Chapter 231 Poor People Actually Speak the Truth

The person speaking was none other than William.

He had the platinum card Ralph gave him, which allowed him to consume for free and enjoy priority in any of the Sullivan family's businesses, so he wanted to give it a try.

But as soon as he spoke, several rich kids in the vicinity turned to look at him. They had initially looked at him with curiosity, but upon seeing William dressed in inexpensive clothes, they immediately showed disdain and contempt in their eyes.

"Who are you? Who brought you here?" said the chubby boy Luke, walking over and shouting loudly. Like everyone else, he thought William was a poor person.

"What are you, exactly? This place has been booked privately. Do you really think you can just waltz in here and talk big? Go play somewhere else," said Christopher, the elegantly-dressed young man.

However, when he saw the angelic Michelle by William's side, he was instantly captivated and couldn't tear his gaze away from her.

The others didn't believe William had a way to get in, not even Julia. She pulled him aside and complained to him quietly.

"William, don't embarrass me. MA club is not like those KTVs in your impoverished area. It's not a place where anyone can come and go as they please. Moreover, it's been booked privately today. Don't speak nonsense."

Julia felt somewhat speechless. She regretted bringing this inexperienced person to the club. Now, she was feeling embarrassed in front of her friends.

"But I really have a way to get in," William said calmly.

"You still want to brag? Is that interesting?" Julia was truly infuriated, and she immediately turned to Michelle.

"Michelle, go persuade your poor boyfriend to take back what he said."

"I believe William. In the past, when we were in New York, he would just say one word and get us into all sorts of high-end clubs," Michelle said, showing blind faith in William.

"Oh no! No wonder someone so beautiful would be interested in this poor guy. Turns out he has a problem in his head!" Julia secretly ridiculed Michelle.

"Julia, did you bring these two here? Don't they use their brains before speaking? Can anyone just enter MA club like that? Not to mention that it's been booked privately today," others questioned Julia.

They didn't know William and Michelle, but they recognized Julia, so they had to ask her.

"Don't worry, William is from the impoverished area and hasn't seen much of the world. I'll go persuade him again." Julia was truly on the verge of being infuriated by William. He couldn't say anything sensible and had to be arrogant in front of her friends, making her feel embarrassed.

"Julia, make him leave quickly. Let's go to another club. But that girl next to him... Actually, you can come and play with us if you'd like."

Christopher's gaze stayed fixed on Michelle. He had never seen a girl so beautiful before, but when he noticed that she was constantly leaning toward that poor man, William, he became displeased. He wanted to drive William away and take the opportunity to talk to this beauty.

Julia couldn't find the words to dismiss him; it would greatly hurt William's dignity. Being driven away and leaving his girlfriend behind to play with other men would hurt his self-esteem even more.

"Well, maybe we should just go back. Let's not play today," Julia quickly intervened.

"No, come on. We've already come out. We can go play at other clubs," Christopher, who previously claimed that other clubs weren't fun, now tried to find ways to get to know Michelle.

William frowned, noticing Christopher's constant gaze on Michelle, and realized his ill intentions.

He stepped forward and said, "It's too much trouble to go to another club. We might as well stay here and have fun. If you want to go to another club, go ahead."

William then walked straight toward the entrance of MA Club, leaving Christopher infuriated.

"What makes you, a poor person from a poverty-stricken area, think you can go in? Let's see how you get kicked out later!" Christopher said angrily.

"William, don't go, it's useless. Come back quickly," Julia tried to persuade him.

Other people watched the drama unfold, wanting to see how this poor guy would get kicked out. Among them, only Michelle believed that William could get in.

After the door opened, a client manager came out to drive away William, but William took out his platinum card, leaving the client manager stunned.

"Sir, I need to consult with the general manager. Please wait here." The client manager took the platinum card and went inside to consult.

Meanwhile, William stood outside, while Christopher and his group stood about ten meters away, looking at William as if he were a fool, their eyes filled with mockery.

"He's so stupid, still waiting there like a fool? The manager already rejected him, yet he still wants to stay."

"Don't say that. He's from a poverty-stricken area. He hasn't seen much of the world."

"We don't have time to waste. Let's go, play at another club."

None of them had the patience to wait for William. They all turned around to leave, but just then, the client manager came out again and had a respectful conversation with William. Then William nodded in satisfaction.

Christopher and his group were waiting to laugh at William being kicked out. However, right before Christopher could say anything, he heard William say to Julia, "We can go now. Let's go inside and have fun. They have arranged a VIP room for us."

"What did you say? We can go in now?" Several wealthy young people, including Julia, had an incredulous and shocked look on their faces, thinking that William was lying.

"What are you joking about? Who do you think you are? Just because you said a few words to them, they'll let us in? And you shamelessly claim that they opened a VIP room for us? VIP rooms are not something you can just buy with money, so stop bragging!" Christopher shouted. How could he let himself be humiliated by someone from a poor area?

"Believe it or not, Michelle, let's go in. The whole venue is free for us," William said, grabbing Michelle's hand and heading inside. However, Michelle paused and said to Julia, "Julia, don't just stand there! Let's go inside and have fun!"

"The whole venue is free too?" Julia was even more astonished. How is this possible? The current situation completely exceeded her imagination.

"He's just bluffing. This poor person has no skills but excels at telling lies!" Nobody believed what William said.

"Julia, if you want to be kicked out, go ahead and follow them. It's us who will be embarrassed," Christopher remarked sarcastically when he saw Julia wanting to go in.

"I'll go and test it out for you. What if it's true?" Julia felt torn in the middle, but Michelle and William were her guests after all, so she had to consider their feelings. If they were kicked out, it wouldn't be too embarrassing for them.

"You really believe what that poor person said? We definitely don't want to get kicked out," Christopher mocked again.

However, William ignored them and led Michelle straight to the entrance. The client manager there opened the door for them with a respectful expression and welcomed them in.

Julia was amazed to see William and Michelle actually going in. She then quickly came out and shouted loudly to her wealthy friends, "We can really go in! Hurry up! The VIP room is ready too."

Upon hearing this, Christopher, Luke, and the other wealthy young people were all amazed.

"This person actually told the truth and got in. How... how is that possible?"
