Chapter 117 The Fish Has Been Lured Out
Two days later, William received Antony's plan to secretly acquire the Ashford family.
Upon seeing the information about the other shareholders in the Ashford Group, William felt that the time was ripe. "It's time to make a move. However, we need to draw Nina out. Otherwise, Antony's acquisition plans will surely face significant resistance."
Nina was the person who concerned William the most in his deepening understanding of the Ashford Group over the past few days.
Originally, the Ashford Group was just a retail company selling computers and mobile phones. It had not seen much development for over a decade. But ever since Nina, who had studied abroad in the UK, joined the company, the Ashford Group had rapidly grown. In just five years, it had become one of the four great families in New York.
It was evident that this woman was highly capable, and Flying Live was solely managed by her. Within a year of its establishment, it had firmly secured a position among the top five live streaming platforms. Clearly, she possessed great abilities.
"We need to distance her from the Ashford family." William frowned and quickly came up with an idea. He immediately messaged Louis.
The general idea was that they could take action now.
After receiving the message, Louis quickly gathered his team and drove several vans toward Ring Villa.
Half an hour later, William got into Louis's van, and the latter anxiously asked, "Mr. Brown, where are we heading next?"
"Take me to an abandoned factory nearby, and then tell Jovan and the others that I've been captured. Ask them to come and take over." William thought for a moment and continued, "Tie me up and take a photo to show them."
"Tie you up?" Louis hesitated.
"When I tell you to tie me up, just do it. Cover my mouth too. Untie me after taking the photo." William was willing to go all out to lure them in.
He believed that this trick would definitely attract Jovan. He must be holding a grudge after William gave him a beating. Seeing William being captured, he would be eager to come and seek revenge.
As for Nina, William had his ways to fool her into coming.
"Mr. Brown, I apologize for this." Louis picked up a rope inside the van and securely tied up William. He then used duct tape to cover William's mouth. After completing all of this, Louis took a photo of William.
After finishing everything, Louis sent the photo of William being tied up to Jovan.
"All right, I'll untie you right away," Louis said and quickly untied William. He also removed the duct tape from his mouth. Louis did not dare to actually tie up William.
At the same time, Jovan, who was waiting for news in the VIP conference room at the Ashford Group, received a photo from Louis and instantly became overjoyed.
"Lo did it! He caught William, take a look." Excitedly, Jovan raised his phone and showed George and Nina the picture of William being tied up.
"That's great! Lo didn't disappoint us. The money was well spent. Now that he succeeded, we can ask Antony for those three high-quality assets." George laughed, feeling thrilled.
"Will it be that easy? What if it's a trap?" Nina voiced her concerns. After all, how could Antony have not noticed their previous attempts to test him through the recorded video?
"If someone is actually tied up, it can't be fake. Alright, I'm going to give William a good lesson and show him what he deserves." Jovan couldn't wait to go and teach this poor man a lesson to avenge the humiliation he had suffered earlier.
"Just give him a small lesson, don't end up killing him," George warned. He didn't want the situation to escalate. Being an average person, all he wanted was to retrieve those three high-quality assets. He didn't dare to completely offend Antony.
"Don't worry, nothing serious will happen," Jovan reassured, ready to leave. However, his phone started ringing again.
It was Lo calling. Jovan didn't dare to neglect it and quickly answered, "Lo, what else is there?"
"William said he admires your cousin Nina and wants to meet her. He also said he can influence High Culture to lean toward the Ashford family." Louis's voice came through the phone, sounding incredibly tempting.
"Influence High Culture?" The three people in the conference room exchanged glances, surprised by this unexpected gain. Suddenly, Jovan seemed to remember something and said, "I recall now, this person seems to be the department manager of High Culture."
"Just a department manager? How could he sway the direction and affiliation of a company?" George found it hard to believe. Nina was also skeptical, but even if there was a slight hope, she was willing to take the risk.
What if that guy had some secret knowledge about High Culture?
It all came down to whether the risk was worth it. Nina's Flying Live development had hit a bottleneck, and if they could leverage the stars under High Culture and promote their programs, the speed of their development would increase significantly.

With these thoughts in mind, Nina was somewhat moved and said, "Tell him that I will go!"
This is the method that William used to convince Nina. She might not be interested in other industries at the moment, but she does care about the entertainment industry. "Nina, if you leave, should I go and talk to Antony about getting back the three assets by myself later?" George said, sounding a bit unsure.

"Mr. Brown, your plan worked. Nina has been lured out. She is now on her way here with that guy Jovan," Louis happily reported to William after hanging up Jovan's call.
"Yeah, her Flying Live has hit a bottleneck. If she can get High Culture, she will grow rapidly, so she definitely couldn't resist this temptation. Even if there's only a one-in-a-million chance, she would still give it a try. Besides, there's nothing to lose even if she fails," William explained with a slight smile.
