Chapter 403 Reuniting You with Your Father
Early in the morning at Kings University, a Maserati appeared at the school entrance, and William stepped out of the car. His main purpose for coming this time was to see Sophia and Rebecca.
The second step of the plan he devised with Vivian was to unite as many allies as possible to trap the Campbell family. After all, relying solely on the BN Group was still too weak in terms of power.
After some discussion, William contacted the Smith family, the Hamilton family, and the Hughes family. As for the other families, Vivian and Peter were responsible for reaching out to them.
The grand plan of collaboration and alliance was quietly unfolding.
After speaking with Sophia on the phone, William learned that they were in Classroom B302. He quickly rushed over after hanging up.
When he arrived, class was still in session, so William had to wait for them in the corridor on the third floor.
Bored, he glanced around and happened to see a slender and beautiful figure coming out of the restroom.
"Isn't that Rebecca?" William was pleasantly surprised to see this beauty emerge from the restroom. He was actually looking for her and immediately walked towards her.
Today, Rebecca was wearing a red split dress that perfectly showcased her attractive figure.
Indeed, she was one of Canada's four beauties, but for William, who was used to beauties such as his girlfriend Michelle and his fiancée Sophia, she didn't hold much appeal.
Whether it was Michelle or Sophia, they were both stunning. Compared to their extraordinary beauty, seeing Rebecca was quite ordinary.
"Rebecca, do you still recognize me?" William greeted her as he approached.
"Why should I know you, a poor person?" Rebecca looked William up and down with her chest held high, like an arrogant swan.
"We met at the freshman orientation," William reminded her.
"Oh? I don't remember. You're not trying to pursue me, are you? Let me advise you, give up on that idea. A poor person like you could chase after me for a hundred years and still not get me." Rebecca looked at William's shabby appearance with a hint of disdain on her face.
"I'm not trying to pursue you. I just wanted to tell you that your father isn't dead." William found her words both amusing and exasperating, but he could understand why she thought this way. Perhaps she was used to being pursued by men in the past.
"My father isn't dead? How do you know my father went missing?" Rebecca's eyebrows furrowed slightly, and a sense of caution crept into her heart.
"You don't need to know how I found out. Let me take you to see your father now!" William blurted out, hoping to reunite the father and daughter as soon as possible.
However, Rebecca didn't trust William. She even saw him as a bad person trying to deceive her.
"Why should I believe you? What if you want to deceive and kidnap me?" Rebecca looked at William with a wary expression.
"How can I make you believe me then?"
"I won't believe you. A poor person who has no money but still wants to play tricks on me." Rebecca's doubt remained strong.
"I've seen plenty of people like you. Hurry up and get out of my way," Rebecca didn't trust William, and she was getting angry.
William was stunned. He didn't expect Rebecca to have such mistrust towards him. Feeling quite helpless, he reached for his phone, intending to call Donald and let him explain to Rebecca personally.
However, at that moment, a well-dressed young man quickly approached them, concern etched on his face. He asked, "What's wrong, Rebecca? Are there more flies bothering you?"
While speaking, his eyes danced with mockery as he looked William up and down, noting how cheaply dressed he was.
"A poor man like you, trying to fabricate things about my father to deceive me, how naive," Rebecca said playfully.
"So that's it. Leave it to me," Kadis sneered. He was pursuing Rebecca, and how could he allow a poor man to compete with him? He then spoke to William in a threatening tone, "I suggest you stay away from Rebecca. Otherwise, you'll have a gruesome death. Have you heard of the Canada Willow family?"
"The Canadian Willow family? Of course I've heard of it. They are the eighth-ranked family in the country. Which heir in the Willow family's hierarchy are you?" William's lips curled into a slight smile. He had already familiarized himself with the power and family information of Canada before coming here, so he was well aware of this eighth ranked Willow family.
"Hah, you do have some insight. Never mind which heir I am in the Willow family. Let me tell you, a poor person like you is no match. Get lost," Kadis shouted angrily.
"Let me think. Kadis, you must be from a collateral branch of the Willow family!" William smiled slightly. The Willow family had numerous descendants, including several collateral branches.
William recalled that Kadis's name was not among the direct descendants of the Willow family, so he guessed that the young man in front of him was from a collateral branch.
"How do you know?" Kadis was slightly surprised for a moment, but quickly caught on. He didn't want to lose face in front of his goddess, so he shouted, "Never mind whether it's a direct or collateral branch. If you don't leave, I won't be so gracious to you."
"I'm not leaving. Let's see how ungracious you can be to me," William said with mocking smile.
"Fine, I know people from the Flood Boxing Guild. If you don't leave, I'll have them deal with you," Kadis took out his phone, ready to call for help.
"People from the Flood Boxing Guild?" William was about to stop him from wasting his time, then thought better of it. He decided to leave the young man to continue on and see where it leads.
He thought this could lead to some entertainment.
"Yes? Are you scared? Let me tell you, the Flood Boxing Guild is one of the most powerful martial arts sects in Canada, and they are all experts," Kadis boasted.
After hearing that the Flood Boxing Guild had destroyed the Das Guild, Kadis intentionally formed a relationship with a small leader in the Flood Boxing Guild, thinking that it could add to his strength. To his relief; it came in handy now.
"I'm not afraid, I'm just afraid that you will be begging for mercy on your knees later," William said with a faint smile.
"Begging for mercy? You must be dreaming. If you dare, come down here. The people I called will be here soon," Kadis shouted again after hanging up the phone. He knew it was not wise to cause trouble in this building, hence it would be easier to handle things downstairs.
"Of course, if you're afraid, then hurry up and get out of here, the farther away from Rebecca, the better for you," he added.
"Sorry, today I am here to take Rebecca away. Let the father and daughter meet again. It doesn't matter who tries to stop me. But just to make you give up, I will accompany you downstairs!" William said calmly.
"You, a poor man, are still trying to deceive me with your cruel lies. When the people come, see how they deal with you," Rebecca was angry at William for repeatedly using her father in an attempt to deceive her.
Her father's disappearance already saddened her, but William fabricated a story about her father to deceive her, making her even angrier.
William sighed; Rebecca was really stubborn.
