Chapter 134 Everything is Ready, Waiting to Slaughter You
After discussing matters, William released Samuel from the secret room. Michelle approached them as soon as she saw William.
"William, how did it go?" she couldn't help but ask with concern.
William dismissed Samuel and told him to attend to his tasks before turning to Michelle.
"Michelle, help me draft an agreement to acquire Bence's shares. It needs to be done quickly! If everything goes smoothly, I want you to convene an emergency shareholders' meeting this afternoon."
William intended to start the emergency shareholders' meeting as soon as he obtained Bence's genuine signature. He wanted to catch him off guard. If Bence refused, he could have Samuel testify, accusing Bence of receiving kickbacks during the shareholders' meeting.
With both approaches, if Bence still tried to deny it, he couldn't blame William for being ruthless. In any case, today, he must completely drive Bence out of the company.
"Is it too hasty for us to acquire his shares?" Michelle expressed her concerns.
"Just trust me!" William replied with a slight smile.
"Alright then! I'll draft the acquisition contract." Michelle had unconditional trust and support for William.
On the other side, Samuel came out of the chairman's office feeling anxious. He took several deep breaths to calm himself down.
He was deeply startled by William's background. He never expected that William was the one who gave the chairman a $10 million check.
"I'll organize the quotation list and send it to Bence. I can't be nervous this time!"
With these thoughts, Samuel adjusted his emotions and had his office staff gather all the recent quotation lists. He planned to send them to Bence to be signed, along with a blank sheet of paper to deceive him.
Soon, Samuel finally organized a stack of quotation lists. They were enough to make Bence sign and seal the deal.
After preparing the materials, Samuel went straight to Bence's office.
He knocked on the door twice, and it was quickly opened. Patrick, Bence's lackey, saw that it was Samuel and eagerly asked, "Did you get the signature?"
"It's done." Samuel took out a piece of paper from his pocket that he had forged Michelle's signature on. At first glance, it indeed looked like Michelle's handwriting.
"Fantastic!" Patrick was overjoyed upon receiving the signed paper and immediately handed it to Bence.
After seeing the paper with Michelle's signature, Bence's face also lit up with joy.
"Samuel, you've done a great job this time. Tomorrow, accompany me to Morgan Bank. We have a $200 million short-term loan waiting for us." Bence was excited. With this signed paper and the chairman's authorization, he could secretly manipulate and obtain a $200 million loan from the bank.
Since it was Michelle's signature, this $200 million short-term loan would be a pit dug for Noad. "Let's see how he can repay this loan within a day. If he fails, we can call for the shareholders' meeting and remove Noad from the chairman position."
This was Bence's most used strategy!
"Bence, here are some material quotation lists for the new hotel being built in the East district. Take a look, and if there are no issues, please sign them!" Samuel handed a stack of quotation lists, at least forty to fifty pages, to Bence.
"Do we have this many?" Bence asked in surprise.
"We are rushing on the construction schedule recently, so the procurement department has purchased a lot of items. I suppose this quotation is excessive, as the suppliers listed here have all agreed to offer you a 20% kickback," Samuel continued.
"Oh, really?" Bence became somewhat oblivious, thinking about the amount of money involved with such a stack of quotations and a 20% kickback. Suddenly, his mood improved for no apparent reason.
"Samuel, you've done well. I am starting to admire you more and more!" said Bence.
Bence didn't bother to carefully review the quotations. After all, the company would foot the bill, so he only needed the kickback. With that, Bence directly signed on top of the quotations, and Samuel instinctively guided him to smoothly put his name on the blank paper.
"Alright, by the end of this month, your bonus will be transferred to your account," Bence said with a smile, knowing that he had successfully bribed Samuel and earned a considerable amount of money.
"Thank you, Bence. If there's nothing else, I'll leave now!" Samuel said, taking the stack of signed quotations and leaving Bence's office.
It wasn't until he closed the door that Samuel felt a cold sweat. Fortunately, he had successfully completed the task given to him by William.
To avoid drawing attention, he first returned to his own office and then securely hid the white paper with Bence's genuine signature. Only then did he proceed to the chairman's office.
At this moment, Michelle had almost finished drafting the agreement for the transfer of shares when Samuel suddenly barged in, interrupting her thoughts.
"William, Samuel is here again," Michelle informed William, as she had already learned of William's plan. Samuel was the key to framing Bence, so as soon as he entered, she alerted William.
After Samuel entered, he closed the door and nervously approached William, who was sitting on the couch.
"Mr. Brown, I have brought back the document with Bence's genuine signature!" Samuel said.
"Hmm, well done! I'm convening an emergency board meeting this afternoon and I want you to come forward and testify against Bence for embezzlement, bribery, and taking kickbacks. Are you willing to do that?" William took the paper with Bence's name and glanced at Samuel.
"No problem, Mr. Brown. If you assign me the task, I will definitely step forward." Samuel nodded, although he might also inevitably be implicated in the process. However, compared to offending Mr. Brown, he was willing to bear that bit of involvement.
"Don't worry. If you do well, I will ensure your safety," William said with a faint smile.
"Thank you, Mr. Brown." Samuel sighed in relief, realizing that following Mr. Brown was indeed the right path.
Soon after, William sent Samuel away, and Michelle continued working on the share transfer agreement.
The stock acquisition agreement was also finalized, and after printing it out, the page with Bence's name was stamped on the last page.
It happened to be the page he needed to sign for confirmation.
"William, it's settled. Bence owns a total of 20% of the company's shares. How much should we fill in for the acquisition price?" Michelle thought for a moment and asked.
"Let's fill in one hundred thousand dollars! Give him some compensation! After all, he has been with this company for over ten years. He deserves some credit." William smiled slightly.
Michelle was taken aback. These 20% of shares were worth at least four billion dollars, and William wanted to acquire them for just one hundred thousand dollars. It was ruthless, but she liked it.
"Well, let's fill in one hundred thousand dollars then! Whom should we transfer it to?" Michelle blinked and asked.
"Transfer it to yourself! That way, you'll receive a substantial annual bonus. It'll be enough for your pocket money." William smiled. He wasn't interested in this amount of money anymore.
"No, I'll transfer it to you! Otherwise, mom will keep nagging at you. If you receive the bonus, we can go out and have fun together." Michelle considered it for a moment, thinking that if William had money, she would have money too.
"That settles it then." Before William could object, Michelle had him sign it.
William was moved by Michelle's consideration for him. If she thought this way, why would he hesitate? But he already owned 20% of the shares before. With this additional 20%, wouldn't he have 40% of Wilson's Hotel?
It was already afternoon. The two of them ordered some food to fill their stomachs and prepared one hundred thousand dollars in cash as the transfer fee for Bence.
After doing all of this, Michelle called for an impromptu board meeting, saying that there was an important announcement to make.
Once everyone had arrived, William stood up.
"It's time for us to take action!" William took the stock acquisition agreement and walked with Michelle and Samuel toward the meeting room. At this moment, all five members of the board of directors were present, looking puzzled.
The arrival of Michelle and the others made the meeting room quiet all of a sudden!
