their fear, William suddenly had an idea. His gaze landed on Mr. Davis's corpse, and he walked over to lift it up.
Then, he walked to the staircase and shouted loudly at the guards, "Mr. Davis is dead. From now on, I will take over here. Double the salary for all employees. If you believe in me, drop your weapons. If you want to avenge Mr. Davis, then continue to advance and come to your death."
William's eyes were red as he roared at them.
The security guards were all frozen. Mr. Davis, who they saw as invincible, had died just like that. If they hadn't witnessed it with their own eyes, they wouldn't have believed it.
"If you want revenge for Mr. Davis, come and die. A large group of experts has already rushed up to support us. If you don't surrender, prepare to die!" After a pause, William continued, making a promise.
"The first one to lay down their weapons and surrender will be rewarded with a hundred thousand dollars. The second to fiftieth surrenderers will be rewarded with fifty thousand dollars. Those of you who surrender to me will have your salaries doubled."
William decided to use money as a weapon, and Howard, watching from the side, was dumbfounded. William's billionaire-like generosity truly amazed him once again.
However, the effect was astonishing. Finally, someone who feared death laid down their weapon at the entrance of the stairs, followed quickly by the second, third, fourth...
Seeing this, William finally breathed a sigh of relief. From now on, the East district would be his territory.
