Chapter 153 The Beginning Of A New Era
William was still a little unhappy. "You seem surprisingly calm. Your subordinates outside are about to collapse, yet you can sit here calmly. I must admit, I'm impressed," he replied with a smile.
Yves frowned. Although he already knew that the people outside the door hadn't stopped William, he didn't expect them to be easily defeated by him. Yves had gone from being a thug to a wealthy businessman, and now he felt a bit embarrassed after being easily defeated by a younger person.
"Mr. Brown, you are our guest, so of course I should accommodate you." Yves found a suitable excuse for himself.
"I don't want to waste any more time. I have brought Bund, and I want CH Real Estate. Sign the agreement!" William said, taking out a share transfer agreement from his pocket and throwing it directly in front of Yves.
"What's the rush? Where's Bund?" Yves took out a cigar from his pocket and placed it in his mouth, showing a calm and composed expression. When his black-clad bodyguard saw this, he bent down to light the cigar for Yves.
"He's right downstairs. Once you sign, you can take him away," William said indifferently. While speaking, he took out his phone and connected with Levi downstairs through a video call. He asked Levi to point the camera at Bund, who was tied up in the van.
"How is it? Did I lie to you?" William said, holding his phone's screen at a distance for Yves to glance at.
Yves didn't look happy when he saw Bund injured.
"This is the North district, the territory of the Bell family. You've beaten our people like this, Mr. Brown. Aren't you afraid I'll find someone to take care of you?" Yves took a puff of his cigar and threatened.
"Do you think you have what it takes?" William sat calmly on the chair, unafraid of Yves's threat. If it came to a fight, he could gather people from other areas, and even the Bell family wouldn't be a challenge.
Upon hearing such arrogant words, Yves frowned, feeling that this young man, William, was too arrogant. He needed to teach him a lesson.
Yves, with his status, didn't like being threatened. He coughed softly, and then his black-clad bodyguard took a few steps toward William, his expression unfriendly.
William furrowed his brow. If Yves didn't like someone, he wanted to fight them. That was fine by him. "Sharon." William turned his head to look at Sharon, who had been standing behind him.
"If you want to play, I will play with you until the end, but you will bear the consequences," William said coldly, looking at Yves with icy eyes. It seemed that Yves had crossed a line, and William was prepared to confront him.
"We have to subdue him, otherwise, this will never end." Yves took a puff of his cigar. He truly didn't believe it. This bodyguard of his was a highly skilled professional hired for a million dollars a year. It was rare for him to get involved in any action during this peaceful era. Today presented an opportunity for him to showcase his skills and teach a lesson to William, this young successor.
"You're inviting death!" the bodyguard shouted before launching an attack on Sharon.
In his mind, no matter how strong a woman could be, she could at most be taken down with a few punches. However, to his surprise, this woman was exceptionally formidable.
He threw a powerful punch, with a fierce and chilling momentum, but Sharon easily dodged it. Then, she swiftly spun and delivered a sidekick, causing his tall and robust body to be sent flying, crashing heavily into the wall.
A loud "thud" resonated as the impact made a dent in the wall, causing the wallpaper and plaster to fall. It was evident just how powerful that kick was.
Yves and Harold, standing behind him, were utterly dumbfounded. They never expected this woman to possess such immense strength. The bodyguard was an expert in the underground boxing world, yet he couldn't even last a round against her. It was truly horrifying.
"You have successfully angered me!" The bodyguard seemed unwilling to give up. Struggling to get up from the ground, he lunged at Sharon once again. However, after effortlessly evading his attacks, Sharon made use of a low stance and exerted force, sending him flying once again.
This time, Sharon didn't give him the chance to get back up. She leapt up and forcefully stomped on his leg, snapping it and causing him to scream in pain. Cold sweat streamed down his forehead, and he quickly lost consciousness.
"Now, can we sign?" William's lips curled into a faint smile, thoroughly satisfied with Sharon's performance.
"Mr. Brown indeed possesses exceptional individuals by his side. I admire it," Yves silently marveled. This woman possessed great strength!
As Yves glanced at the unconscious bodyguard on the ground, he couldn't help but feel disappointed. Someone who earned a million dollars a year couldn't even last a few rounds against a woman. It was truly embarrassing.
