Chapter 268 Tonight, She Is His Bride

If Juniper just stayed out of the spotlight during this whole mess, it might not really helped, and people online might have taken a while to forget.

If they went public with Magnus and Juniper's real relationship, it could have backfire big time, dragging SY back into bad press.

Someone who lied in court, whether they wanted to or were forced, had a criminal record that was set in stone and couldn't be wiped clean.

No matter what Magnus said, the public didn't see Juniper as a good or respectable person.

Seeing Magnus frowning and quiet for a long time, Paul seemed to catch on to his thoughts and said cautiously, "Mr. Blackwood, at this crucial moment, the Shadow Syndicate is definitely lurking. One wrong move, and we lose everything. Ms. Beaumont is reasonable and will surely understand."

Even though Jesse from PR used some shady tactics, it worked like a charm, flipping SY's situation around in the middle of all the negativity.

It was a clear win.

Hearing this, Magnus smirked bitterly. "I just gave her a wedding dress this morning, and now I have to publicly distance myself from her? Are you saying Juniper deserves to be wronged just because she's well-mannered and reasonable?"

Paul gulped and held his breath, not daring to speak.

Magnus closed his eyes, a hint of red in them, and chuckled lightly. "Do you think she will hate me?"

"No... no. Ms. Beaumont is not unreasonable," Paul said.

But she would be completely disappointed, right?

However, if this could be used to push her to leave on her own, wasn't that part of his plan all along?

He calculated everyone, including himself.

SY's stock price tanking was part of his plan.

Being photographed with Juniper at Urban Oasis Plaza was another part, and the breakup leak was a trap he set up.

Such a scene, if not deliberately guided, who would think of a breakup?

In the stock market, there was a saying that rumors had a way of becoming truth if they circulated long enough.

The breakup news, once spread, became real, and this was the power of public opinion to crush the opponent's mentality.

He calculated all this to force Juniper to leave, to the only way out.

When Magnus got back, it was already past nine in the evening.

Royal View was brightly lit.

Juniper and Jenny had already had dinner.

Seeing him return, Jenny pulled Juniper's hand and said, "Daddy's back, Mommy, go put on the wedding dress, I want to see the bride!"

It made Juniper pause slightly.

Magnus sat on the sofa, loosening his tie, looking a bit tired, and smiled at her. "Go change, see if it fits."

"That wedding dress is a bit tricky to put on, I'll ask Naomi to help me," Juniper said.

Magnus nodded and responded lightly, "Okay."

Jenny followed. "Mommy, I'll help you too."

Juniper went upstairs to the dressing room.

The wedding dress was heavy and took a long time to put on.

As Naomi tightened the laces on her back, she looked at Juniper in the mirror and couldn't help but exclaim, "So beautiful! You are even more beautiful than the stars I see on TV! I think it would look better with your hair down!"

At home, Juniper dressed casually, usually tying her long hair into a low bun.

She took off the hair tie, letting her long, wavy hair fall over her shoulders, with a soft sheen.

But she wasn't wearing makeup. Although her skin was fair and delicate, her features outstanding, her lips were a bit pale without lipstick.

Unable to move much in the wedding dress, she pointed to the lipstick on the vanity. "Naomi, can you get me a lipstick?"

Naomi handed her a lipstick that Juniper often used. "Ms. Beaumont, is this shade okay?"

"Yeah, that's perfect." Juniper applied a bit of lipstick, instantly looking much more vibrant and radiant.

Jenny was mesmerized, her eyes sparkling as she hugged Juniper. "Mommy, you're so beautiful! Can you marry me?"

Naomi laughed. "Your mommy is going to marry your daddy, how can she marry you? You can be their little flower girl."

Jenny was curious. "What's a flower girl?"

Naomi explained, "A flower girl is someone who walks ahead of the bride and groom at their wedding, carrying a flower basket."

Juniper looked at herself in the full-length mirror, thinking about meeting Magnus soon, and felt a bit nervous.

Wearing this luxurious wedding dress, for a moment, Juniper felt like she was really going to marry Magnus.

Naomi and Jenny walked behind Juniper, helping her with the train of the wedding dress.

Juniper held onto the staircase railing, descending step by step.

Magnus, sitting on the sofa, heard the footsteps and looked up.

Jenny somehow found a basket of rose petals, grabbed a handful, and threw them into the air. "The bride is here!"

Pink rose petals scattered all over the floor.

Their eyes met, and Magnus stood up, seemingly really welcoming his bride.

Juniper held a corner of her wedding dress, smiling sweetly as she walked towards him.

It was obviously not a long distance, but these tens of seconds felt like an eternity.

If Juniper had a bridal crown on her head, it would look even more real.

When Juniper reached him, Magnus's intense, emotional gaze was so warm it nearly made Juniper feel a bit embarrassed.

She felt a bit uneasy, adjusting the wedding dress at her chest. "Does it look good?"

"Yeah, it looks amazing." Magnus nodded.

Juniper wore a wedding dress for the first time, and Magnus's eyes sparkled with amazement.

Jenny ran over, grabbing Juniper's hand and placing it in Magnus's. "Daddy, I'm giving Mommy to you!"

Naomi, watching them from the side, couldn't stop smiling. "Mr. Blackwood, Ms. Beaumont, you should just go ahead and have the wedding! Such a beautiful wedding dress, it would be a pity not to wear it at a wedding!"

The speaker had no intention, but the listener took it to heart.

Since Magnus returned safely, everyone around her seemed to be asking when the wedding would be.

Everyone seemed to assume they would have a grand wedding.

There were some things, once urged by everyone, it was difficult to shirk.

Magnus just looked at her deeply, without speaking. A few seconds later, he suddenly picked her up, smiling. "Isn't it time to go to the bedroom?"

Juniper's ears burned.

Magnus carried Juniper upstairs.

Jenny wanted to follow, but Naomi grabbed her. "Jenny, where are you going?"

"To see Daddy and Mommy! Naomi, aren't you going?" Jenny replied.

Naomi blushed, covering the little one's mouth. "Jenny, do your homework! This is not for kids!"

Upstairs, Magnus carried Juniper to the bedroom, and she sat on his lap.

The wedding dress was cumbersome, making Juniper uncomfortable. The fabric was stiff and not skin-friendly. She frowned. "It's a bit uncomfortable, I want to change into pajamas."

He leaned in, his large hand caressing her bare back, his long fingers on the intricate laces of her wedding dress, gently pulling but not removing it.

At the same time, he kissed her red lips. "Try it once in the wedding dress?"

He wanted to remember her in the wedding dress forever.

Tonight, she was his bride.
