Chapter 111 Dare To Fight Me Alone?
Jason and Roy were just ordinary kids who only knew how to indulge in leisurely activities. They were no match for William. He gave them a gentle push, easily pushing them away.
"If you have a problem, come at me. They are my friends, it has nothing to do with them," William said coldly, frowning.
"Now that your cousin isn't here, let's see how arrogant you can be," Jason and Roy said, gaining some confidence as William's cousin was nowhere to be seen.
Besides, they wanted to show off in front of Jovan. Maintaining a good relationship with him would be beneficial for their family's future.
Even if they accidentally injured William, they weren't afraid. Jovan's uncle was in a relevant department. A single word from him would be enough. They might even accuse William and have him end up in jail for a few days.
"Since you want to play the hero, we won't be polite," Jason and Roy said, unwilling to be pushed away by William like this. Both of them swung their fists and aimed for William's face. Jovan seemed to tacitly approve of their actions.
Sometimes, these poor people needed to be taught a lesson. It isn't easy to be a hero, and arrogance comes at a price.
William shook his head. These two guys were even weaker than the thugs from Rack's group yesterday. Yet, they still dared to pick a fight with him, truly overestimating their capabilities.
Using quick and precise kicks, William sent them flying. In the process, he accidentally knocked over some tables in the restaurant, attracting the attention of several customers.
"This person looks a bit ugly, but he fights quite fiercely," some of the onlookers whispered among themselves.
"Bastard, how dare you hit me!" Jason and Roy cursed, trying to stand up after being kicked down by William. They were bitter and unwilling.
"You two don't have to hold back. Even if you kill him, I'll help you handle it," Jovan said coldly.
With these words from him, Jason and Roy no longer had any reservations. They picked up chairs from the restaurant and charged at William again, this time with even more determination.
Sophia and Kylie, who were hiding behind William, shrank back in fear. "William, be careful, they're coming!"
William naturally saw that these two people were clearly intending to kill him with the chairs in hand, so he didn't hold back either.
After furrowing his brows, he took a step forward and swiftly dodged Jason's chair as it came crashing down, then delivered a punch directly to his face. The tremendous force shattered one of his teeth, causing blood to flow from his mouth.
Roy, who caught up from behind, was slightly stunned at the sight but still swung his chair at William. The latter sidestepped just in time, narrowly avoiding the strike, and seized the opportunity to kick Roy in the chest, sending him flying along with the chair.
The impact this time was greater than before, toppling several tables and chairs along the way.
William felt that his combat experience had greatly improved since his encounter with the four small-time thugs yesterday. In addition, these two rich kids were too weak, so William easily took them down in a two-on-one fight.
"Want some more?" William said nonchalantly, his tone carrying a cold air.
Jason and Roy were now writhing on the ground, wailing in pain. They never expected William to be such a skilled fighter; they were completely outmatched.
"Useless trash!" Jovan remarked arrogantly, his excitement growing as he witnessed William's fighting ability. He was a sixth-degree black belt in judo and was confident in his own strength.
Jovan leisurely approached William, displaying a hint of arrogance as he spoke.
"Bastard, interested in playing with me?"
"You?" William assessed Jovan from head to toe. He saw a well-built figure and a composed expression, indicating that he had also undergone training. William happened to be lacking a sparring partner for real combat practice, so he agreed. "What kind of game are we talking about?"
"A one-on-one fight. If you win, I'll give you a million dollars. If you lose, you crawl between my legs. How about it?" Jovan was confident in his own abilities and also wanted to humiliate William. "You want to be a hero, don't you? Fine, I'll let you have your fill, but arrogance comes at a price."
As soon as he finished speaking, the customers who were still watching the commotion couldn't help but express their amazement.
"I recognize that handsome young man. He seems to be Jovan Ashford, one of the Four Great Families of New York."
"Is that so? I've heard that the Ashford family has quite a few members involved in politics. This person will face consequences regardless of winning or losing."
"Yeah, the Ashford family always seeks revenge for the slightest grievance. This poor guy clearly has no money or power but still wants to be a hero. Too arrogant!"
"He's probably going to be unlucky this time."
The words of the onlookers reached William's ears without missing a beat, including Sophia and Kylie. Upon hearing them, they couldn't help but express their concern.
"William, let's leave," Kylie said anxiously. She was worried that William didn't have the money or power to fight Jovan.
"It's okay, don't be afraid." William smiled slightly and protected them behind him.
"I'm ready, Jovan, but I don't want money. If I win, let me choose one of your assets to transfer under my name. If I lose, I will crawl through your legs. How about that?"
William didn't want his money. He had plenty of money, and at the moment, his assets still had room to appreciate.
"Alright, I agree!" Jovan was excited when William agreed. After all, he couldn't win, so it didn't matter if he agreed or not. "This poor man wanted to act arrogantly in front of a beauty, but he'll soon learn the price of arrogance by crawling through my legs," he thought.
Seeing this, Jason and Roy were also secretly excited. They knew Jovan could easily take on several people, so dealing with one poor man would be no problem.
The shop owner, seeing that they were about to fight in his store, hurriedly came out to stop them. "Gentlemen, could you please fight elsewhere? It's not easy for me to do business."
"Shut up!" Jovan directly wrote a check worth a hundred thousand dollars and threw it at him, looking very arrogant and domineering.
"Move these tables and chairs for me. I'm going to teach this poor man a lesson right here," Jovan said as he took off his coat and clothes, revealing his strong muscles. He intended to fight seriously.
As soon as the owner took the money, he immediately smiled and called the waiters to quickly move the tables and chairs, making room for their fight.
William saw this and smiled slightly. "Very good, let him be my sparring partner and earn some benefits along the way."
