Chapter 264 I Only Want You

Such a gorgeous wedding dress, who wouldn't love it?

"If you like it, I'll buy it. But the store's closed now. How about we come back tomorrow?"

Magnus said it so casually, like he was talking about picking up some mil, yet the price tag in the window was a staggering $6 million.

Juniper glanced up at Magnus and smiled. "Wedding dresses are for getting married. We're not exactly tying the knot right now."

Plus, most people only wore their wedding dress once, so they usually rented. Even some celebs didn't buy theirs; they got them through brand deals.

Ophelia, who had been in the entertainment biz for years, always said that a lot of the gowns celebs wore were rented. Even the B-listers got sponsored dresses. Who had the cash to buy a new fancy dress for every event?

Magnus looked down at her, his eyes soft and indulgent, and said in a husky voice, "Don't you like it?"

"It's too expensive," she replied.

She thought, 'I can't wear it every day; it's just for show.'

Magnus thought her worries were silly. "Money's the last thing I lack right now."

Juniper teased. "Then why did you ask me to pay you back before?"

That $1.5 billion was the biggest debt Juniper had ever seen.

She had freak out over a $150,000 credit card bill, let alone $1.5 billion. Even if she worked her whole life, she couldn't come up with that kind of money.

Sure enough, Magnus frowned and gave a little cough. "If I hadn't asked you to pay it back, you would've run away."

When he said this, his deep eyes were dead serious, no joke.

Juniper's ears turned red, and she mumbled, "I wouldn't. Jenny's still with you. Where could I go?"

Back then, she just didn't know how to face him, let alone make peace with herself.

Magnus looked down at her.

Juniper stared at the ground.

After a moment, Juniper slipped her hands inside his coat and hugged his waist tightly. "It's so cold. Let's go home."

Magnus let her hug him and glanced at the wedding dress in the window.

He'd never seen Juniper in a wedding dress, but he couldn't help imagining how stunning she'd look.

If it weren't for everything that happened later, they would've been married by now.

They would've had a grand wedding, letting everyone know they were a couple.

But now, even though she had his child, he couldn't marry her.

"Juniper," he said, pulling her into his arms.

Juniper looked up at him, her eyes bright like stars.

The cold wind made his eyes a bit red.

Magnus's Adam's apple bobbed, and finally, all his unspoken words turned into a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Nothing, I just feel like I haven't given you enough."

But Juniper thought that since they had just reconciled, this relationship was just beginning, never imagining it would also be the end.

It was close to midnight, and most of the shops on the street were closed, except for the 24-hour convenience stores.

The long street was dimly lit and deserted.

The wind stung her face, but nestled in his arms, she felt incredibly warm and secure.

Juniper looked up, wrapped her arms around his neck, pulled him down, and kissed him. "I don't want much. If I can have you, everything else is just a bonus."

The kiss was light but enticing.

Magnus gently cradled the back of her head, deepening the kiss until she was slightly out of breath, and they finally parted a little.

Their warm breaths mingled in the cold night air.

Magnus pressed his forehead against hers. "What do you want?"

If he could give it, he would.

She looked at him seriously and said, "Magnus, I just want you."

Her voice was clear and cool, yet soft and firm.

Hearing this, he was momentarily stunned.

He stared at her for a long time, feeling her words carried too much weight. He smiled playfully and led her to the car. "It's too cold outside. Let's go to the car."

"I didn't mean that kind of want," Juniper said.

He raised an eyebrow, his dark eyes teasing. "Then what do you mean?"

"I don't want," Juniper said, feeling helpless.

"You don't want me?" Magnus asked.

Juniper's face turned a light shade of red, and she corrected him seriously, "I don't mean that."

Magnus deliberately played word games with her, making it hard to explain.

He helped her into the car, his black figure enveloping her. Magnus had a strong presence, naturally authoritative and commanding.

But now, as he leaned over, his eyes were filled with a gentle tenderness. He kissed the corner of her lips, clearly coaxing her. "Why don't you want to make love with me? Is it uncomfortable? Did I hurt you?"

Juniper was momentarily speechless.

He looked at her intently, his voice low and magnetic in her ear, very objective and precise. "Juniper, I wasn't rough these past few times."

Juniper was left speechless, her face burning. "You're misunderstanding me. That's not what I meant."

He stared at her slightly parted lips and said, "I thought that kiss was a hint."

A perfectly timed assumption.

Just as Juniper was about to retort, her lips were sealed again.

Magnus pulled her onto his lap, one large hand gently caressing the back of her neck, the other around her waist. The kiss grew deeper and more indulgent, yet he was still mindful of her feelings. "Do you like it? Do you want more?"

Juniper shamelessly gave up resisting and responded softly.

She thought she might as well die, who could resist such seduction?

Finally, he asked what flavor she liked.

Juniper's face turned red to her neck. "Rose flavor?"

"Are you teasing me, Juniper? There's no rose flavor." Magnus smiled.

She swore she just said it casually, not on purpose.

Seeing his face darken, Juniper suddenly felt delighted as she hugged his neck.

She finally got her revenge.

She said deliberately, "Then go buy it?"

Magnus bit her ear hard, his breath slightly erratic. "Are you deliberately torturing me?"

At this point, did she really want him to go buy condoms?

Seeing the veins on his forehead throbbing, she was about to say forget it.

But Magnus actually straightened his clothes, took her hand, and smiled. "Let's go together."

Juniper stiffened as he teased her back.

Stopping halfway was uncomfortable for both of them.

Magnus buttoned up her silk shirt under her coat, got out of the car first, and then extended his hand to her.

Juniper gritted her teeth and got out of the car with him, heading to the 24-hour convenience store across the street.

But she was quite curious. Did condoms really come in rose flavor?

It seemed like the more common flavors were strawberry and mint.

At the convenience store's checkout counter, there happened to be hot dogs for sale.

Juniper was hungry and bought one.

Magnus didn't like these things. He stood in front of the shelf, scanned it, but he didn't find what he was looking for, so he directly asked the cashier, "Do you have rose-flavored condoms?"

The cashier, a young girl, was stunned by the question, clearly taken aback.

Juniper almost choked. "We'll find it ourselves."
