Chapter 159 If I Want You to Beg; You Must Beg

Kayla was puzzled by Mr. Willot's sudden request, even a little suspicious. However, she still agreed to his request, but chose to sign the contract at the Garcia Group.

Kayla was afraid that it was a trick, that he would lure her there under the pretense of signing the contract only to have ulterior motives. So, she chose to go to the Garcia Group, following the proper procedure to prevent Mr. Willot from playing any tricks.

After hanging up the phone, Kayla sat on the sofa and contemplated this decision for a while, but she couldn't figure out the reason behind it. She absolutely couldn't have anticipated...

It was William who had Antony arrange this.

While Kayla was lost in her thoughts, William had already finished cooking the Cardosa Sauce Fried Shrimp Sandwich.

"Kayla, it's ready to eat," William said as he placed the sandwich on the dining table, then prepared to go out to buy mushrooms and other vegetables.

"William, are you going out now?" Kayla asked subconsciously, seeing that William was not having breakfast and still going out.

"Didn't you want to have French mushroom soup? I'll have to go buy the ingredients!" William said and walked out the door.

Seeing William's figure disappear from her sight, Kayla felt touched beyond words. It was the first time a man had treated her so well, and it made her feel warm.

"If only I could spend my life with him!" Kayla suddenly realized that being with William gave her an indescribable sense of happiness, something that she had never experienced in her life before.

At the same time, in the Chairman of the Garcia Group’s office; Norman called in the Director of Human Resources upon his arrival. Today, he intended to dismiss Kayla, the Vice President of Sales.

"Sawyer, did Kayla come to the office today?" Although Norman had always used Kayla, he didn't actually value his illegitimate daughter, so he only let her be a Vice President of Sales. With her abilities and connections, she could easily handle the role of Sales Director or even Assistant General Manager.

"Kayla didn't come to work today," HR Director Sawyer reported honestly.

"Not answering calls and not coming to work... she really thinks she's something special. Well, she can't blame me then," Norman said.

Norman had expected his illegitimate daughter to give an explanation for what happened yesterday. However, she disappeared without a word, disappointing him and making him even more heartless towards her as a father.

"Sawyer, during negotiations with FHH Group yesterday, Kayla caused a serious incident, resulting in significant losses for the company. As a result, the Board of Directors has decided..." Norman had just said this when his assistant and secretary, Penelope, hurriedly burst into his office.

"Mr. Willot from FHH Group personally came to our company, and he said he wants to see Kayla!"

Norman was initially annoyed by the interruption from his secretary, but when he heard that Mr. Willot from FHH Group had come personally, he temporarily suppressed his displeasure.

"He came to our company himself?" Norman couldn't believe it. Just yesterday, Kayla had messed up the contract with this man and even had his bodyguards attacked by William. How could he personally come today?

"Quickly, please bring him in, no, I'll personally go to greet him!" Norman said. He thought that there might still be a chance for cooperation, so he went downstairs to personally welcome Mr. Willot. Meanwhile, in the VIP lounge on the first floor, anxiety filled the air. They had meetings with the Thompson Group yesterday, and today, one with FHH Group.

After the collaboration with the Garcia Group fell apart, he didn't mind much. After all, there were more than just them; the Garcia Group, who could provide fabric, leather, and plush supplies in New York.

Little did he expect that as soon as he returned to his company, Antony, the bigwig of the Power Group, personally called him, demanding that the collaboration with the Garcia Group continue. Furthermore, the person who would sign the contract had to be Kayla, and they had to kneel down while signing the contract. Otherwise, the Power Group would withdraw their investment from the FHH Group.

This was urgent. The Power Group held a 55% stake in the FHH Group, making them the largest shareholder. If they withdrew their investment, it would be equivalent to forcing the FHH Group into bankruptcy. Although kneeling down to sign the contract would greatly damage his dignity, he knew that such an action was insignificant compared to bankruptcy.

Furthermore, he had been unable to reach Kayla on the phone last night, which kept him awake all night. Luckily, he managed to get through to Kayla early in the morning. He immediately apologized and arranged the time and location for signing the contract, finally finding some relief.

Just as he was anxiously waiting, Norman personally came to the VIP conference room to greet him.

"Mr. Willot, why did you come in person? You should have informed me in advance, so I could have come to greet you," Norman smiled and greeted him.

"How could I trouble you to personally come and greet me? By the way, is your daughter Kayla here at the company?" He had planned to take advantage of Kayla yesterday, but now he had no such intention. He just wanted to quickly apologize to her and smoothly sign the contract.

"Kayla? She didn't come to work today. Why are you looking for her?" Norman asked in confusion. He really wanted to know why they had come to their company today.

