Chapter 404 How will you repay me?
Shortly after William, Rebecca, and Kadis came down from the classroom building, several sturdy men with stable auras entered the school grounds.
The leading man was a muscular man with a rough appearance and a full beard, giving him a terrifying look. He was a small leader in the Flood Boxing Guild.
Many passing students avoided them, while Kadis couldn't help but rejoice.
"Bastard, the people I called have arrived. Let's see how you handle the situation now," Kadis taunted, beckoning towards the burly man. "Over here guys!"
With his beckoning, the man immediately walked towards William, followed by his four subordinates, all of them martial arts practitioners with a steady aura and piercing gazes.
"This guy provoked me. Teach him a lesson," Kadis said, pointing at William with a sense of arrogance and false bravery.
Upon following his pointing finger, the man's face suddenly changed. "Mr. Brown."
In the previous battle with Arturo, William's name became well-known in the Guild. Everyone was present that day; so naturally, he knew this incredibly powerful William.
"This is a distinguished guest of the Flood Boxing Guild," the man said, raising his hand and slapping Kadis in the face. The impact made him spin on the spot, leaving him bewildered. Rebecca, who was standing beside him, was also shocked by his actions.
In Rebecca's eyes, this loser was simply a poor person from the slums, without money or influence. She couldn't have imagined that the Flood Boxing Guild would treat him with such respect.
"Why are you hitting me? Hit him!" Kadis complained, covering his face with a look of confusion.
"No more nonsense." The man struck Kadis a few more times with backhands and then handed him over to his four subordinates. "Finish him for me."
Without a moment's delay, the four subordinates rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Hearing Kadis' miserable screams, Rebecca's face turned pale with fear.
After dealing with Kadis, the man approached William with a respectful expression.
"Mr. Brown, are you satisfied with how I handled him?" The man secretly wiped the sweat off his forehead. If William were to investigate this further, he would be done for.
"Well, you can go now! Take this guy away, he's troublesome!" William casually dismissed him. Trash like Kadis was not worth his attention.
"Alright, Mr. Brown, I will take him away immediately." The man breathed a sigh of relief, and stalked off with Kadis and his men.
Rebecca, who had witnessed everything, was already in a state of shock. She never expected that the person she saw as a poor man would be so formidable.
Even people from the Flood Boxing Guild treated him with respect, obediently following his orders.
"Okay, now you can come with me!" William turned to Rebecca.
"What's your relationship with the Flood Boxing Guild?" Rebecca asked, her face filled with astonishment.
"The kind of relationship you just saw. Hurry up and get in the car! Your father is eager to see you!" William said as he walked towards the Ferrari parked at the school gate.
"I'm not going." Rebecca still didn't trust William.
After all, her father had been missing for two years, and despite the Hamilton family's extensive search efforts, they couldn't find him. How could William have found him?
"Do I really look that untrustworthy?" William helplessly shook his head and dialed Donald's number, handing the phone to Rebecca.
"Listen for yourself and see if I'm lying to you."
Doubtfully, Rebecca phone waiting for the call to be answered. It wasn't long before she heard the familiar voice on the other end of the phone, and her eyes slightly reddened.
"Dad, is that really you?"
"Rebecca??" Clearly, Donald on the other end of the phone recognized his daughter's voice. Despite not seeing each other for two years, her voice had not changed.
Rebecca became excited, her father really hadn't died, which was great. Rebecca wanted to talk more with her father, but William took the phone back.
"I haven't finished yet. Why did you take the phone back?" Rebecca's eyes were red.
"There are too many people here, not a suitable place for catching up. Come with me, you'll have plenty of time to reunite with your father when we arrive." William said as he walked straight out of the school gates.
This time, Rebecca no longer doubted him and followed William into the car.
During the journey, Rebecca's emotions were a mix of excitement and anticipation. Her father, whom she hadn't seen in two years, reappeared, and she had so much to say.
"Now, do you believe me?" William turned to her while driving.
"How do you know my dad? And why is my father with you? Is he okay?" Rebecca asked a series of questions, overcome with concern.
"That's a long story," William joked while driving, "But I risked my life to rescue your father. How will you thank me?"
"You're not trying to pursue me, are you?" Rebecca asked in a serious tone. But before she could finish her sentence, William interrupted.
"I was joking! Who said I wanted to pursue you?"
Rebecca sighed with relief. She really feared that William would use this opportunity to ask for a favor in return. She had high standards and wouldn't possibly be interested in someone like William, a poor man.
William drove his Ferrari and quickly arrived at Peace Garden. As soon as they entered the villa, Donald appeared in front of them.
Rebecca immediately saw her father, whom she hadn't seen in two years. Though his appearance had changed, his features remained the same. She rushed forward with tear-filled eyes.
"Dad." Rebecca hugged Donald and sobbed.
"Rebecca, I'm so glad to see you." Donald couldn't hold back his emotions either. Two years had passed, and he missed her greatly.
The father and daughter were overjoyed, and William was genuinely happy for them.
"Alright, you two catch up inside. I have to go to the school." William said with a smile. He needed to meet Sophia and use her to meet the chairman of the Smith family.
"William, thank you," Rebecca turned around to thank him.
For the first time, she felt that William wasn't that bad after all.
"I, a poor man, have nothing for you to be grateful for." William's mouth curved slightly upwards.
"I apologize, William. I take back the disrespectful things I said about you earlier. I would like to treat you to dinner tonight!" Rebecca sincerely wanted to thank William.
"No need, I might not be back until late! You two enjoy your time together!" After saying this, William got back into his car.
Stepping on the accelerator, the Ferrari raced away.
