Chapter 133 Possessiveness

The situation was so awkward that Juniper wanted to leave immediately.

Compared to her discomfort, Magnus seemed as if he hadn't seen anything at all.

He placed the bag of sanitary pads in his hand on the marble countertop in the bathroom and then turned and left.

The bathroom door closed once again.

Extreme awkwardness, that's probably the feeling! Magnus stood outside the door, pinching his fingers.

His gaze was profound.

Juniper had been inside for a long time, mainly to calm her emotions. When she came out in clean pants, out of politeness, she still greeted, "Mr. Blackwood, if there's nothing else, I'll leave now."

"Have you ever thought it would be hard for you to pay me back this way?”

"Before I die, I will work hard to earn money and pay you back as much as I can. In the future, I will send you money every month, but I can't say for sure how much, as my current income isn't very stable. Of course, Mr. Blackwood, if you feel this is unfair or want to seek revenge, you can sue me."

That was his right.

"If you want..."

Juniper's phone suddenly rang.

The caller ID showed Ronald.

"Sorry, I need to take this call."

Juniper turned her back and answered the phone.

"Hello, Ronald."

"Are you at the SY entrance? Got it, I'm done. I'll be right there."

Suddenly, her phone was snatched away by a large hand.

Juniper was stunned and turned to look at him.

Magnus had already hung up her phone, tossing it directly on the desk.

"Magnus, what are you doing!"

His eyes coldly locked onto her, "Are you with Ronald?"

"Mr. Blackwood, have you forgotten that we broke up seven years ago? Who I'm with has nothing to do with you, right? Mr. Blackwood, you have no right to hang up my call."

Juniper took her phone back and tried to leave.

The man grabbed her wrist. "Who you're with is indeed none of my business, but don't forget, you made a promise to Jennifer. Could Jennifer accept Ronald too?"

"I'm not with anyone, and Ronald and I are just friends. Magnus, let go of me!"

Juniper was not in the mood.

What about Ronald?

A man wouldn't be attentive for no reason. He took her out for lunch and picked her up at SY.

Ronald.

She sounded so affectionate when she called that name.

The more Juniper struggled, the more Magnus refused to let her go.

How long had she known Ronald, and how much did she really know about him?

He pushed her into a corner.

Their fingers intertwined, pressing against the wall.

She was enveloped by his breathe. Within the close distance, their breaths mingled.

He lowered his head and nibbled on her earlobe, whispering hoarsely, "That night, it was my mistake that allowed you to escape. This time, if I don't release you, you won't ever leave this building alive.”

"Shameless!"

"Shameless? When you used to be on your period, I even helped you with your pads. Why didn't you call me shameless back then?"

He remembered when he did these things for her, she said, "Magnus, I love you so much."

They used to be a couple in love.

What about now?

Not only was he shameless, but he was also unreasonable!

"Mr. Blackwood, you studied law well. You’ve mastered the art of sophistry."

Her phone rang again.

Magnus glanced at it, a hint of anger in his dark eyes, "Tell Ronald to get lost."

"Magnus, I will be friends with whoever I want! And it has nothing to do with you. If you've forgotten, let me remind you again, we broke up seven years ago!

“Mr. Blackwood, if you don’t understand what that means, I’ll tell you, in seven years, all the cells in the human body have been replaced once. I am no longer the same person. And you too.

"The Juniper from seven years ago loved Magnus to death. She loved him enough to have his child at eighteen. But now, standing before you is 25-year-old Juniper. She doesn't love you anymore, she just wants to stay away from you."

In his arms, she was pale-faced, trembling all over.

This stress response was making it hard for her to breathe. But every word she spoke was incredibly clear and firm.

Magnus stiffened for a moment. In Magnus's paranoid mind, love never disappears, he believed this love had just shifted.

So, had her feelings for him shifted to Ronald? A thick layer of ice formed in his eyes instantly. Leaning in close to her ear, he sneered, "How far have you gone with Ronald?"

He kissed her from her ear to her cheek, then to her lips. The kiss was light but full of possessiveness.

"I told you, I am not dating him."

But Magnus had already lost it, jealousy and anger making him lose control. "Has he touched you like this? Juniper, do you know what I hate most about you?"

He used to think that what he hated most was her betrayal. But now he realized that what he hated most was that she didn't love him. It didn't matter though, if love could shift from him to someone else, it could also shift back to him from someone else.

His kiss became more intense. He bit her lip.

Feeling her tremble intensely, he stopped, "What's wrong, don't you want this?"

Was Ronald better than him? They had only been apart for a year.

Before, when he touched her, she didn't tremble like this.

"Let me go first, please." Her voice was intermittent, almost on the verge of collapse.

Magnus finally realized something was wrong.

Her pale face was covered in fine sweat, the strands of hair on her neck already damp with sweat.

Juniper took the opportunity to push him away, taking a big step back, "Don't come near me!"

She was full of resistance and defense. Leaning against the wall, she slowly crouched down, hugging herself, breathing heavily, and swallowing hard.

Adjusting the rhythm of her breathing, trying to calm down the stress. This reaction was not normal.

Magnus looked down at her, his heart aching.

Did she really hate him this much?

Juniper crouched in the corner, curled up, her face as pale as paper. He reached out, about to touch her. She trembled in fear, almost instinctively.

She pleaded, "Mr. Blackwood, can you please let me go?"

Magnus stood there stiffly, just looking at her, unable to say a word.

After calming herself down, she picked up her phone, turned around, and left the office. Almost fleeing.

This time, Magnus didn't stop her. She asked him to let her go, but who would let him go?

18-year-old Juniper begged for kisses from him. 25-year-old Juniper said she didn't love him anymore.

She left, but he remained in place.

Two minutes after Juniper left, Magnus followed, watching her get into Ronald's car and sit in the passenger seat.

His hand hanging by his side gradually clenched, the knuckles cracking.
