Chapter 179 The Final Battle
Meanwhile, on the first floor; the people Antony and Baca brought with them had managed to subdue all of the fifty plus subordinates of Diego. They either cowered in the corner or lay on the ground; moaning, completely devoid of any ability to resist.
Diego brought the remaining fifty people down, ready to confront Antony, Baca, and their group.
"Diego, we meet again!" Baca, recognizing Diego, greeted him with a cold smile.
"Baca, you're quite impressive now." Diego glanced at the more than one hundred Black Fist members behind Baca and taunted. Secretly though; he felt somewhat envious and jealous.
If it were up to him, Baca wouldn't have the chance to lead this Black Fist team! Unfortunately, he chose the wrong person and stood on the wrong side, resulting in this now awkward situation.
"Diego, things have changed in the North District. Paul is no longer worth sacrificing yourself for. Come back to the Black Fist arena! Mr. Brown will offer you a high salary." Baca tried to persuade Diego.
"Who can say for sure until the end? Spare me the nonsense, you piece of trash. Come at me together then!" Diego was not one to submit to someone like William and spoke confidently, exuding an aura of dominance.
In the North District; Diego was considered the top expert! Even Baca had been defeated by him before, so his confidence was justified.
Just as William descended the stairs, he heard Diego's arrogant words and smiled to himself.
"Diego, you're truly arrogant!"
William's words instantly caught the attention of everyone present. Antony, upon hearing it, breathed a sigh of relief and immediately led his men to greet William.
"Mr. Brown, are you alright?"
Alarmed by the number of people around, Antony quickly changed his tone. Levi, Baca, and even Sharon all stepped forward, protecting William.
"I'm fine. It's impossible for these people to capture me!" William smiled.
"William, you finally showed up!" Diego's eyes were about to burst into flames upon seeing William. He had come here to capture him.
"Sorry it was so difficult for you to find me, but now I've come out on my own. If you have the skills, come and get me!" William calmly said. The situation had completely turned around now, and even if Diego's martial arts were outstanding, it would be impossible for him to fight against two to three hundred people alone.
Moreover, Sharon; whose martial arts skills matched his own, was also present. Diego knew he had no chance of winning.
As he glanced at the numerous experts guarding William, especially Sharon, he hesitated as he realized he stood no chance. In the end, he gave up.
"William, you're lucky this time. We're leaving." His eyes scanned the scene before leaving.
Resigned to the fact that he couldn't win, Diego started retreating, but he was stopped by William.
"What's the rush? You came all this way, why leave in such a hurry? Didn't you say we should go together before? Why are you acting all cowardly now?" William spoke while instructing Antony and the others to surround Diego's remaining fifty men.
"William, what do you mean by this? I was planning to let you go, what else do you want?" Diego shouted angrily.
"Since it was you who suggested we go together, I won't hold back now!" William's eyes turned cold, and he shouted loudly back.
"Sharon, I leave Diego to you. The rest of you, take care of his subordinates."
As soon as his words were spoken, both the black-boxers and Levi's subordinates started beating Diego's men mercilessly.
Diego's sinister and ominous face was full of anger, but before he could react, Sharon; with a gust of wind, kicked towards him, Diego's quick reflexes kicked in; shouting loudly and throwing a punch towards the incoming kick.
As their foot and fist collided, a dull sound could be heard. The tremendous force of the impact caused both Sharon and Diego to take several steps back. It was clear that these two opponents were well matched.
"Indeed, very strong. It's extremely rare for a woman to possess such power!" Diego said as he took off his shirt, revealing his strong muscles and robust body. He was ready to fight.
Sharon removed the weights attached to her feet. The punch just now made her realize the strength and power of Diego. She knew she had to give it her all to defeat him.
William was surprised when he saw this. Diego actually caused Sharon to remove the weights. It was evident that his strength was indeed extraordinary.
After both sides removed their weights, they immediately resumed their battle. Sharon mainly used her leg techniques to attack, complemented by the mystique of jujitsu. However, Diego seemed to possess innate strength, frequently resolving all of Sharon's attacks with just one punch. His strength was truly terrifying!
William secretly marveled at this. Diego's true strength was evident since he had managed to become the number one in the black boxing arena.
However, during the course of the fight, Sharon seemed to have discovered Diego's weakness. Instead of engaging him in an upper-body fight, she focused on attacking his lower body.
