Chapter 400 Magnus is the Champion of Sarcasm (2)
For instance, he was wealthy, and he knew it well. He wouldn't be foolish enough to ask others if they thought he was rich. The fact that he had money was an undisputed objective reality.
Similarly, Juniper would never ask others if they thought she was beautiful. Her beauty was universally acknowledged; she didn't need to prove anything. To seek further validation would be nothing but blatant showing off.
Juniper wanted to cover Magnus's mouth.
This guy's words were truly sharp!
Clio was deeply hurt, and the tears that were on the verge of falling finally streamed down.
Juniper handed her a tissue, "His eyesight isn't great, don't take it to heart."
Magnus was speechless.
Fortunately, they had arrived at Clio's apartment complex.
Juniper parked the car by the roadside.
Clio said goodbye to them and got out of the car.
As soon as she got out, Magnus let out a long sigh of relief, opened the passenger side window, and took a breath of fresh air.
The air inside the car was refreshed.
Only then did Magnus ask, "Who exactly is she?"
Juniper was surprised, "You really don't remember? My old roommate who used to eat with us. We had meals together in the cafeteria several times."
His memory was so good, how could he not remember by now?
Magnus thought for a long time, squinting his eyes, "The one who interfered with our dating?"
Juniper laughed out loud, "Is that how you talk about people? She didn't bother you, did she?"
He had never liked her much before.
She used to cling to Juniper for meals all the time, like a third wheel, and now she was back again.
Magnus didn't want to interfere with Juniper's freedom to make friends, but Clio's hypocritical demeanor was too obvious.
He gently reminded, "She has too many ulterior motives."
Juniper responded, her mind clear, "Taking her home was just to repay the last bit of kindness. We won't be in touch anymore."
After losing contact for many years, an old classmate suddenly reappearing and acting overly familiar usually had bad motives.
As for whether Clio had any thoughts about Magnus or her, Juniper didn't care.
She thought Clio's involvement was over.
But just as Juniper drove to the door of Royal View and Magnus unbuckled his seatbelt, leaning over to kiss her...
Clio's message popped up: [Juniper, I think I left my lipstick in the car. Can you check if it's there?]
Juniper was a bit speechless.
Magnus raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's she up to now?"
Juniper smiled helplessly, "She said she left her lipstick in the car. Her bag must be a big sieve."
Despite saying this, Juniper got out of the car and searched the back seat.
A black tube of lipstick.
Juniper wanted to see what Clio was up to, so she replied to her message.
[Found it, it's in the back seat.]
Clio quickly replied: [I just bought this lipstick yesterday and only used it once. Juniper, if you and Magnus are busy, give me your address and I'll come pick it up myself.]
Magnus had already gotten out of the car and walked over to Juniper, asking in a low voice, "What's she trying to do?"
Juniper blinked and said playfully, "She wants to visit your place. Are you welcoming her?"
Magnus pinched her cheek, "How is it my place? Isn't this your home?"
Juniper hadn't replied for a moment.
Clio sent another message: [Juniper, are you free tomorrow? I'll come by to get the lipstick and won't take up much of your time.]
The tone seemed very considerate of them.
Magnus took her hand and led her inside, "Ignore her for now. You're not a delivery driver."
Delivery driver?
Juniper suddenly had an idea, "I could call a delivery service to send the lipstick to her place."
Magnus looked at her and smiled, suggesting a more straightforward approach.
"Throw the lipstick away, send her some money, and block her."
It hadn't reached the point of making things awkward for both sides.
Clio hadn't done anything terribly wrong, and Juniper didn't want to leave a bad impression in the alumni circle.
After all, her reputation was already bad enough.
She didn't care about others' opinions now, but if she were to marry Magnus, she would be another face of SY. A bad reputation wouldn't be good for Magnus or SY.
Moreover, she was planning to return to the Imperial Capital for her career. She might encounter these people in the business world again. Unless it involved significant interests, she didn't want to strain relationships too much.
Juniper rejected Magnus's suggestion, "Your method is too offensive. I'll call a delivery service tomorrow. It will shut her up and avoid any gossip."
Magnus, inherently bold and reckless, pulled Juniper into his arms and said in a deep voice, "What are you afraid of? If she dares to say anything about you, she won't be able to survive in the Imperial Capital."
Juniper wrapped her arms around his waist, looking up at him with a smile, "Mr. Blackwood, are you teaching me how to abuse power?"
He leaned down, pressing her against the entrance, and kissed her, "If Mrs. Blackwood doesn't want to rely on my power, all my efforts would be in vain."
His lips and tongue invaded.
There was a hint of intoxicating alcohol on his breath.
Juniper tilted her head slightly, taking the initiative to respond to his kiss.
Magnus seemed very satisfied, his large hand gripping the back of her neck, pressing her against the cabinet, kissing her harder and deeper.
The faint smell of alcohol was intoxicating.
When their lips and tongues parted slightly, Juniper wrapped her arms around his neck, looking into his deep eyes, and said, "It's not that I don't want to rely on your power, but having a bad reputation and making too many enemies isn't good. Magnus, I also want you to be proud when people mention Mrs. Blackwood, not see her as a stain on your life."
Magnus rested his forehead against hers, gently pinching her face, and smiled lightly, "Why are you so eloquent tonight?"
"I'm being serious."
"Alright, I understand. Juniper, you care a lot about how others see me."
Although it was a rhetorical question, his tone was assertive.
But he wanted Juniper to answer.
Juniper lowered her gaze slightly and softly responded.
Suddenly, Magnus lifted her up.
Juniper's heart skipped a beat, and she tightened her grip around his neck, "What are you doing?"
As soon as she asked, Juniper realized the question was redundant.
Magnus's gaze was deep and intense, and very bold.
He carried her to the bathroom.
Clothes fell to the floor, one piece after another.
The living room lights were off, only the dim glow of the sensor light was on.
By the time they reached the bathroom, Juniper was already breathless from his kisses.
She tried to push him away.
Magnus frowned slightly, "Don't want me?"
Juniper's face flushed, "It still hurts a bit."
Magnus seemed to have forgotten about that, kissed her ear, and asked softly, "Will it feel better if I touch it?"
Juniper quickly covered his mouth, glaring at him.
How could his mind be so dirty!