"Sign the document!" William's lips lifted as he spoke.
With no other choice, Yves reluctantly signed his name on the transfer agreement. From today onwards, CH Real Estate would belong to the Power Group. This also meant that the North district commercial market was no longer under the control of the three families.
"Mr. Brown, don't think that acquiring CH Real Estate will secure your position in the North district. I will show you that outsiders cannot interfere here," Yves muttered these words before leaving with a deep sense of disappointment.
Harold left in a rage, and the collapsed bodyguard didn't bother to care either.
"Finally sorted it out." William sighed in relief when he saw his signature on the contract. From now on, he finally had a place in the business arena of the North district. But to hold onto this place, it seemed that he would have to put in more effort.
"I need to call Antony for a discussion. I can't fight against the joint encirclement of the three families on my own." With this in mind, William immediately dialed Antony's number and asked him to quickly send someone to take over CH Real Estate from the Bell family.
Antony, on the other end of the phone, was shocked for a while when he heard that William had taken over the Bell family's property, but then he excitedly replied, "Wait a moment, I'll personally bring the team over."
"Bring more security personnel. It's not safe here," William reminded him.
"Alright, I'll bring more people." Antony's excited voice came through the phone.
After hanging up, William asked Levi to release Bund and bring his people upstairs to get rid of the collapsed bodyguard.
"Mr. Brown, you're really amazing. CH Real Estate is one of the most profitable properties of the Bell family, and you took it just like that. Even Boss Jones probably couldn't do it," Levi praised William continuously, his eyes filled with admiration. Taking over this company in the business arena of the North district was not solely reliant on strength.
"I'll treat the guys to a meal later, and each of them will receive a hundred thousand dollars. But your contribution will be temporarily noted. When the time comes, I'll reserve a place for you in the North district," William said with a slight smile.
"Thank you, Mr. Brown!" Levi was very excited. If someone else had said this, he might have just brushed it off, but William was clearly extraordinary. He easily took over CH Real Estate, and his strength was truly unfathomable.
After some more time, the North district would likely become William's territory.
In the afternoon, Antony brought a professional team to take over and organize. A large number of security personnel accompanied them for protection.
Meanwhile, William boredly played on his phone in the chairman's office. The chairman's office of CH Real Estate was luxuriously decorated, and it even had a hidden private room with a bed.
At around eight in the evening, Antony found some free time and came to the chairman's office to see William, but his expression was tense.
However, there was a hint of melancholy in the air.
"Sir, Yves has taken the cash flow from CH Real Estate in advance, and there is not a single penny left in the account. We also have a billion-dollar debt loan due," Antony reported.
"This old bastard never gives me a break. Transfer some working capital from the Power Group and make sure we hold onto CH Real Estate. It is currently our only industry in the North District," William said firmly.
"Alright, I will have someone handle it tomorrow," Antony nodded.
William was satisfied with Antony's efficiency. Then, he thought about the Bay Area land auction. He asked Antony, "Antony, I want to participate in the development of the Bay Area, but I don't want to reveal my identity. Do you have any good ideas?"
After thinking for a while, Antony replied, "You can establish your own company, with the Power Group temporarily holding the shares. This way, no one can trace it back to you, and the new company can participate in the development of the Bay Area. Another benefit is that all the industries you have acquired in the past can be consolidated under this company."
When William heard this, his eyes lit up. Antony indeed had a solution that would prevent others from finding out about his wealth while providing a clear understanding of his assets.
"That's a good idea. Help me apply for a company called 'WE ARE,' and transfer all the industries and shares I have acquired before to this company. Also, transfer High Culture to it," William decided. High Culture was an industry he personally favored and naturally wanted to include it in his company.
The name "WE ARE" represented both William and Michelle.
"Alright, but I've heard that the land auction and investment attraction in the Bay Area will be extremely fierce. Wealthy individuals from nearby cities, especially those from Long Island, will also come to participate in the investments. I might be powerless to deal with them," Antony expressed his concerns.
Antony was considered influential in New York, but outside the city, his status was insignificant. However, William was not worried about it. He had money.
"It's not a problem. I'll handle it when the time comes," William said calmly. He didn't think much of those wealthy individuals.
Just the thought of a newly established company outbidding those high-profile individuals in the land auction made William excited. This was the beginning of his era!