Sharon attacked Diego's lower body, almost skimming the ground. Indeed, Diego gradually couldn't withstand it. His leg techniques were poor, and his leg strength couldn't compare to Sharon's. Gradually, he started to fall behind.
As this fight continued; Diego's remaining subordinates could be seen scattered around defeated and subdued by Baca and Levi's men. They either surrendered and crouched in a corner, or lay on the ground, wailing in pain.
In just over ten minutes, they were all thoroughly dealt with except for Diego; the last man fighting.
"You can't beat me," Sharon said calmly after they separated.
"Stop bragging. I am the top expert in the North district. Only after you defeat me can you say that," Diego replied, unwilling to admit defeat to a woman due to his pride.
"Hmph." Sharon snorted coldly and immediately launched a leg attack at his lower body again. Diego's fists couldn't reach Sharon's low attacks, so he had to counter with his legs. However, this time Sharon did not hold back.
With a kick, sweeping across 180 degrees, Diego barely managed to avoid it. Sharon suddenly used her hands to support herself on the ground, forcefully twisting her body and sweeping her leg again.
Diego was shocked. He never expected Sharon to have such a trick up her sleeve. Caught off guard, he was swept off his feet.
The onlookers were stunned, amazed by Sharon's leg techniques and unpredictable moves. They had never seen such variations before; nobody could have escaped it.
While Diego was still trying to figure out what happened, Sharon leaped up from the ground and struck his chest forcefully with her elbow. He let out an agonizing groan, struggling to stand up, but Sharon grabbed his arm and twisted it forcefully, breaking it instantly.
"Ah!" Diego screamed in pain. Unwilling to accept defeat, he took out a small knife from his waist with his other hand and stabbed towards Sharon at an awkward angle.
At this moment, Diego no longer cared about his dignity; all that mattered was his own life.
"Be careful, Sharon!" William shouted in alarm, sweating profusely.
Sharon rolled on the ground just in time to dodge the surprise attack.
"You're seeking death." Sharon was furious that he dared to ambush her. However, Diego took advantage of Sharon's roll and stood up again, holding the knife in his hand, panting heavily, but still wearing a determined look on his face.
"Come on, I won't lose."
After Sharon let out a tender shout, she attacked again, but this time she aimed at his upper body instead of his lower body. With his injured arm, Diego's offensive power decreased significantly, so there was no need for Sharon to target his lower body anymore.
Although Diego could still defend himself with the small knife despite having only one functioning arm, it was impossible for him to launch an attack.
The spectators were dazzled by the ongoing battle between Sharon and Diego; two highly skilled experts.
However, guarding for a long time will eventually make one lose. Sharon kicked the small knife out of Diego's hand, sending it flying, and immediately followed up with a series of swift kicks, fast and elusive. Diego's vision blurred as he struggled to defend with only one hand.
In an instant, Sharon kicked directly into his chest, sending him flying several meters away.
Diego coughed a few times and tried to stand up, but Sharon didn't give him a chance. She swiftly got up and stomped on his other arm.
A loud crack echoed as his other arm was rendered useless, leaving Diego writhing in pain on the ground.
"Sharon, that's enough," William said, seeing Diego now incapacitated.
The top expert of the North district had been brought down to such a state! William didn't sympathize with him since just an hour ago, this guy had come with people trying to capture him.
"Diego, this is all your own fault. Don't blame anyone else," William coldly addressed him as he approached.
"William, Sir will avenge me. You won't have a good outcome in the North district," Diego, it seemed, still hadn't grasped the current situation of the North district.
Both the Harrison and the Bell family had already surrendered, and the remaining Miller family couldn't resist, especially with Paul's group of black-boxers now under William's control. The Miller family's security force had been rendered powerless as well; they had no chance left.
"Diego, I will make you see the reality," William sneered, then called for Antony. "Get everyone in the car. We're heading straight to the Miller family mansion."
"Mr. Brown, are we going to negotiate directly with Paul?" Antony asked with a hint of confusion.
"Yes, it's time to end this battle in the North district. The Miller family has no backing now, and it's the perfect time for negotiation," William said calmly, having made up his mind to seize the Miller family as well. He couldn't afford to give them a chance for a comeback; otherwise, he might not be as lucky next time.
"That's what I think too," Antony's eyes lit up. It was the weakest moment for Paul and the Miller family right now, and seizing this opportunity to bring them under their control would be the best outcome.
