Chapter 410 Will You Blame Me

At first, Magnus didn't think much of it, assuming Juniper was referring to an itch caused by a skin allergy.

He gently ran his slightly calloused fingertip across her waist, causing a slight shiver.

He leaned in slightly and coaxed her in a deep voice, "Is it itching badly? Should we go to the hospital?"

He held her hands to prevent her from scratching, worried that she might break the rash and cause an infection.

Juniper struggled a bit and reminded him, "It's not that kind of itch."

"Then what kind of itch is it?"

As soon as he asked, Magnus realized.

He was clearly taken aback, not expecting Juniper to be so proactive tonight.

He stared at her for a few seconds, noticing she was also staring intently at him. The moment their eyes met, both of their breaths hitched.

Juniper, who couldn't handle alcohol well, felt dizzy. Wrapped in his arms, her toes barely touched the ground, as if she were stepping on cotton. She felt light and extremely dizzy.

Magnus's large hand supported her lower back, almost bearing her entire weight. Juniper cupped his face with both hands and tilted her head up to kiss him.

She was incredibly proactive.

When she was slightly out of breath from the kiss, Magnus pressed his forehead against hers and chuckled, "Should I really do whatever I want?"

Before she could answer.

He had already taken control of her heartbeat, his deep gaze falling on her red lips with a hint of meaning, "Juniper, I find it hard to be satisfied. Are you sure?"

Juniper felt a vague sense of fear.

She forced a smile and turned to run, "I'll go take a shower first."

But as soon as she tried to push his hand away, his large hand hooked around her waist.

With a light lift, Magnus carried her horizontally towards the bathroom.

He glanced down at her, a subtle smile playing on his lips, "Why are you running? No rush, we have the whole night."

She was in a hurry to run.

In the bathroom, Juniper felt dizzy, her whole body soft and limp like water, almost melting.

She didn't know how long it lasted, but vaguely, Magnus kindly wrapped her in a towel and carried her back to the bed.

Just when she thought it was over, Magnus pulled her into his arms, "Appetizer's over, how about we try something different?"

The bathroom was just the appetizer? Appetizer?

Juniper was shocked to the point of being petrified.

That night was thrilling.

Outside, the sky was beginning to brighten.

Juniper was so exhausted that she felt wide awake. She mischievously leaned in to kiss him, thinking Magnus would be annoyed. Instead, he didn't avoid it. He grabbed the back of her head and kissed her even deeper.

All she could taste was him.

Juniper tried to push him away, but he grabbed her hands and wrapped them around his neck, incredibly domineering.

Until dawn, Juniper leaned weakly against him and fell into a deep sleep. Vaguely, Magnus whispered in her ear, "Will you blame me?"

Blame him for what?

Juniper didn't quite understand, sleep overcoming her, and she lazily responded with a sound.

Magnus held her back and kissed her forehead, "Once we get married, none of this will matter."

It seemed like he was talking to her, but also to himself.

As deep winter approached, the nursing home called.

The caregiver said, "Mr. Blackwood, it's been very cold these past few days. Many families have taken their loved ones home for the holidays. The nursing home is quite empty, and your mother has been very down lately. She keeps asking to see you. She says she wants to go back to The Brown Villa, she misses Benjamin, and she wants to go home. She's been pestering me to call you. She looks so lonely and pitiful. Can you take her home?"

On the other end of the line, Ava's voice could be heard occasionally.

"Benjamin, can you come take me home for the holidays? I haven't been home in so long. I've been very good lately."

Magnus held the phone, stunned for a few seconds, and finally said, "I'll come see her this afternoon."

When Magnus took the call, Juniper was right beside him.

She heard most of the conversation and suggested, "Why don't we go see your mom together and bring her over for a couple of days? It's cold, and she must feel lonely at the nursing home."

Lyra had stayed in a nursing home for many years. One New Year's Eve, Juniper had taken Jenny to pick up Lyra and brought her to the house she was renting at the time.

Juniper had casually prepared a meal.

When Lyra saw the meal, tears instantly rolled down her cheeks. At that time, they hadn't been reunited for nearly ten years.

So, Juniper understood better than anyone how lonely and pitiful Ava must feel at the nursing home.

Magnus looked at Juniper, his eyes showing a hint of emotion, "My mom has mental issues. If we bring her over, I'm afraid she'll scare you."

Juniper laughed, "I'm not a child, and besides, she won't be staying here permanently."

After all, this was Magnus's house. It was his right to bring his mother over for a couple of days.

Juniper had no reason to object.

She paused and added, "She's your mom. I won't mind her, and I won't be scared of her."
