Chapter 332 Sold Out

Jenny picked up the cup, took a sip of milk, and said, "Grandpa really loves us! We're doing great, and we get to eat so many delicious things every day!"

Magnus's eyes darkened. "Better than in Imperial Capital?"

The little one picked up a piece of waffle and took a bite. "Yeah! Daddy, I've gained weight recently, and my tummy has gotten chubby! Grandpa's food is just so good!"

Magnus's brow furrowed involuntarily, a breath stuck in his chest, feeling a bit stifled. "We have these things in Imperial Capital too."

Jenny was eating happily, swinging her short legs leisurely. "But Mommy likes it here. Mommy says the air here is much better than in Imperial Capital. She doesn't cough as much since we came to Southern City!"

Magnus's heart skipped a beat. "Are you saying Mommy wants to stay here too?"

In the autumn and winter, Imperial Capital occasionally has dust storms, and indeed, the air wasn't as clean and moist as in Southern City.

For someone with lung issues, Southern City is indeed more livable than Imperial Capital.

Jenny, being young, wouldn't lie, only babble. "Daddy, I think you should move to Grandpa's house too! Grandpa treats us so well. Daddy, I kind of don't want to leave Grandpa."

Was it Grandpa she didn't want to leave, or Grandpa's delicious food?

For a moment, Magnus found it somewhat amusing.

In the past half month, he hadn't called Juniper, as he had been recuperating at the base.

Juniper hadn't called him either.

Thinking of this, the irritation in Magnus's chest grew heavier. "Did your mommy mention me?"

Jenny's little face was smeared with waffle crumbs. She looked at Magnus with innocent big eyes and said truthfully, "No."

Alright, very well.

It seemed she was quite happy.

Seeing Magnus's face turn colder, Jenny blinked her big eyes and couldn't help but comfort him. "Daddy, actually, there's another good news I forgot to tell you."

"Say it."

Jenny pondered for a few seconds, furrowing her little brows. "Daddy, promise me you'll be gentler with me in the future and not always be so stern, and I'll tell you."

"Hurry up and say it, don't dawdle."

"See, you're doing it again."

Magnus pressed his long fingers against his brow, feeling a bit impatient. "Forget it if you don't want to say it."

She quickly grabbed his clothes. "Mommy has a baby!"

"What nonsense are you talking about?"

At first, Magnus didn't react.

He looked at Jenny's serious and innocent expression and suddenly froze. "What did you say?"

"Daddy, is your hearing not good? I said, Mommy has a baby!"

Jenny leaned close to his ear and repeated it again.

This time, Magnus sat there, completely stunned.

Juniper was pregnant?

A huge wave of joy and excitement surged through his heart, shaking him to the core.

He looked at her in disbelief. "You're not making this up?"

Jenny rolled her eyes at him. "If you don't believe me, go ask Mommy! Daddy, why do you never believe me? I'm not a liar!"

Magnus fell silent.

At two in the afternoon.

Karen came out of the office and knocked on Juniper's desk. "Quinn, the client is here. Come with me to the eighth-floor conference room."

Juniper had taken a nap at noon and looked much better.

Accompanying them was another young female colleague.

Just before entering, Karen told the young subordinate, "Be alert later."

"Yes, Ms. Abbott."

As they pushed the door open and entered the conference room.

The client was already there.

The moment Juniper looked up, her heart skipped a beat.

Magnus stood there, his eyes behind the glasses also looking at her.

Their eyes met across the room.

Karen greeted first, her smile bright as if seeing a big client. "Mr. Blackwood, nice to see you again. How's your stay at the Shilla Hotel since you arrived in Southern City last night?"

Magnus's lips curved slightly. "Not bad."

Then, a few more colleagues entered the conference room, including people from the legal department and the new energy department.

The conference room had a long table, with the client and the company sitting on opposite sides, facing each other, with over ten people seated.

Karen asked, "Mr. Blackwood, what would you like to drink?"

"Anything."

Actually, there were many bottles of mineral water on the conference table.

But for important clients, the pantry usually also prepares tea and coffee.

Juniper sat to Karen's right.

Karen suddenly leaned over and instructed her, "You know what Mr. Blackwood likes to drink. Go to the pantry and prepare it."

Juniper frowned at her, feeling a bit speechless.

Karen feigned ignorance and whispered, "Why are you looking at me like that? I'm your leader now, go quickly."

Juniper finally understood what Karen was up to.

She maintained a polite smile. "I'll go prepare some drinks."

As she stood up and walked towards the conference room door.

Magnus's gaze discreetly followed her.

Juniper was wearing a light-colored suit, with her long legs under the skirt, well-proportioned and beautifully lined. But on her feet, she wore a pair of nude high heels.

Pregnant and wearing such high heels, if she twisted her ankle...

Magnus's brow furrowed with concern.

He stood up and said, "Excuse me, everyone, I need to use the restroom."

Karen subtly curled her red lips. "Sure, the restroom is to the right after you exit, past the pantry, and then a bit further inside. Mr. Blackwood, do you need someone to show you the way?"

She gave the directions clearly.

"No need."

Juniper walked to the pantry, made a few cups of coffee, and brewed some tea.

She was just about to carry the tray back.

As she turned, the drinks in her hand almost spilled.

Magnus caught the tray from her hand and placed the drinks on the nearby bar counter.

His hand already grasped her wrist, gently pulling her into his arms. "Aren't high heels tiring?"

Juniper didn't answer, directly pulling away from him, adjusting her clothes, her attitude somewhat cold. "Mr. Blackwood, this is Windsor Group. It's not appropriate to be seen by others."

Magnus thought she was being distant because of the setting, the long time apart, and the previous unpleasantness. Naturally, Juniper would be a bit estranged from him.

Indeed, there was still business to discuss at this point.

Magnus didn't rush to say anything, only standing behind her and asking, "Is your allergy better? Let me see."

Juniper blocked his hand. "Mr. Blackwood, let's go back and discuss business first."

Being seen like this in the pantry by the company's people would not be good.

Juniper took the opportunity to carry the tray and left.

Magnus stood there, feeling quite neglected.

He walked behind her, his gaze behind the glasses falling on her steps.

Those high heels looked quite dangerous.

As they were about to reach the conference room door, Magnus suddenly said, "Next time, wear flat shoes."

Did he have to control what shoes she wears too?

Just as she was about to say something, Magnus had already opened the door and taken the tray from her hand.
