Chapter 312 Threatened Miscarriage

Jenny nodded her chin, looked at Juniper with wide eyes, and asked, "Mommy, can I keep asking you if you love me?"

Juniper patted her fluffy little head and smiled gently, "Of course, no matter how many times you ask, Mommy will always give you a definite answer."

Jenny stretched out her little arms and hugged Juniper, her sweet voice muffled as it came from Juniper's embrace, filled with emotion. "Mommy, I love you so much too."

Juniper's heart was melting with love as she said, "I love you very, very much too."

Selina, who was driving in the front, glanced at them through the rearview mirror and said with a smile, "Mrs. Blackwood, if Mr. Blackwood knew that you're pregnant now, he would be very happy."

Outside the car window, snowflakes began to fall again.

Juniper held Jenny, looked out the window, and smiled. She wasn't sure if Magnus would be happy.

He always seemed to think kids were annoying. He loved Jenny, but that didn't stop him from finding her chatter annoying at times.

Because of his strong sense of responsibility, he was always strict with Jenny.

Like this time, even though they came to Solara, Jenny didn't miss a single lesson. And after hiring those well-known private tutors, her workload increased significantly.

In addition to regular coursework, she had to learn piano, art, color application, computer skills, public speaking, and debate... Although some courses were still in the introductory stage, once she started, she was not allowed to stop.

Jenny was struggling with her studies, while Magnus silently added more courses.

It was hard to imagine if the second child would have to go through the same thing as Jenny.

By then, Jenny would probably pat her little brother or sister on the head and say, "I went through the same thing; you'll get used to it!"

Thinking of this, Juniper couldn't help but laugh. At first, she didn't have any plans for a second child, but surprises always come faster than plans.

After slowly accepting the news, she began to look forward to the arrival of this child.

After returning home, Juniper was watched by Selina and lay down on the bed.

Selina was very responsible and dedicated. Even when Juniper wanted to go to the bathroom, Selina would help her, afraid she might fall or bump into something.

Juniper sighed, "Although the doctor said I need to rest, isn't this a bit too much?"

When Juniper was pregnant with Jenny, her belly got big in the later stages, and she took a break from school for a while. During that time, she lived alone in a rented apartment, washing dishes, cooking, and doing housework, and she got through it just fine.

Selina didn't think so. "This is a dangerous period. Once you get through the first three months and your body stabilizes, you won't have to be so cautious."

Juniper knew what Selina was worried about. Selina was the housekeeper Magnus hired to take care of Juniper and Jenny. If anything happened to them, Selina would lose her job and might even get into trouble.

Juniper obediently lay back on the bed.

Jenny read a book by her bedside. Juniper felt very sleepy and soon fell asleep.

Half-awake, she dreamed of Royal View.

The scene was blurry and dreamy, like an old movie with a sepia filter.

Jenny was sitting on the living room sofa, holding a chubby kitten, eating chips, and watching cartoons.

She saw herself, with a big belly, being held by Magnus while reading "The Little Prince."

Magnus was casually bantering with Jenny beside him.

Jenny was munching on chips, occasionally rolling her eyes at Magnus and wiping her greasy fingers on his shirt.

A family of four, peaceful and beautiful.

The dream spread endlessly, like a wheat field gently brushed by the wind, with no end in sight, yet soft and bright.

Juniper was awakened by a ringing phone. The caller ID showed Ophelia. She sat up and answered the phone, her voice still drowsy, "Hello, Ophelia?"

On the other end, Ophelia asked in a very urgent voice, "Juniper, are you okay?"

Juniper replied, "I'm fine, what's wrong?"

Compared to Ophelia's anxiety and concern, Juniper seemed overly calm.

Ophelia asked, "Where are you right now?"

Juniper said, a bit helpless, "I told you before, Magnus sent Jenny and me to Solara. We've been here for a few days. By the way, the snow scenery in Solara is beautiful."

According to Juniper's calm tone, it seemed she was still unaware of Magnus and Sophie's engagement news.

Ophelia hesitated, wondering whether to tell her, and said something irrelevant, "I just saw your Instagram post. The snowman you made is so cute."

Juniper's voice was gentle and serene, "If I weren't pregnant, I would definitely take Jenny out for a walk and take lots of beautiful photos for you. But the doctor said I need to rest because my pregnancy is unstable, so I can only stay home and watch the snow."

"What? You're pregnant? Is it... Magnus's?" Ophelia's voice was shaky and overly agitated.

Juniper laughed, "Who else could it be?"

Ophelia bit her lip, hesitating. "Yeah... who else could it be... Silly me! Juniper... are you planning to have this baby?"

Juniper said briskly, "I didn't plan on having another child, but since it's here and Jenny doesn't mind, I can't just abort it."

Ophelia mumbled, "That's true... but... the doctor said your pregnancy is unstable? Is it serious?"

Juniper said, "It shouldn't be a big deal. He just said I need to rest and avoid emotional stress. It should be fine."

Ophelia thought, 'Oh no, she can't have emotional stress.'

Ophelia bit her lip and held back the words on the tip of her tongue. "Well, since you're newly pregnant, you should avoid using your phone too much. Phones have radiation."

Juniper agreed, "Yeah, since coming to Solara, I haven't used my phone much except for calls and messages."

Ophelia agreed and chatted a bit, "Using your phone less is better for your eyes. Pregnant women are prone to nearsightedness."

"Got it. How are you and Mr. Brown doing lately?" Juniper asked.

"Same as usual. Juniper, if you see any bad news recently, don't believe it or dwell on it. A lot of news is fake, haha..." Ophelia could only hint at her.

Juniper found it increasingly strange. Ophelia seemed to have something on her mind.

Juniper asked, "Ophelia, what's going on?"

Ophelia changed the subject again, "Nothing. By the way, does Magnus know about your pregnancy?"

Juniper said, "I tried calling him earlier, but his phone was off. I'll tell him later. He flew to Solara last night to see me and left early this morning. He must be tired. I'll wait until he lands and rests before calling him."

Ophelia's voice suddenly raised. "Magnus flew to Solara to see you last night?"

Juniper was even more puzzled by Ophelia's unusual tone. "Yeah, why?"

Ophelia gritted her teeth. 'That scumbag! He's sweet-talking Juniper while simultaneously announcing his engagement to Sophie! Does he plan to keep Juniper in Solara as his mistress?'
