Chapter 385 Continue Tonight?
He held her waist and gently embraced her, causing the shirt that was bunched around her waist to slowly slide down.
A sudden chill enveloped her body.
Juniper's hands tightened around his neck, and they kissed passionately in a koala-like embrace.
After being apart for so long, even a gentle kiss could ignite the passion between them.
Juniper was pressed against the double-door refrigerator, the sudden cold touch on her back making her shiver.
The kitchen was dimly lit, with the blinds always drawn on the window. This area was a single-family home neighborhood, offering great privacy both day and night.
Magnus was almost losing control.
Juniper's slender hands wrapped around Magnus's neck, her fingertips pressing hard, causing the fine veins on the back of her hands to stand out.
In the quiet kitchen, the sound of their heavy breathing was enough to make anyone blush.
Sweat beaded on Juniper's neck, and one of her legs slid down weakly, only to be caught and lifted back up by Magnus' strong hand.
She could hardly look at him, her gaze shifting slightly away.
Suddenly, a cat's meow sounded inappropriately at the kitchen door.
Juniper looked over.
Magnus, who was nuzzling her neck and chest, also paused noticeably.
But it was only a brief pause. Magnus grabbed her chin, turning her face back to him. "Why are you looking at it? Look at me."
Their lips met again.
After a long kiss, Magnus seemed to remember something. He lifted her up and said in a deep voice, "Hold on tight, we're going to the bedroom."
Only now did he think of going to the bedroom?
As he carried Juniper upstairs, the cat followed.
Magnus snapped, "Get down!"
The cat, named "Potato," froze, its big, clear eyes wide with a mix of fear and confusion, retreating half a step.
Juniper was also startled. "Don't scare it into a stress reaction."
Cats could easily get heart disease and die from stress.
Magnus replied, "It's as tough as Jenny."
They went upstairs and slammed the master bedroom door shut.
Potato was left alone at the top of the stairs, meowing sadly.
As soon as the door closed, they clung to each other like magnets, never separating again.
Magnus's pajamas ended up on the carpet, and as for Juniper, her last piece of clothing had long been left on the kitchen floor.
The bed rocked up and down.
Magnus's hand, adorned with a platinum ring, tightly embraced her slender back. Initially, he was gentle and restrained, but gradually, Juniper's furrowed brow relaxed, and her grip on his shoulder loosened.
She seemed to be adapting.
What followed was an endless night of passion.
At one in the morning, Juniper tried to end it, her breath unsteady as she reminded him, "We have to attend the school reunion tomorrow. Don't overdo it."
She heard him chuckle softly. "What's so interesting about a school reunion?"
He didn't expect that she wanted to attend such a boring event.
School reunions were just an excuse for the alma mater to invite "elite individuals" to donate money and show support.
Those who attended were usually there for two reasons: to flaunt their success or to network for business opportunities.
Few went just for fun; most had an agenda.
Magnus wasn't interested in either. He had no enthusiasm for such events.
Especially with Juniper in his arms, he had even less desire to attend the reunion.
Juniper was slightly taken aback. "You're not going? But I promised Ophelia I'd go."
Magnus pressed her back, moving forward, his gentleness and tenderness almost shattered at that moment. "If you go, I'll go."
Juniper's foot tensed, almost exhausted.
The next day, the sun was high in the sky.
A ray of cold winter sunlight shone on the bed.
Juniper, still drowsy, felt something tickling her face. She thought it was Magnus and reached out to push it away, only to feel something furry.
Opening her eyes, she saw Potato on the bed, boldly licking her face.
Juniper yelped and pushed Potato away.
Potato, being clingy, seemed particularly fond of Juniper. When it couldn't lick her face, it rubbed against her bare arm.
Juniper lay there, her mind blank for a moment.
When she tried to prop herself up, her whole body ached as if it had fallen apart.
She resisted the urge to curse.
She reached for her phone on the bedside table and checked the time. It was already eleven o'clock.
Fortunately, the school reunion didn't start until two in the afternoon.
Juniper wasn't in a hurry. She held Potato and absentmindedly stroked its fur.
When Magnus walked in, he saw Potato "greedily" staring at Juniper, even trying to lick her neck. He strode over and tossed the cat aside.
Potato curled up in a corner, looking innocent.
Juniper was puzzled. "Why are you so mean to Potato? Look how scared it is."
Magnus replied, "It's up to no good."
Juniper laughed. "What bad intentions could a cat have?"
She got up, and the blanket slipped a bit, revealing her beautifully contoured shoulders and arms.
Magnus pulled the blanket up and said, "It's a male cat."
Juniper was stunned for a moment. "Didn't we have it neutered before?"
Usually, after the surgery, they didn't go into heat.
Magnus was indifferent, casually saying, "That doesn't mean it's well-behaved."
This Potato was overly attached to Juniper.
Potato looked at Juniper with innocent eyes, as if asking her to speak up for it.
Magnus gave it a cold look and said, "If you keep pretending, I'll send you to Robert's house."
After freshening up, Juniper came downstairs.
Naomi and the chef Mason were not around. It was almost lunchtime, and Magnus was cooking in the kitchen.
Juniper walked over and hugged his waist from behind, peeking over his shoulder. "What are you making?"
"I ordered some groceries this morning. We'll have something simple for lunch. How about a sandwich?"
He handed her a glass of warm water.
Juniper took it and sipped slowly. "It's okay, I'm not very hungry."
Magnus looked at her, a teasing smile in his eyes. "After so many rounds last night, you're not hungry?"
Juniper froze.
He raised an eyebrow, mischievously saying, "Looks like you're not tired. How about we continue tonight?"
Juniper choked on her water and quickly said, "I'm tired!"
Magnus raised his hand to gently pat her back, casually saying, "What about you just lie still tonight?"
