Chapter 337 Magnus, the Baby is Gone

Magnus suddenly lowered his head and sealed her lips.

His lips and tongue ravaged her mouth heavily, kissing deeply, leaving Juniper almost breathless.

She was completely enveloped in his arms, her high heels making it hard to stand steady.

Magnus supported her waist, and only after he was satisfied with the kiss did he slightly release her, looking into her misty eyes, and said seriously, "It's fine if you want to reassess my creditworthiness. But Juniper, you can't just throw me away."

His voice was low and hoarse, carrying an undeniable dominance.

Juniper hadn't yet recovered when Magnus already had his arm around her waist, hooked her leg, and lifted her horizontally.

This was a restaurant, and although it had been cleared, it was still not convenient to talk.

The dishes on the table were barely eaten.

Magnus carried Juniper out of the top-floor observation restaurant and went to the executive suite on the ninth floor.

Once in the room.

As soon as Juniper's feet touched the ground, she wanted to get up and leave.

Magnus grabbed her back, carried her to the bed, and frowned, instructing, "Sit."

Magnus took off his trench coat, loosened his tie, and threw it aside.

He unbuttoned two buttons of his shirt.

He also removed his platinum cufflinks and tossed them on the bedside table, rolling up his shirt sleeves to reveal a section of his strong and smooth arm.

Only then did his agitation slightly subside.

She sat on the edge of the bed, and he stood in front of her.

He looked down at her, scrutinizing her, "Didn't you just accuse me of a lot of things? You can't leave until you finish saying everything tonight."

How could a man be so unreasonable?

Juniper took a deep breath, "I have nothing more to say. It's almost ten o'clock. If I don't go back, my dad will worry."

Magnus seemed completely unconcerned with her poor excuse.

He lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on the high heels she was wearing, and finally let out a barely audible sigh, bending down.

He knelt on one knee in front of her.

He held her ankle and took off her high heels.

Then, gently, he lifted her and placed her on the bed to lean against.

Magnus pulled a chair closer, sat by the bed, and just looked at her, "You're done talking, right?"

Juniper didn't know what he wanted to do.

"Now it's my turn."

His voice was a bit cold, his face looked severe, and he seemed very difficult to deal with.

Magnus was never a good-tempered person, nor a good man.

He sat there, appearing so calm, but the darkness in his eyes was turbulent and intense.

He stared at her without blinking, and after a long time, he finally spoke slowly, "It was wrong of me to lie to you so many times before, I'm sorry."

"Juniper, I promise, I won't lie to you again."

"I know you might not believe my promise now. To you, my credit is already maxed out. But you can reassess my creditworthiness, and you set the time limit."

"If you want to cool off, that's fine, but you can't throw me away. Other than that, you can do whatever you want to me."

He paused, his deep gaze falling on her flat abdomen.

He continued, "You are not in good condition, and it's not suitable for you to work at Windsor Group right now. Karen took you out drinking, but for your sake, I won't hold her accountable for now."

Juniper was confused, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, temporarily leave Windsor Group. You're pregnant, and it's not suitable for high-intensity socializing and work right now."

Pregnant?

Seeing Juniper stunned, Magnus thought she was unwilling to leave Windsor Group.

He sat down beside her, wrapped his arm around her, and held her tightly.

One hand held her, while the other gently touched her extremely flat abdomen.

He lowered his head and kissed the top of her head, his voice softening with a hint of tenderness, "How many weeks? Why is it still so flat? Are you eating too little?"

Juniper was trapped in his arms, her face stiff, her eyes a bit vacant and unfocused.

She said woodenly, "It should be six weeks."

Six weeks?

That was already more than a month.

Magnus remembered half a month ago when he went to Solara to see her; she was already pregnant then.

That night, they had made love so recklessly.

His movements in holding her became even gentler, afraid of hurting her, "Why didn't you tell me before? That night in Solara, did I hurt you? Did you go to the hospital for a check-up?"

He pressed his forehead against hers, his gaze full of tenderness and expectation.

Juniper looked at him, extremely calm, "Magnus, I can work at Windsor Group."

"Juniper, don't take your health for granted."

"I mean, the baby is gone."
