Chapter 380 Give Him a Surprise
From Skyville back to Southern City.
As soon as the car arrived at the entrance of Christopher's Mansion, Jenny came running out, screaming, "Mom!"
Juniper got out of the car, and the little one crashed into her thigh.
She squatted down to lift Jenny, almost straining her back. "Jenny, it's only been two weeks, and I can't lift you anymore?"
Jenny was particularly proud. "Really! That means I'm growing up! When I grow up, I won't have to do homework anymore!"
Juniper laughed and pinched her cheek.
Christopher and Jerry also came out of the house.
Juniper held Jenny's hand and walked over.
Christopher smiled and said, "It's cold in the yard, let's go inside."
Inside the house, it was as warm as spring.
Jenny was only wearing a pink sweater, curled up in Juniper's arms, showing off her recent proud work.
"Mom, do you like my painting?"
It was a watercolor painting.
Juniper asked, "You've started learning watercolor?"
Jenny nodded her little chin, "Grandpa found me a teacher. I wanted to draw SpongeBob and Patrick Star after watching cartoons, but they turned out ugly, so Grandpa got me a teacher."
Juniper patted the little one's head, seriously looking at the watercolor paintings, and praised, "You've only been learning for half a month, and you can already draw Patrick Star so well."
Jenny squinted her big eyes, "Mom, am I awesome?"
"Jenny is awesome! Later, Mom will buy some frames online to frame your paintings and hang them in your room, okay?"
"Okay! Next time Dad comes, I'll show him!"
Speaking of Magnus.
Christopher, sitting on the sofa, glanced at Juniper and asked with a hint of meaning, "What are Magnus's plans now?"
Juniper was taken aback. "I haven't told him about opening a restaurant in the Imperial Capital yet."
Christopher, unhurried, chuckled, "When you return to the Imperial Capital, will Jenny go back too?"
Juniper knew Christopher was very fond of Jenny.
During this time, he probably spoiled Jenny to no end.
She glanced down at the little one playing with a tablet and said, "Dad, we'll stay in Southern City for a while longer. I want to take advantage of the winter break to take Jenny on a trip with Magnus. She hasn't gone on a trip with us for so many years; it's our fault."
Christopher naturally understood. "After the trip, bring Jenny back to me! You two can focus on your careers in the Imperial Capital, and I'll take care of Jenny. With me and Jerry watching her, it's more reassuring than a nanny!"
He was semi-retired now, with not much to do at the group. He usually stayed home, watching stocks and financial news, keeping up with the outside world.
He went to the group two or three times a week for meetings and inspections, so he had plenty of time to take care of his granddaughter.
Juniper had no objections. When she returned to the Imperial Capital, she would indeed be very busy.
Christopher asked, "Jenny, how about studying at Grandpa's place in the future?"
Jenny got excited, "Grandpa, do you mean you'll help me with my homework, and Dad won't?"
"Pretty much. Jenny, are you happy with it?"
Jenny squinted her big eyes and grinned widely, "Yes!"
Finally, she could escape Dad's control!
Juniper laughed, "You really don't like being managed by Dad, huh? He's doing it for your own good."
Jenny frowned and said, "But I already know how to do it. I have to study non-stop every day; I'm very tired! I'm not a spinning top that can keep going! Dad is a spinning top; I don't want to be a little spinning top! My teacher said kids should grow up happily first and then be spinning tops when they grow up. Anyway, we'll be spinning tops for decades!"
Juniper was stunned, "Your private tutor told you these big truths?"
Jenny pouted, "Kids can understand big truths too!"
Speaking of private tutors.
Christopher said, "Although the private tutor is good, and Jenny is keeping up with her studies, I still think she should go to school after the New Year. Kids should experience group life; it's always right."
Juniper had no objections, only asked, "Jenny, in a while, you really don't want to go back to the Imperial Capital with Mom?"
Jenny shook her head, her big eyes serious, "I want to stay here and enjoy life."
Juniper was speechless.
Christopher laughed heartily, "Haha!"
Juniper couldn't help but remind, "Dad, don't spoil her too much, or she won't listen to anyone in the future."
Magnus's slightly strict education wasn't entirely right, but it was the safest.
Christopher laughed heartily, "I know what I'm doing. This little one won't be spoiled. Jenny, I'm so good to you; will you help Grandpa manage the company in the future?"
Jenny raised her little neck and said loudly, "Yes!"
"Managing a company is very tiring, more tiring than doing homework!"
Jenny, like a little adult, patted Christopher's hand, "Grandpa, you're so good to me. Even if I don't manage Dad's company, I'll manage yours. Don't worry!"
Juniper burst out laughing, "Jenny, if Dad hears you say that, he'll spank you."
Jenny frowned seriously, "Grandpa is older than Dad. When I grow up, Grandpa will be in heaven! If I don't help him, who will? Poor Grandpa!"
Juniper and Christopher were both speechless.
At night, Juniper helped Jenny take a bath.
After the little one fell asleep, Juniper was about to go back to her room when her phone rang.
The caller ID showed Magnus.
She couldn't help but smile and answered the phone, "Hello?"
"Back in Southern City?"
"Magnus, your news is too late. I arrived in Southern City at noon."
Magnus frowned, "Then why didn't you call me earlier?"
Juniper originally wanted to say she would be back in a few days for the school anniversary, but she swallowed the words.
She wanted to surprise him.
"After the long journey, I took a nap and spent the afternoon painting with Jenny."
Magnus asked gently, "What did you paint?"
Juniper smiled, "A family of three."
Magnus chuckled, "Does that mean you acknowledge my identity?"
"Yes, I acknowledge you as Jenny's dad."
Magnus was speechless.
After finishing her work in Skyville, Juniper took a few days off.
Two days later.
Juniper returned to the Imperial Capital.
Tomorrow was the school anniversary, so she returned to Royal View a day early.
There was no one in Royal View, not even Naomi.
Since going to Solara, she hadn't returned.
The door had her fingerprint recorded, so she easily opened it.
As soon as she entered, the cat meowed.
Seeing the familiar figure of its owner, it immediately ran to her feet, wrapping around her legs for a hug.
Juniper put down her bag, squatted down, and picked up the cat, "Why are you home alone?"
The cat meowed again.
It was hungry.
Juniper poured a plate of cat food and squatted on the ground, watching the cat gobble it up, laughing, "How many days has your dad starved you?"
