Chapter 395 Accomplishing a Big Task
In addition to asking Sharon to bring the tonic from the martial arts gym, William also told her to bring someone else, Donald. Donald had been imprisoned in the basement of the Graham family in Long Island for two years. Although he had lost hope after being rescued by William's men, he could be useful now, so Sharon brought him along.
The night before challenging Das Guild, Sharon flew to Canada with the tonic and Donald. William personally drove to pick them up. "I never expected that I would return to Canada one day," Donald said, looking out of the car window at the familiar night scenery, filled with emotions. It had been two years since he had last been in Canada.
"Do you want to go back to the Hamilton family?" William asked cautiously while driving.
"What's the use of going back? The Hamilton family no longer has a place for me. No one would want to see a fallen individual like me return," Donald replied with a sense of hopelessness.
"But don't you have a daughter? She must want you to come back," William mentioned Rebecca.
"If I don't go back, the Hamilton family might treat her well, but if I do, it might bring her down too," Donald seemed to have seen through it all.
Thinking about it, it made sense. If Donald didn't appear, his uncles would take care of Rebecca as their niece. But if Donald returned, there would be another person competing for the family inheritance, potentially leading to conflict and endangering her.
"There's no need to be so pessimistic. I brought you back with Sharon this time not only to reunite you with your daughter but also to help you ascend to the position of chairman of the Hamilton family. However, it depends on your personal interest," William said earnestly.
"Help me ascend to the position of chairman of the Hamilton family? How could that be?" Donald was taken aback by William's words.
"Chairman? Are you serious?" Donald knew how capable William was, although he didn't know he was Mr. Brown. He was however, well aware of William's affairs on Long Island. For example, William was now the master of Ocean Guild, with numerous skilled subordinates, and he himself was a Silver Level expert. With such a person helping him ascend to the position of chairman of the Hamilton family, it was indeed possible.
"I am certainly serious. With the current changes in Canada, now would be a good time for you to return. As long as you want it, I will help you," William wanted to support him, so that he would have a reliable ally in Canada.
"Well, I have heard a bit about the current situation in Canada. If I have the opportunity to return to the Hamilton family, I will definitely thank Mr. Brown," Donald suddenly felt a flicker of hope ignite in his heart, a feeling that hadn't appeared in two years.
William arranged Sharon and Donald to stay in the villa in Peace Garden, intending to have them meet each other at some point.
But before that, he had to accomplish a major task.
The next day, just as dawn broke, William rushed off in his Ferrari to the headquarters of the Flood Boxing Guild on the outskirts of Canada.
And there, more than a hundred people from the Flood Boxing Guild were already assembled and waiting for William.
"You all move quite fast. Is everyone here?" William spoke, subconsciously scanning the neatly lined-up students of the Flood Boxing Guild. Their spirits all seemed to be quite high.
There were also four grandmaster-level experts, including Delilah and Cameron, which showed that these people were the elites of the Flood Boxing Guild.
"These are all the elites of our Guild," Neil said, glancing behind William, a bit doubtful as he saw only William.
"What about the foreign reinforcements we agreed upon?"
"It has already been arranged. They will appear when the time comes!" William's lips curled slightly. The reinforcements were actually people from Ocean Guild, including those who had infiltrated Das Guild.
It was only because of Ocean Guild's assistance that Neil dared to take a decisive stand against Das Guild.
"That's good. Let's set off!" Neil suddenly became confident.
And William didn't mention the fact that the ancestors of Das Guild were coming out. He was afraid that if he told them, they would hesitate.
Alright, it will affect the morale of the whole army.
With that the group drove off in vans towards their destination.
This challenge was different from regular worldwide battles. It was a championship challenge which was a bit gentler; but also full of bloodshed.
Because this challenge was not a mere point-based competition, but a battle of endurance, continuing until one side surrenders or no one is left standing.
And the losing side must accept the demands of the other unconditionally. This type of challenge is a common way to resolve conflicts in modern martial arts. Avoiding large-scale battles and effectively resolving disputes between the parties.
When William and the others arrived, the arena was already filled with Das Guild members, with Santiago standing in the forefront. Beside him stood an old man, hunched over, with wrinkles covering his face.
He looked like he had one foot in the grave, but his eyes were like an abyss that no one could see through.
Close to a thousand members of Das Guild stood there, with an imposing presence and thunderous aura.
Upon seeing Neil and over a hundred people getting off the car, Santiago sneered.
"This time, we will show Flood Boxing Guild our true strength."
