Chapter 341 The Arrival of the Fiancée's Father

Lionel's sudden death took William by surprise, but he had obtained the answers he sought and had become the new master of Ocean Guild in the process. From ascending the mountain to becoming the master of Ocean Guild all in one day, the unpredictability of life became apparent to him. William helped Arianna and the other Ocean Guild students bury Lionel's body in the mountains behind the guild. It was his favorite place to visit, so it seemed fitting for him to rest there. Arianna and the other students were deeply saddened, having had a strong emotional connection to Lionel.

"Arianna, please accept my condolences. Lionel wouldn't want to see you all in such despair," William comforted her, gently patting her fragile shoulder.

"Since childhood, I have been an orphan. Lionel was the one who brought me up the mountain and raised me. He was not just a Master; he was more like a father to me," Arianna sobbed, leaning against William's shoulder, unable to hold back her tears as memories flooded her mind.

"Enough crying now. I will avenge Lionel," William said with determination, gently patting Arianna's back.

"Yes, we must seek justice for master and fulfill his wish to revive Ocean Guild," Arianna said, wiping away her tears and trying to strengthen her resolve.

"We will. Lionel's wishes will be fulfilled," William assured her, wiping away her tears with his hand. Suddenly, Arianna blushed and lowered her head, only then did William realize the inappropriateness of his action.

He immediately bowed towards Lionel's grave, considering it a promise to fulfill.

After dealing with Lionel's body in the mountains, it was already dawn. The sun's rays pierced through the thin mist, shining upon them, signaling the start of a new day.

The main hall of Ocean Guild had been tidied up, now clean and orderly. William gathered the remaining students of Ocean Guild, including Arianna. In total, there were eight people, all grandmasters, five men and three women.

Having this many grandmasters would make any sect proud of their martial arts prowess, but for Ocean Guild, it was a result of their decline.

During Ocean Guild's glory days, there were at least thirty grandmasters. The Sky and The Earth were renowned throughout the country, their martial arts prowess commanding respect even from prestigious families on the rankings.

"Which one of you will be in charge of The Sky's tasks?" William stood

In the hall, after scanning the crowd, he began to ask his question.

As soon as he finished speaking, a man and a woman stepped forward and replied.

"Master, Waverly and I are responsible for The Sky's work."

William looked over and saw a man in his forties named Brayden. He was slightly overweight, and the woman, Waverly, appeared to be younger, but with an average appearance and in her thirties.

"You both can tell me about the current situation of The Sky," William said, as his main concern was The Sky. If it could monitor both prestigious families and martial arts clans, then it must possess exceptional capabilities. Utilizing The Sky effectively would be a powerful asset.

"At present, The Sky has more than 20,000 spies infiltrated within various prestigious families and martial arts clans. Over half of the domestic prestigious families have our people, including those on the top ten ranking list. Additionally, more than half of the boxing schools have our spies. Currently, I am in charge of managing these personnel," Brayden explained briefly about The Sky's distribution of personnel.

After Brayden finished his introduction, Waverly, who was standing next to him, continued the conversation.

"The Sky's information is mostly transmitted through the internet. Every day, we receive over fifty thousand pieces of information, and it is my responsibility to screen and filter out all the useless information, leaving only the useful ones," Waverly explained.

Upon hearing this, William's eyes lit up. Receiving so much information every day was quite intriguing to him. He immediately became interested and asked questions.

"Where can I see the information that has been screened and selected?" William was eager to know what the prestigious families were up to on a daily basis.

"Please wait, Master. Let me fetch something for you," Waverly excused herself and went to her room. She returned with an electronic tablet similar to an iPad and handed it to William to continue explaining.

"This is a specialized electronic tablet used for sending and receiving information. It contains classified records of various families and schools of boxing, including many secrets unknown to the public," Waverly said.

Curious, William took the electronic tablet and turned it on. It displayed numerous families and martial arts schools, overwhelming him with the amount of information.

"There's so much! How can one possibly keep up with all this?" William couldn't help but feel a headache coming on. He quickly called Waverly over and handed the tablet back to her, saying, "Please retrieve the information on Canada's Smith family for me."

William believed it was best to let the professionals handle the operations. He preferred to use his words to give instructions instead of personally searching for and reviewing the information.

"Please wait, Master!" Waverly took the tablet and began searching and browsing for a while before finding the desired information.

"The information on the Smith family is here, Master."

William nodded and carefully examined it. The records contained trivial matters about the members of the Smith family, but it was through these trivial matters that much could be inferred.

For example, the eldest son of the Smith family, Kapa, had a secretive relationship with the Graham family, while Terry, the second son and Sophia's father, had closer ties to the Brown family. As for the third son, Quentin, he had a closer relationship with the Hamilton family in Canada.

From this information, it could be seen that although the Smith family ranked ninth among the domestic families, there was significant internal division among the three sons, with each having their own support from other powerful forces.

Fortunately, Master Smith was still alive, and he had good relations with several boxing schools, which allowed him to keep his three sons in check to some extent.

William casually browsed through the information on the Smith family, and suddenly one piece of information caught his attention.

"Terry actually went to Long Island." William was somewhat surprised, judging by the time displayed on the information, it was yesterday afternoon.

With a half-day flight from Canada to Long Island, that meant Terry had already arrived in Long Island after spending the night, possibly even at Garden Villa.

"It seems Kylie invited him over. This is bad, I need to go back quickly, otherwise Sophia might be taken away by her father."

William seemed to have realized something very important. After returning the electronic tablet to Waverly, he turned to them and said,

"You all have your own responsibilities. I have an important matter to attend to down the mountain. If Ryan comes up the mountain again, give me a call. As for other matters, we'll discuss them when I come back."

As he spoke, William walked out of the hall on his own. Arianna followed and asked,

"William, where are you going?"

"I'm going to Garden Villa. I'll be back soon!" William's voice faded as he walked away.
