Chapter 150 I Need You

After Ophelia came out of the restroom, she ran to the terrace on this floor to get some fresh air.

Suddenly, a deep male voice sounded behind her.

"Lily."

She seemed to be familiar with the voice.

Ophelia's hand gripping the railing tightened involuntarily.

Lily was her childhood name, only her parents would call her Lily.

Not even Robert and Juniper knew this name.

Ophelia stiffly turned around, her heart skipping a beat.

Thomas had returned.

He stood in the half-light, tall and strikingly handsome.

After five years, it seemed that he had become a successful man, who was mature enough.

Ophelia stood rigidly in place.

After a while, she forced a smile and casually greeted Thomas, "Hi, long time no see."

Magnus walked toward the restroom.

His steps seemed a bit unsteady.

Patricia followed, grabbing his arm. "Magnus, are you feeling unwell?"

Magnus pulled his arm away, his face extremely stern.

Patricia was not one to give up easily; she persisted, "Magnus, you don't look well. Are you running a fever? Let me help you to the upstairs restroom to rest!"

"Get lost!"

Magnus pushed her away.

Patricia persisted, "Magnus, you can barely walk steadily. I'm worried. How about I take you to your room first, then I'll go get Juniper Beaumont to take care of you?"

At the mention of Juniper's name, Magnus's eyes narrowed.

He sobered up a bit.

Patricia thought Magnus's silence meant agreement and approached him again.

But this time, before Patricia could touch Magnus, her neck was gripped!

Magnus's grip tightened inch by inch.

Patricia was almost suffocating, "Magnus... you... calm down!"

Magnus's voice was cold and harsh. "I'll give you one last chance, get lost!"

"I'm just... worried about you..."

"If you don't value your life, come and try sticking around."

Magnus released her neck, showing mercy.

She was scared stiff!

She dared not approach again!

Magnus only took a sip of his drink, but still energetic!

If he had taken a few more sips, he would probably have been powerless long ago, under Patricia's control!

Patricia's plan was all in vain!

She clenched her fists in anger, watching Magnus walk away.

Juniper went to the restroom to look for Ophelia.

Carrying her gown, she walked to the terrace on this side and paused.

She saw Ophelia with Thomas.

Juniper was startled, turned around, and bumped into Robert!

"Mr. Brown."

Juniper stood there, trying to block Robert's view.

Robert frowned and asked, "Where is Ophelia Perez?"

"She... she's not here!"

But Robert didn't believe her at all; he lifted his foot to enter the terrace.

Juniper blocked him. "I've checked the terrace, Ophelia Perez is not here, Mr. Brown. Let's look around the corner."

"Move aside."

"She really isn't here!"

Juniper stubbornly stood in his way.

On the terrace, Thomas and Ophelia had just been kissing.

Juniper hesitated, thinking that if she delayed them a bit, it wouldn't be too awkward when Mr. Brown entered after they were done kissing.

And Juniper believed that Ophelia had been forced into it.

But Robert was not easily fooled; he stared coldly at Juniper.

After a few seconds of stalemate, Robert pushed Juniper away forcefully.

Juniper felt a sharp pain in her shoulder.

Wearing high heels, she was pushed back several steps and fell into a familiar chest.

Magnus embraced her waist.

He coldly shouted at Robert, "What are you doing?"

But Robert had already walked into the terrace with long strides.

Juniper quickly explained, "I'm fine. Ophelia and Thomas Hawthorne are inside. I was afraid Mr. Brown would misunderstand if he saw them..."

"What are they doing inside?"

Juniper chose to remain silent.

Ophelia was her best friend, and no matter what Ophelia did, she would stand by her.

Even if Ophelia did something morally wrong!

Juniper would still help her as she did just now.

But Magnus had a rough idea. "Ophelia Perez and Thomas Hawthorne were embracing each other?"

"No."

"Was it a kiss then?"

"I believe Ophelia Perez didn't mean to."

Magnus looked deeply into Juniper's eyes, frowning. "If Ophelia Perez wanted to kill someone, would you hand her the knife?"

He was really imagnative!!

Juniper was about to go to the terrace to check the situation but was pulled back by Magnus.

In the collision, their noses touched.

The atmosphere was chaotic.

Juniper looked at Magnus's slightly blushing face and quickly held him. "What's wrong with you?"

Magnus looked at her watery eyes and said hoarsely, "I need you."

Each word was crystal clear.

Before Juniper could understand what was happening, Magnus had already embraced her, burying his head in her neck and murmuring, "Juniper, help me upstairs, okay?"

"But what about Ophelia..."

"I need you more than Ophelia Perez does."

Magnus interrupted Juniper, mustering the last bit of willpower.

His gaze was deep and intense as he stared at her.

Juniper noticed something different about Magnus, touched his forehead, and found it burning hot.

As Magnus held her, his breath on her neck was scorching.

Could it be...

Juniper realized what was happening and helped Magnus into the elevator.

As the effects of the drug gradually kicked in, Magnus felt an uncontrollable restlessness creeping through his limbs.

When the elevator doors closed, Magnus suddenly pressed Juniper against the cold elevator wall.

A flutter of surprise caused Juniper's heart to stutter, her eyes expanding in astonishment.

She hadn't taken her Paroxetine pills today, and this close contact madeher involuntarily nervous.

Magnus held her hand, fingers intertwined, pressing them against the elevator wall.

Lowering his head, Magnus wanted to kiss her.

But Juniper's face turned pale.

Magnus touched her forehead, his gaze falling on her lips.

His voice was hoarse. "Are you afraid?"

Magnus's breath enveloped Juniper forcefully.

Juniper's thick lashes trembled slightly.

Juniper took several deep breaths before mustering the courage to look at Magnus and ask, "What will happen if we don't make love?"

"I'll die."

It would be unbearable.

The elevator reached the fifth floor.

Juniper supported Magnus as they entered the presidential suite.

As soon as the door closed, Magnus's scorching kisses rained down on her.

Juniper shivered all over, feeling suffocated.

"Magnus Blackwood..."

Magnus kissed Juniper's earlobe, his voice husky and seductive. "Don't be afraid. I'll be gentle, okay?"

Juniper was sweating cold.

For a patient with PTSD, what awaited her was not pleasure but torture.

Magnus kissed her with extraordinary restraint, from her earlobe to her neck, gentle as can be. "Juniper, tell me. If you don't want this, I won't do it."

Juniper instinctively wanted to struggle.

She wanted to push Magnus away.

But as Juniper met his eyes, tinged with suppressed anger, she couldn't help but soften.

Two extreme emotions tore her apart.

'Should I push Magnus away or submit to him?
