Chapter 128 Shameless Pursuit
The tip of his nose approached, lightly touching her face.
His breath sprayed on her face, and the kiss fell again, extremely domineering.
Juniper's eyes turned red. "But I don't want to, Magnus. You can't force me."
'Force? It doesn't matter as long as I can keep you by my side. What does it matter if I use unscrupulous means?' He thought.
Whether she hated him or disliked him, as long as he could keep her firmly by his side, it was worth it.
His large hand reached into her waist and slowly moved downward.
She suddenly said coldly, "I betrayed you and sent you to prison for three years. Why are you still entangled with me?"
Magnus sneered and curled his lips.
He also wanted to know why, probably because he was a masochist.
Seeing that he still didn't let go of her, she continued, "Your name is Magnus. Have you forgotten how your father, Benjamin, died?"
Between them, it was always a doomed relationship.
Continuing to entangle would only lead to utter ruin.
His hand paused.
Juniper took the opportunity to push him away.
Ronald happened to come out of the elevator. The door was open.
There were obvious tear stains on Juniper's face.
Ronald thought she had been bullied, and without thinking, he swung a punch at Magnus's face!
"Scum! How could you bully a woman!"
Ronald often exercised so his punch was heavy.
Magnus stood there dejectedly, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth, but he didn't fight back.
He seemed to feel no pain. His tongue tasted the blood.
His indifferent look made Ronald want to throw a second punch.
Juniper quickly pulled him back, saying, "Stop hitting him. He didn't bully me. Let's go."
She picked up the things on the ground, put them in a cardboard box, and got up to leave.
Magnus grabbed her hand. "He can go. You can't."
Ronald frowned, "Haven't you had enough of my fists?"
"I won't fight back, beat me to death, and I'll let her go."
He looked at Juniper.
Ronald was infuriated and swung another punch.
This punch was heavier than the last.
Magnus felt a bit of pain, but instead of letting go, he held on tighter.
Ronald threw a third punch.
Magnus felt a gush of blood in his mouth.
The bloodstains at the corner of his mouth increased.
But he never fought back. He just looked at Juniper calmly and obsessively.
Magnus was a madman.
When he wanted something, he would use any means necessary.
Even if it meant betting his life.
Just as Ronald was about to throw a fourth punch.
Juniper suddenly spoke, "Ronald, wait for me downstairs. I'll handle this myself."
"But he."
"If you keep hitting him, he won't let go unless you kill him."
She always knew how obsessive Magnus was.
Ronald was worried. "If you're not down in ten minutes. I'll come back up."
Juniper nodded.
After Ronald left, ahe looked at Magnus and said word by word, "I can be with you."
"Juniper."
"Unless you can bring my mom back to life."
Her words were like a dagger to the heart.
Magnus's eyes were dark and lifeless.
Any condition would do, but this was something he couldn't do.
Juniper continued to be the villain. She said coldly, "You can't do it, can you? If you can't, let me go."
She looked at him, her eyes moist but firm, cold and unfeeling.
She pried his fingers off her one by one. "You know how my mom died? I don't hate anyone. it's all karma, and I accept it. I don't hate you, but I can't be with you. Magnus, we're the same kind of people. We're not meant to be together."
From the beginning, they shouldn't have met. This relationship was a mistake.
Since it was a mistake, it should be stopped in time.
She pried off his last finger.
Juniper turned and walked away quickly.
Magnus's empty hand hung by his side.
He collapsed on the sofa, his shoulders slumped. He stared at the floor, sinking into darkness, utterly dejected.
Magnus curled his lips, his smile wild and desperate.
'Juniper might as well have let Ronald beat me to death.' He thought.
He lowered his eyes, looked at the silver ring on his ring finger, and gently rubbed it with his thumb.
So, his Juniper really didn't want him anymore.
On the way back to the Banyan Tree Hotel, Juniper sat in the passenger seat, absent-minded.
Ronald asked, "I hit him. Are you feeling sorry for him?"
Juniper smiled faintly, "He and I are just exes now. What's there for me to feel sorry for?"
"You just reunited, and he treated you like this. In the future, in Imperial Capital, you two will inevitably meet again. Juniper, you need to be mentally prepared."
"Okay, I know. Seeing him makes me break out in a cold sweat."
'Is this PTSD?' She thought.
She reached out and touched her neck. Her hand was sweaty.
'This is probably abnormal.' She thought.
Ronald naturally saw it, too. The ends of her long hair draped over her shoulders were slightly damp.
"Do you want to see a doctor or get a consultation?"
She smiled bitterly, "Maybe I'm just too nervous about reuniting. Am I useless?"
"You've been through so much with him. Everything has changed. It's already good that you can face him. But he's such an extreme person. If he meets you again and does something drastic, how about I assign two bodyguards to you?"
Ronald thought about it and suggested it seriously.
Juniper shook her head. "He won't do that again. Tonight, I've already killed his thoughts. Besides, when I go to see Jennifer, I can't bring two bodyguards, which would scare the kids."
"That's true. Do you and Jennifer plan to go to the movies on Monday?"
"Yes."
"Do you want me to go with you?"
Juniper was stunned for a moment, then said, "Ronald, we've been in Imperial Capital for several days. You don't need to accompany me anymore. I'm not leaving for now, but I'm not alone here. Ophelia is here, too. You don't need to worry about me."
Ronald gripped the steering wheel, a thoughtful look on his face.
He wanted to say something more, but Juniper's current state made it impossible for her to accept anyone.
She didn't accept Magnus, and she would definitely keep others out, too.
But it didn't matter. He could wait until she let go one day.
Early the next morning, in SY Group, President's Office, Joseph pushed the door open with a worried look on his face.
"Magnus, I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?"
"Bad news."
"The bad news is that the influencer refused the invitation. She doesn't want to sing the theme song and the reason is unknown."
This bad news was within Magnus's expectations.
"Good news."
"The good news is that Miss Ophelia posted a photo of eating Mexican food in her social circle, and I found out that Juniper is in it. She's still alive!"
He already knew the good news before.
Magnus didn't even lift his eyebrows, his reaction very indifferent.
Joseph was surprised. 'Why wasn't Magnus excited at all?'
Until Magnus spoke calmly, "I know."
Joseph awkwardly said, "Sorry, Magnus."
"Call and continue negotiating with her. Increase the price."
"But does Juniper care about money?"
The man's eyes moved slightly. "She doesn't care, I do. She still owes me 50 million dollars. This debt is always valid."
'When did this 50 million dollars happen? It should be a debt long ago.' Joseph thought.
Joseph was stunned, and he thought Magnus was a bit shameless.
