Chapter 309 So Weak

Whether Magnus was easy to get along with completely depended on who he was dealing with.

He was somewhat reserved, with only a few friends, and he only let his guard down around Juniper and Jenny.

The business world was like a battlefield, where profit reigned supreme. Having witnessed endless deceit and climbed up from the bottom, it was hard to believe in the goodness of human nature.

He once told Jenny not to easily trust strangers.

In the past, Magnus hadn't received much kindness from the world. As a unique and unconventional genius, he was often ostracized.

Juniper gently brushed his eyebrows, recalling his three gloomy and unfulfilled years in prison, feeling a pang of sorrow and heartache.

Juniper smiled warmly, "Magnus, from now on, Jenny and I will give you a home."

She wasn't trying to seduce him; her clear and pure eyes were free of any lustful impurities. But when she said those words, something seemed to stir within him.

Magnus lifted her onto the bed, leaned down to kiss her, a low chuckle escaping his throat, but his eyes were filled with seriousness and emotion. "Juniper, did we get it mixed up?"

The proposal had been initiated by her. And now she was saying she would give him a home.

Juniper lay beneath him, cupping his face with her hands. "But didn't you say you liked it when I took the initiative?"

She had always been more passive and reserved, not unwilling to take the initiative, but it depended on who it was.

If such small gestures could double their happiness and joy, she was willing to be a bit braver and more proactive.

Whenever she took the initiative, Magnus got aroused. He reached for the box of condoms on the bedside table and opened it.

He gently bit her ear, a mischievous smile on his face. "So, are you taking the initiative tonight?"

Juniper asked blankly, "How do I take the initiative?"

Juniper hadn't experienced much variety in this area, and Magnus, afraid of scaring her, rarely used any tricks on her in this regard.

Magnus held her waist with one hand and supported her hips with the other, gently lifting her to sit on his waist. Cowgirl position.

Juniper's face turned bright red.

After a long time, Juniper, sweaty and exhausted, lay in his arms, too tired to move. Even her fingers were limp.

Magnus glanced down at her, gently tucking her sweat-dampened hair behind her ear, lovingly kissing her forehead, and pinching her cheek with his long fingers. "Will you dare to take the initiative again?"

Juniper buried her face in his chest, letting out a whimper, and pinched the muscle on his arm hard.

His hoarse voice was tinged with teasing laughter, "So weak."

She was utterly exhausted.

Magnus, however, wasn't satisfied yet. He thrust for a while before reluctantly pulling away.

Finally, Magnus got up, carried her to the bathroom to clean up, and wrapped her in a dry, soft robe.

Pulling up the covers, Juniper lay beside him, already closing her eyes to rest.

Magnus, however, wasn't sleepy. He glanced at his phone; it was past 2 a.m. His original plan was to leave Solara at 8 a.m. the next morning.

There were less than six hours left to spend together.

He turned to her, propping his head on one hand to watch her.

In the master bedroom, only a small warm orange nightlight was on, casting a soft glow on her serene and beautiful face, making her look gentle and lovely.

Magnus couldn't help but lower his head, kissing her forehead and nose.

Juniper, tired and sleepy, wrapped her arms around his neck, mumbling softly, "Go to sleep, stop messing around."

He rubbed her head, remembering something, and said in a deep voice, "You sleep first."

It was morning back home, and the stock market had just opened.

Magnus leaned against the headboard, took Juniper's phone, and bought her two stocks.

One was in the medical industry, and the other in semiconductors.

Both were at a low point, and as long as the timeline was extended, buying in wouldn't result in a loss.

After buying, Magnus put the phone back. He lay down, holding Juniper, his voice warm and low. "Baby, I just bought you ten million dollars' worth of stocks. While you're in Solara with nothing to do, you can study the stock trends."

Juniper had never traded stocks.

She asked groggily, "What if I lose? Do I have to pay you back the principal?"

Magnus paused, then laughed, "Still remember that fifteen billion dollar debt?"

Juniper turned over, pulling the covers over her head. "What if it's another trap..."

Magnus looked at the back of her head, laughing in exasperation. 'Is she traumatized by repaying debts?'

He pulled her over, promising, "If you lose, it's on me. If you win, it's yours."

Juniper, too tired to think, nodded vaguely and fell into a deep sleep. When she woke up, it was already 10 a.m.

Jenny came running over, screaming excitedly, "Mom! Who built the snowman in the yard? It even says it's Jenny!"

Juniper finally woke up, pressing her head as she sat up.

Magnus was already gone.

On the bedside table, there was only a sticky note: [The schedule was too tight, and you were sleeping soundly, so I didn't have the heart to wake you. I've left, take good care of yourself.]

Juniper felt a slight pang in her heart.

Jenny came over. "Mom, what are you looking at? Get up and come see the snowman in the yard with me!"

Juniper was pulled up by Jenny, quickly washed up, and wrapped in a down jacket, running to the yard with her.

In the yard, there was an adorably ugly little snowman.

Jenny, hands on her hips and frowning, complained, "Who built this? And it's me? Mom, am I this ugly?"

Juniper awkwardly smiled, "It's clearly the person who built the snowman who lacks skill."

Jenny looked at the ugly snowman helplessly, agreeing, "I think so too! It's not cute at all! But who built it, Mom? I asked Selina and the others this morning, and it wasn't them."

This snowman was most likely built by Magnus for Jenny before he left. But if Jenny knew that her dad had come last night and they hadn't woken her up, there would definitely be a lot of wailing.

So Juniper made up a white lie. "It must have been Santa Claus. He knew you liked snowmen, so he built one for you overnight."

Jenny was half-convinced, scratching her head. "Santa Claus should be good at building snowmen! How could he build such an ugly one? Or does it really look like me? Am I this ugly?"

Juniper chuckled, "Of course not. Is it ugly? I think it's quite cute. Let's give it a makeover. Go to the kitchen and ask Selina to bring some carrots."

Jenny nodded cheerfully. "Okay!"

Jenny brought a lot of vegetables, and after Juniper's makeover, the ugly snowman turned into a deluxe one.

Jenny was overjoyed, snuggling up to the snowman. "Mom, take a picture of me with the snowman!"

Juniper opened the camera and took several photos in a row. Then, she sent them to Magnus.
