Chapter 278 Finally, an Apology

Raymond finally understood what was going on.

"Larry, how dare you deceive me!" Raymond turned to look at Larry, but he noticed that he appeared weak and submissive- a far cry from his previous self. How could he act like a coward?

Realizing that Larry must have been coerced, Raymond shifted his gaze onto William.

"Who do you think you are? How dare you plot against me!" Raymond held his head, pointing and shouting at William with a hint of nervousness on his face.

All of his subordinates had been taken down, and he was now surrounded by so many people. How could he not be nervous?

"I told you that you had to apologize to Oscar. Do you have any problem with that now?" William said calmly with a faint smile on his lips.

"If you want me to apologize, I'll do it. But that will only strip away my dignity. I am Mr. Davis's man. If you want to harm me, you should think twice." Raymond wasn't used to surrendering easily. Moreover, when people heard that he was connected to Mr. Davis, they would try to please him immediately.

However, today he encountered William, who wasn't afraid of anything. How could he be afraid of Mr. Davis? It was truly a joke!

"Mr. Davis? Next time, I'll make Mr. Davis kneel before me and see how powerful he really is." William stood up, his face cold as he approached Raymond.

"Stop bragging! Once you meet Mr. Davis, you'll know just how powerful he is!" Raymond wanted to continue intimidating William, but William immediately punched him in the face, causing him to stagger and fall to the ground.

"Let me tell you, I've never had any regard for Mr. Davis," William said calmly.

"You bastard! You're quite strong. If I die today, Mr. Davis will wipe out your whole family tomorrow!" Raymond spoke with confidence. Larry beside him shook his head at Raymond's attempt to frighten William with Mr. Davis.

What a fool! Did he really think William could be scared off that easily? He was only asking for trouble.

"Okay, I'll kill you. This matter can be considered resolved then! Baca, handle it." William's gaze turned to Baca, who had a burly figure and held a short knife in his hand.

Raymond instinctively took a step back when he saw Baca approaching him slowly. Fear finally appeared in his eyes.

"What do you want to do?"

"Of course, I want to kill you," Baca said with a murderous look in his eyes.

"Aren't you afraid of Mr. Davis? If you kill me, you won't live either!" Raymond began to feel a hint of fear.

"Baca, disable his legs first," William said coldly.

"Alright, Mr. Brown," Baca responded, gripping the knife tightly and stabbing Raymond's leg. The instant pain of the knife penetrating his flesh made Raymond fully understand that these people were truly not afraid of Mr. Davis.

Raymond's thigh was cut open, and a crimson stream of blood flowed from the wound. His face instantly turned pale, and cold sweat appeared on his forehead. When he looked at William, there was an additional trace of fear in his eyes.

"I... I'll apologize immediately." Raymond now understood why Larry, who usually acted arrogantly, would cower in the corner of the sofa. He was afraid of these scoundrels!

"Call him now! And later, prepare a gift for him as well," William said indifferently.

At this moment, Raymond didn't dare to complain anymore and could only nod in agreement.

Meanwhile, Oscar's family and Michelle were waiting in the train station's waiting room with their luggage, looking anxious and uneasy.

"Dad, we're leaving. What are you going to do?" Julia said worriedly.

Linda, beside her, also had an anxious expression.

"Why don't you come with us to New York for a few days?" she suggested.

"I can't leave. If I leave, the company won't be able to survive. This is my lifelong effort," Oscar said unwillingly.

"Is company more important than your life? Besides, I heard that Noad is doing very well. With his help, you can overcome this completely," Linda tried to persuade him. She didn't want to see Oscar die here.

"The company is my life's work, and I can't leave it," Oscar replied firmly.

Michelle felt uncomfortable seeing them acting like this, so she offered some advice.

"Uncle, should I call William again? I'm sure he can find a solution to this."

"Michelle, why are you still talking nonsense here? Your boyfriend doesn't seem to care about you at all. He didn't even come to see you off tonight. Maybe he's hiding somewhere, afraid of being implicated by us," Linda said sarcastically.

"Michelle, don't bother William again. Maybe he's avoiding you now. After all, Raymond is notorious for being a bully in the East district. Getting involved with him will lead to punishment," Oscar sighed. He was starting to regret taking that deal.

"William said he would make Raymond come and apologize to you in person." Michelle still believed that William's words wouldn't be wrong.

"Let it go, Michelle. Let's focus on how we will live in New York after going back!" Julia also tried to persuade her.

She no longer had hope in William's words. Maybe it was just luck that William managed to scare off Pablo at the MA club!

Michelle sighed, but she still believed William because everything William said to her had come true. So he wouldn't break his promise this time either.

Soon, the announcement for boarding started playing in the waiting room.

It was time for them to leave.

The family had to part, and this separation might be permanent because Raymond was truly cruel and capable of anything.

However, at that moment, Oscar's phone rang. Oscar picked it up and saw Raymond's name on the caller ID. He didn't dare to delay and answered the call with a cautious expression.

Linda and Julia also looked tense, their hearts pounding. They didn't know what this bully wanted to do now.

After being on the phone for a while, Oscar's face suddenly showed a shocked expression. Disbelief was evident in his eyes.
