Chapter 324 Windsor Group Takes Action Against Counterfeits

Christopher raised an eyebrow and gave a cryptic smile. "Is there something wrong? In the company, Karen is indeed her senior. It's perfectly reasonable for Karen to help Quinn get familiar with the company's structure and operations."

Although Karen wasn't inherently bad, she was opportunistic and liked to take shortcuts.

Given Ronald's understanding of Karen, he felt that Juniper would likely be bullied if she followed Karen.

Ronald tactfully suggested, "I'm also quite familiar with the company's operations. How about I guide Quinn instead?"

Karen crossed her arms and watched the scene unfold, scoffing, "Feeling protective already? Dad, with him like this, what can he teach Quinn? But if you want to take on a newbie, Ronald, I'll let you."

In Karen's view, Juniper was just a pretty face with no real abilities. She wasn't afraid of those scheming around her or getting into trouble; she just had a low tolerance for stupidity.

In her impression, marrying Magnus and settling into the role of a devoted wife and mother seemed like the most fitting path for Juniper.

Christopher's deep, meaningful gaze turned to Juniper. "Quinn, what's your take?"

Juniper smiled, "I'm too familiar with Ronald. If I really mess up, he might be too embarrassed to scold me. Karen is very capable; I can learn a lot from her."Karen was momentarily stunned and then said, "Let me be clear, I hate idiots and have a bad temper. When I scold people..."

Juniper interrupted her, "I know, just keep it professional."

Karen uttered, "Fine, just don't come crying to Dad later."

Karen maintained her haughty attitude but had already accepted the task of bringing Juniper into Windsor Group to get acquainted with the business.

However, it wasn't out of respect for Christopher or a sudden burst of kindness. She just wanted to prove to Christopher that Juniper wasn't cut out for business.

After dinner, Karen left. Juniper pushed Christopher's wheelchair, accompanying him for a post-dinner stroll in the yard.

Christopher glanced sideways and asked Juniper, "Do you feel wronged that I handed you over to Karen?"

Juniper just asked, "Dad, I want to know, do you have a purpose for doing this?"

Christopher had always known that Karen and Juniper didn't get along, yet he still arranged it this way.

Christopher squeezed her hand and said, "Karen is very capable, but she's not suited to be a leader. With her personality, she'd secretly offend many people if she were in charge. You're different; you handle things with a soft touch. Karen is smart, but Quinn, you're my biological daughter, and you have a good business mind. Otherwise, you wouldn't have built up your account to over five million followers on your own."

Juniper felt a bit guilty at the mention of this. She smiled, "That account was almost banned due to reports."

Christopher hadn't really paid much attention to this and asked, "What happened?"

Juniper sighed, "I was cyberbullied for a while, and many people reported me. With enough reports and my past experiences, my account got restricted. It looks like I still have followers and can take on business deals, but honestly, I'm pretty much done for."

Christopher, having weathered many storms, didn't think much of it. He just patted her hand and said, "When you're at rock bottom, as long as you don't give up, you can slowly climb back up. When you're at the peak, you'll also face a decline. You and Karen are two extremes, both in your current states and personal characteristics."

Juniper asked, "So when do I start working?"

Christopher said, "First, get your health back. Following Karen will likely be intense work. Without a strong body, you'll be exhausted."

Juniper nodded.

Christopher added earnestly, "Karen and Ronald are both talented. Karen is like a finely sharpened blade, while Ronald is more like a blunt axe. Quinn, you need to understand them well, grasp their temperaments, and learn how to utilize their strengths. Especially with Karen—if you can win her over and master the art of leadership, it will make your future inheritance of the Windsor Group much smoother."

Juniper was momentarily stunned. These words sounded familiar. When she was in Solara, Magnus had said something similar to her.

As a leader, learning to manage people and balance power was more important than business skills.

Seeing her lost in thought, Christopher asked, "What are you thinking about?"

Juniper smiled and teased, "Nothing, Dad. Tell me more about Karen. I haven't interacted with her much. Although I'm not afraid of being scolded, I don't really want to work under her and get reprimanded."

Christopher nodded. "Alright."

During the time Juniper was recuperating, she kept learning about Windsor Group's fundamentals, history, and business structure.

Jenny was in Southern City, keeping up with her studies.

Christopher had Ronald find a private tutor, so Jenny had plenty of coursework every day.

Juniper studied with her. Having something to do made the days pass quickly. Another week went by.

One day, Facebook was abuzz with trending news.

Windsor Group's corporate account posted a message: [The engagement between Magnus Blackwood of SY Group and Quinn Abbott is false!]

As soon as this clarification was posted, everyone on Facebook started discussing it!

Netizens flooded the comments:

[What? The engagement news was everywhere, and now you're telling me it's fake?]

[These two conglomerates almost broke their PR departments to release good news!]

[Definitely a conspiracy! The stock prices were low, and they teamed up to trick me into buying shares!]

[No worries. Keep stirring things up. When the market opens tomorrow, my stocks will definitely rise again!][Seriously? A perfect match, and they can't just go with it? It would make us happy! Maybe the stocks would rise even more!]

[I knew it was fake! Windsor Group's chairman, Mr. Abbott, has only one biological daughter. If Magnus married his only daughter, wouldn't Windsor Group become part of SY?]

[So what if they're a good match? Mr. Abbott's daughter is better off marrying his adopted son. If she marries into SY, how will she inherit Windsor Group? Windsor Group isn't a small company. If Ms. Abbott leaves, who will inherit it?]

At Agency 719's base, Odis walked into the hospital room with a beaming smile, holding his phone. "I have good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"

Magnus leaned against the headboard, his eyes covered with white gauze.

Although Odis later developed an antidote and Magnus took it, the poison had been in his system for too long, and he didn't take the antidote in time. This left residual toxins that caused temporary blindness.

But in recent days, even with the gauze, he could gradually see light.

Magnus said, "Tell me the bad news first."
