Chapter 384 Juniper, Let's Go Register for Marriage
Juniper tilted her head, feeling a bit ticklish from his touch. "Why are you becoming more like that cat, always bothering me when I'm busy?"
Magnus looked at her delicate profile and smiled slightly. "Maybe it's because, like the cat, I really like the lady of the house."
Juniper turned off the stove and took out the vegetables and eggs.
Two plates of delicious and nutritious vegetable and egg pasta were ready.
"Take it over and eat."
Magnus didn't move; his large hands still held her waist tightly. Leaning close to her neck, he suddenly said, "Juniper, let's go register our marriage."
He couldn't wait to be happy.
She stood there, wearing his shirt, simply cooking him a plate of pasta, which gave him endless warmth.
For a moment, he almost had the illusion that they had already started their married life.
Juniper was slightly stunned and turned to look at him. "Before we register, shouldn't we tell my dad?"
Magnus nodded. "Of course, I'll visit him in a while."
"What if my dad doesn't agree?"
Magnus half-joked, half-seriously said, "Then I'll stay at Christopher's Mansion until he agrees."
Juniper laughed. "You can be so shameless?"
"Juniper, I've been thinking about our married life for eight whole years."
Eight years, long enough.
Yet, he found it sweet.
For some reason, Juniper's nose felt a bit sour.
They sat at the island in the open kitchen, eating pasta.
It had been years since Juniper last made him pasta.
Despite their deep entanglement, their daily life was rare.
Juniper rarely cooked; her lungs weren't good, and the smell of oil and smoke made her cough violently. When they were together, Magnus wouldn't let her cook. Occasionally, when she did, it was just simple pasta.
Juniper was eating her pasta when she noticed Magnus hadn't started eating yet. He slowly took out his phone and snapped a photo.
Juniper was puzzled. "The pasta is almost clumped together, what's there to take a picture of?"
Magnus didn't say anything, just started eating after taking the photo.
After they finished eating, Magnus put the dishes in the dishwasher.
He hadn't used this dishwasher before and spent some time figuring out how to use it.
Juniper asked, "Did you fire Naomi and the chef?"
"No, after you and Jenny left, I gave them a vacation. I didn't need them since I was almost never home for meals."
Juniper hugged him from behind. "Call them back."
Hearing this, Magnus raised an eyebrow slightly. "Jenny is coming back?"
"No, I'm coming back."
Juniper's voice was calm.
Magnus was taken aback. He turned to look at her. "Are you trying to make me happy?"
"If you don't believe me, forget it."
Magnus pulled her into his arms. "You're not lying to me?"
Juniper responded, "But I'm coming back with a task. Mainly to manage Windsor Group's branch in the Imperial Capital. My dad said I should take charge and learn from you."
"So, Mr. Blackwood, please guide me in the future?"
Magnus suddenly lifted her, his large hands supporting her waist and hips, placing her on the kitchen counter.
"Let's start with a little guidance."
Juniper sat while he stood between her legs.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and asked, "What?"
His distinct fingers held her legs, placing them around his waist. Magnus kissed her, his voice deep. "Let's start with kissing."
He played with her legs.
Her slippers fell off.
The kiss grew more intense.
As they were about to lose control, Magnus maintained a bit of restraint. "I remember it's been four weeks?"
Actually, it had been more than four weeks, and they hadn't done it in a long time.
But Magnus was still afraid of hurting her, so he stopped and was about to carry her to bed.
Juniper, sitting on the counter, leaned forward slightly, cupped his face with her hands, and kissed him again.
Magnus's hands tightened around her waist, with a hint of warning. "If you keep this up, I really won't let you go."
Juniper's heart raced, her eyes fixed on him. "Don't you want to?"
He hesitated for a few seconds.
His last bit of calm and reason completely collapsed.
The fabric of his shirt was thoroughly wrinkled.
Their breaths grew more rapid and chaotic.
As he kissed her, he unbuttoned her shirt. She had already undone two buttons, and Magnus only needed to undo two more for the shirt to slip off her shoulders, pooling around her waist.
She instinctively shrank into his arms, her fingers clutching the fabric of his shirt, urging him, "To the bedroom."
