Chapter 104 It's Time to Take Action
The first night in the virgin forest passed peacefully. Julian seemed to have no urgency in making a move against William. He was perhaps waiting for Jack to gather more information.
As the sky brightened, William emerged from his tent, stretched lazily, and took a deep breath. He couldn't help but notice how much fresher the air was in the mountains compared to the city, although there were a lot of mosquitoes.
The female celebrities, including Sophia, had all slept in their cars after finishing their scenes in the tents last night. William found it amusing, but he couldn't blame them. After all, who could bear getting bitten by mosquitoes?
"Cousin, there were some figures moving around us last night. It should be Jack and the others," Sharon, who had been on duty outside without much rest, reported.
Although there were ten security guards rotating around the perimeter at night, William had asked Sharon to monitor the surroundings attentively.
"Hmm, if they're not approaching, we don't need to worry about them for now," William thought for a moment and said.
No information came from Louis, which meant that Julian hadn't planned to take action against them yet. All William had to do now was wait. If the enemy didn't move, he wouldn't move either. But once they did, he would strike them down.
As the day grew brighter, the crew members resumed their filming and recording.
It was Sophia's first time shooting in the wild mountains. She should have been uncomfortable, but she seemed to enjoy this kind of life, except for the mosquitoes.
Early in the morning, she took a sharpened bamboo stick and went to the stream on the mountain to catch fish. The cameraman followed her to capture the scene, which was not originally in the script but was a spontaneous decision by Sophia.
Many idle crew members were also curious and ran over to watch Sophia catch fish. William couldn't help but smile when he saw this. It seemed that Sophia had been bored in the villa, but she became a curious child once she was let out, wanting to try everything.
But this kept the cameramen busy, lugging heavy cameras and following Sophia to film along the way.
They played all day long. Sophia was finally exhausted, lying in the car without wanting to move.
Kylie was massaging her legs and couldn't help but complain, "What if your father sees you playing like this? Who knows what he'll think? You're ruining your ladylike image."
"He won't say anything! I've never played like this before in my entire life. Didn't you see that I caught two fish?" Sophia proudly said, feeling accomplished.
"Did you really catch those fish? The crew members watched you for half an hour without catching a single one.
"I can't stand it anymore. I helped dump a basket full of fish upstream, and you only managed to catch two fish! Yet, here you are, feeling so pleased with yourself," Kylie teased jokingly.
"Well, at least I caught those two fish," Sophia bragged a little.
Dumping over twenty fish just to catch two, the crew really went all out to make Sophia happy!
However, in the following days, Sophia's interest in playing slowly faded away as she started filming according to the script.
At the same time, after observing for several nights, Jack finally gathered some useful information and hurriedly ran to meet Julian with joy. "Julian, I have investigated William and his team's movements."
"Well done. Tell me what you found." Julian sat inside an extremely large tent, enjoying massages and service from his female colleagues, eating fruits, and appearing like a wealthy young man traveling for leisure.
"Inside William's team, they have ten security guards rotating to maintain the perimeter's safety. It might be difficult to attack them head-on. However, after observing for a few nights, I discovered that William goes outside to use the toilet at midnight. We can take advantage of that opportunity and ambush him."
Jack couldn't wait to get revenge on William and pay him back for publicly humiliating him before.
"Not bad. Have you found out where Sophia is staying?" Julian now cared about Sophia as well, probably more than he cared about William.
"She and her manager stay overnight in the last van at the foot of the mountain. It's easy to find." Jack had naturally observed Sophia's movements in detail. Julian had clearly instructed him, so there was no way he would forget.
"She stays in the van at the foot of the mountain at night?" A cold sneer flashed across Julian's lips. With fewer people around at the foot of the mountain, it was a perfect place for him to use force. It's like a gift from heaven.
"Tonight, we'll take action. Call Louis!" Julian prepared to make a move. Seeing this, Jack was even more delighted. Finally, the day had come.
"Alright, I'll go call Louis immediately!" After acknowledging, Jack went downstairs and brought the chubby Louis in. When Julian saw him, he immediately gave him orders.
"At night, you and your team will follow Jack to stake out William. When he goes out to pee at midnight, seize the opportunity to disable his hands and feet for me. Be careful not to attract attention from others. Also, give me two of your subordinates. I have a use for them."
Julian quickly solidified the thoughts in his mind, instructing Jack and Louis to disable William while he and his two subordinates went to find Sophia. As for Sophia's aunt, Julian didn't care at all. Being in the wilderness, he had gotten much bolder.
"Okay, I'll get ready right away!" Louis nodded after receiving the orders.
Louis nodded and thought to himself that he needed to quickly inform Mr. Brown later.
"You can go!" Julian dismissed Louis, and a cold smile appeared on his lips. "If you dare to hit me, you will pay the price! But it's not bad to have Sophia as a gift."
Meanwhile, William was watching a few celebrities, including Sophia, who were recording a program. Suddenly, he received a message from Louis and instinctively opened it. A slight smile appeared on his lips. "Julian can't resist attacking me anymore. It's good. I'll teach him a lesson tonight."
He then called Sharon over.
"Is the acquisition contract I asked you to prepare ready?" William intended to teach him a profound lesson and turn him into a poor man overnight.
But he remembered that Julian had acquired a portion of CY Entertainment's shares. If he could acquire them back, Jack would have to leave again. Thinking about this, William felt the idea was quite good.
"It's ready. Wendy has already sent someone to deliver the acquisition contract," Sharon confirmed.
"Great. Tonight, you'll sleep in the car with Sophia. There will be someone attacking us at midnight, so protect Sophia and be careful yourself." As a precaution, William assigned Sharon to Sophia. With her around, Julian would probably be beaten up again.