"Of course, it's about the collaboration between our two companies. I was in a hurry yesterday and forgot to sign the contract. So, I came here early this morning to apologize and sign the contract that we didn't finish yesterday," he said, discretely wiping sweat from his brow. He didn't dare to tell Norman the truth.

"Is that so? Why do you have to find Kayla to sign the contract? I can sign it too. Come, let's go upstairs. I still have a bottle of Lafite there. We can drink and sign the contract at the same time."

When Norman heard that they had come to sign the contract, he was delighted. He had already lost hope for this contract. He never expected that they would come voluntarily seeking collaboration. It was truly unexpected.

"Signing with someone else is not the same. This contract must be signed by Kayla herself. Otherwise, I won't agree to cooperate with you," he said without wasting any words, directly naming Kayla and demanding that she sign the contract. Otherwise, he would rather not cooperate.

"Does it have to be signed by Kayla herself?" Norman frowned. What methods did Kayla use yesterday to make him come here and beg for collaboration?

"Absolutely! If Kayla doesn't come, I won't sign." He repeated once again. He couldn't go against Kayla's requirement.

"Alright, you wait here for a moment. I'll go and fetch my daughter," Norman said. He recognized Kayla at this moment, realizing her usefulness. She was his illegitimate daughter, and just a few moments ago he intended to dismiss her immediately, as she was no longer of any use to him. Norman was always driven by his own interests.

Outside the VIP lounge, Norman frowned, showing a puzzled expression. "Kayla is quite resourceful. She actually forced them to come and seek cooperation. I'm finding it harder and harder to understand this illegitimate daughter. It seems keeping her around still has some benefits for the company."

With this thought, Norman temporarily dismissed his plan to dismiss Kayla.

At Ring Villa, William, Kayla, and Fiona had just finished breakfast.

"William, come with me to sign the contract. I'm afraid he'll try something sneaky. Can you accompany me to the Garcia Group?" Kayla had grown reliant on William. With him by her side, she felt there was nothing to fear.

"Well, I just finished the procedures for transferring the shares on behalf of the Power Group," William nodded. He figured Antony had tamed Mr. Willot, otherwise, he wouldn't be pleasing Kayla and asking to sign the contract.

But it was also a good opportunity to visit the Garcia Group and finalize the shares they acquired yesterday. To be safe, William listed the Power Group as the buyer of the shares, so he was representing the Power Group to receive the shares.

"Fiona, before you go to the office, wash the dirty clothes you changed out of last night and sweep the floor," William instructed Fiona before leaving.

"I got it. I know you treat me like a servant," Fiona pouted with an annoyed expression. When she looked at William, her expression seemed like she wanted to devour him. However, because she was so cute, even her anger looked good.

"Alright, Fiona. after work, I'll buy you a gift. I guarantee you'll love it," Kayla comforted her, and Fiona's tears turned into a smile.

"Kayla is always nice to me. You jerk, William, you only know how to bully me."

William laughed helplessly. "I'm disciplining you for your own good!"

Soon, William drove Kayla to the Garcia Group. The car had already been cleaned by the villa service center, so there was no lingering smell fortunately.

On the way, Kayla sat in the passenger seat, appearing quite nervous. She didn't know how her father would treat her once she saw him. He must be angry that she deceived Nathan and took away his shares. Would he first fire her from the company and then kick her out of the Garcia family?

"Don't worry, I'm here. Nothing bad will happen," William reassured with a faint smile.

Seeing William, Kayla inexplicably felt a sense of relief. Yes, with him around, even if she were truly kicked out of the Garcia family, he would take her in.

With this in mind, Kayla's mood instantly improved.

The car stopped steadily at the entrance of the Garcia Group's building. As Kayla emerged, everything remained the same, except that the front desk receptionist approached her as soon as she entered.

"Miss Garcia, Mr. Willot has been waiting for you in the VIP lounge," the receptionist advised her.

"Alright, I'll go over right away. Please inform my father and have him send someone to witness the signing of the contract," Kayla said, wanting to avoid any tricks and take the proper company procedures.

"Mr. Garcia is already in the VIP lounge," the receptionist replied.

"Perfect!" Kayla didn't expect Norman to personally accompany her, which surprised her.

Saying no more, Kayla led William to the VIP lounge on the first floor. As soon as they pushed open the door, they saw Norman engaged in conversation with someone.

Just as Kayla was about to greet him, she noticed the person kneeling in front of her, completely startled. She didn't know how to react, and even Norman seemed bewildered by this sight.

Only William knew why this person had done such a thing, and he could only smile helplessly as it seemed Antony must have been quite frightening when he instructed him.
