Chapter 295 Chance Encounter with a Fortune Teller

Mr. Davis's death completely changed the East district.

As soon as William left the hotel, Antony took charge of cleaning up the mess. At the same time, he sent Baca, Sharon, and others to assist Antony in subduing the remaining subordinates of the East district, including Pablo and his men.

Antony replaced Mr. Davis as the new overlord of the East district.

After a week, the situation in the East district gradually stabilized. Under Antony's leadership, WE ARE Chamber acquired Mr. Davis's properties at a low cost and took the opportunity to acquire other industries as well, gaining control of 60% of the market in the East district and shocking the entire Long Island.

With this battle, Antony's reputation was strongly established, while William remained hidden in the background. Few outsiders knew that he was the one leading it all.

After avenging her father, Lillian's went to William and thanked him. As for Larry and Raymond, once they became useless, Lillian dealt with them personally. They would probably spend the rest of their lives in bed. This also counted as revenge for her father and brother.

Julia's family and Michelle were currently having breakfast. Oscar was holding a local newspaper, reading it with an increasingly shocked expression in his eyes.

"Antony is really incredible. He actually killed Mr. Davis! I never expected this," Oscar said. "He has only been in Long Island for about two months, but it seems like he's moving at an incredibly fast pace."

Linda, who was sitting next to him, reminded him, "Since the leader of the East district has changed, do you want to prepare a gift for Antony to facilitate our future cooperation with him?"

"It's not that easy. There are so many people who want to befriend him. But I heard that he recently co-organized a WE ARE Chamber recruitment reception with the Sullivan family, inviting various corporate groups from Long Island to join."

After a brief pause, Oscar continued, "If we can join WE ARE Chamber, my company will never lack partnership opportunities. I also heard that WE ARE Chamber holds a 70% market share in New York. If we can join, our business can expand to New York." Oscar's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"This is such a great opportunity. Let's not miss it," Linda exclaimed.

"You think I don't want to attend this reception? Antony and Ralph are the co-organizers, and I heard that Mr. Brown will also be there to show his support. It's going to be extravagant. But without an invitation, we can't get in," Oscar said with some frustration.

"An invitation?" Linda furrowed her brow as well. With so many important figures attending, it would definitely be difficult to obtain an invitation to such a reception.

As Oscar agonized over this, his gaze instinctively turned to Michelle. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he asked her in a rather pleasing tone, "Michelle, William has a special relationship with Boss Jones. Can you ask him to help us get an invitation?"

At that moment, Oscar could only think of William. Previously, it was William who had brought in that one hundred million dollars of investment from Boss Jones. So, it seemed plausible for him to get an invitation letter.

"I'm not sure, but I'll go ask him later," Michelle said, taking a sip of milk.

She hadn't seen William in over ten days, so she also wanted to spend some time with him on this occasion.

After dealing with Mr. Davis, William had been activating his superpowers at the Garden Villa, completely forgetting about his girlfriend Michelle and his fiancée Sophia.

"William, can you help Uncle Oscar get a WE ARE Chamber invitation letter?" Michelle's sweet voice came through the phone.

"No problem. I'll bring it to you later in the afternoon. Let's go out for a stroll after that." William hadn't seen Michelle in a long time and felt like he had been neglecting her lately, so he wanted to make it up to her.

"Great, great! There's a food event in the South district this afternoon. Let's go together." Michelle's excited voice came through the phone.

It was rare for William to initiate plans with her.

After hanging up the phone, William called Antony and asked him to send an invitation from WE ARE Chamber.

After doing all of this, William intended to continue activating his superpowers, but unexpectedly, Sophia came running over. She also lived in the Garden Villa, so it was easy for her to find William.

"William, are you activating your superpowers?" Sophia leaned in as she spoke.

"Why do you have free time? Aren't you listening to music and watching movies in the villa?" William asked instinctively.

"William, I've been cooped up in the villa for almost a month. Can you take me out for a stroll?" There was a hint of longing in Sophia's tone.

Ever since the kidnapping incident, William had strengthened the security of the Garden Villa, not allowing Sophia to go outside for fear of further kidnapping attempts.

Although William had eliminated the Graham family's influence in Long Island, the Graham family would certainly not give up. They might send people to kidnap or even assassinate Sophia. Therefore, Sophia was still in danger.

"Alright, there's a food event in the South district this afternoon. I'll take you there!" William thought since he was meeting Michelle in the afternoon anyway, he might as well bring Sophia along.

It was unfair to keep her cooped up in the villa for a month, so letting her get some fresh air was acceptable, but proper security measures needed to be taken.

"Alright. No backing out!" Sophia laughed happily. Being trapped in the villa for a month had driven her crazy.

"Enjoy yourself this afternoon, but you have to follow my arrangements. We can't be careless. If something happens, it won't be fun," William reminded her firmly.

"Don't worry, I promise I won't stray too far from you." Sophia looked at William and assured him.

In the afternoon, William brought a business car because there were quite a few people going.

Sophia wanted to go to the food street, and Kylie and Fiona insisted on tagging along, so William had to bring enough security guards. Only the business vehicle could accommodate everyone.

The South district's food event is quite grand this time. There are many people here. Not only are there delicacies from all over the world, but there are also various performances, such as magic shows.

William parked the car at a distance, afraid that he wouldn't be able to get out if he went any further. The group got out of the car and saw a crowd of people in front of them.

"Wow, there are so many people. It's so crowded!" Fiona was speechless.

"Let's go now!" Sophia said excitedly.

Kylie frowned when she saw this and turned her head to look around, trying to find a less crowded area. Suddenly, she noticed a fortune teller setting up a stall in a corner and became curious.

"Sophia, there's a fortune teller over there. Let's go and have a look. It's a good opportunity for you to find out when your bad luck will come to an end. Staying in the villa is really boring." Kylie wanted the fortune teller to tell Sophia when her bad luck would end.

Upon hearing this, Fiona also became curious and chimed in. "I also want to find out when my Prince Charming will come."

Fiona had been thinking about her Raining all along and wanted the fortune teller to tell her fortune as well.

With that, the two of them dragged Sophia toward the fortune teller. Helpless, Sophia could only reluctantly follow them.

William shook his head. He didn't believe in fortune telling. He thought it was all a scam. However, for Sophia's safety, he also went along and sent Michelle the location of the fortune teller, asking her to come there when she arrived.
